Katra's urgency startled him, and so Curtis didn't hesitate to take Christine from her.
"Maybe you should lie down," he suggested once the baby was safe in his arms. "You don't look well."

Several hours later, there were parts everywhere and Luka and Connor were covered in various types of grease and oil. Luka slid out from under the fourwheeler. "Okay, so, I could use food, you?"

Holly gave Jeff one last squeeze. "I'm gonna go check on dinner. Do you want me to let you know when its ready." Yakov nodded and Holly took Kyle's hand and pulled him out of the room.

Kat doubled over and tried not to cry out loud. Curtis would be furious if he knew that the pain was just from his bite.

Kyle caught himself before he could apologize for that. They made it to the kitchen and Kyle sat down at the counter.

Holly laughed a little as she pulled two sodas out of the fridge. "You were gonna apoplgize for that weren't you."

Holly smirked. "Yes, there is. Seriously though, everyone just kind of does there own thing. Freya's usually out with Elsa, Erika's always doing stuff with her friends somewhere. Luka, Jimmy, and Greg are usually out in the shed rebuilding there little machines...and they seem to have roped in Connor as well. Dad'll be out ice fishing. Mom's basically running the house every second of everyday. Yakov's usually upstairs with whoever he happened to bring home and I'm usually in the studio. Oh and the boys usually congregate to cook dinner with mom."

Kyle smiled. "The guys cook? Well thats cool!" He took a sip from his soda. "Do you think, Yakov and Jeff will be down for dinner?"
