The dragon lioness growled, her claws unsheathing as well. "Oh yes, I think about only -myself-. I -never- care for or watch out for my sister. Far be it from me to actually care about somebody, much less Shaitani." Her tail lashed the air like a whip.
"Don't talk to me in that kind of tone. You may be Queen but if I am forced to stay here, I'll be hunting for -your- food." A poisonous glare was dealt to both of the lions. "You might want to remember that..Queen."
Trembling in anger, the red and black lioness nuzzled her King's shoulder and left the small group to curl up in the darkest depths of the cave.

Leanna heard the spat and stifled a sigh. Though her eyes were closed, she was fully alert. The older lioness decided to let Kun Yi to be alone for a while. She needed to think and to clear her head. Leanna would go after her later to talk things out. She just hoped that the others would do the same. Without thinking, she spoke. "It is just best to leave her be..." Her eyes opened as her head lifted upward looking at the two leaders. "If you think about it, this is the toughest thing for her. Wouldn't you feel the same way if your mate had to fight for you?" She questioned then looked down as if in deep thought.

Adelle look to her new king and stepped up. "I can take a watch for you if you wish sir." Her swept her tail back and forth before taking a seat near the enterance. She had a good mind to take a watch anyways.
Nola looked up when she heard the adults growling and snapping. Her ears folded down slowly and she shook her head. "I'm not sure thats such a good idea Akira...the others sound really mad."

The little cub woke when the sounds of arguement reached her ears. A tiny mewl escaped her mouth, trying to hide in the magenta fur. These sounds sounded familiar to her, like the sounds of the King who had hurt her.

Ling turned to look at Leanna from the enterance of the cave. "For the short amount of time that I was with my king and queen I showed them the respect they deserved. I was calm, quiet with them, I never gave them the trouble that Kun Yi has given me. " His tail lashed on the ground behind him.
He looked up at Adelle came over to him. This new lioness was kind, she knew her place. "I thank you for your offer, Adelle. Perhaps It would do me good to sleep now...." He sighed and rose from the ground. He moved over to his queen and ran his body against her side before turning to look at Leanna again. "Had I been I in her place I would have challenged my king without question, I would have expected my mate to treat the queen with respect, and my king as well. I ask very little of you all Leanna, all I want in peace in this pride, it is my job to make certain that things run smoothly, and a lioness that does not know her place is the weakest link a pride can have."

Somewhat in a daze, Meribelle heard Ling's words. She wondered, when she was onlder, what would her place be? There had been no question before, back when she was still a young princess, but now, she was somewhat happy. Happy she didn't have to live up to such high standards, and that she could use her strengths to full ability, but she also was sad, thinking about what could have been. Then she caught sight of Leanna, and smiled. The kind lioness was back, yay!

Leanna gasped softly at the sound of Blaze and lowered her nose to nuzzle the young one. "Shh..it's alright little baby...shh..." Leanna licked Blaze's forhead to reassure the young kit. "Shh...stop your cries, young one.." After quieting her, Leanna listened to what her King had to say. "I understand that perfectly, King..." She trailed off not knowing what to say next. The fact that he brought her brother and his mate into it didn't sit well with her. Leanna nuzzled the cub softly in a loving way.

Xia cocked her head at Kun Yi's words. "What tone? I was mearly stating a fact or can't I anymore?" She gave her a slight glare and then licked Ling's face as he ran his body against her side. The pink lioness smiled calmingly at her King then went to the back of the cave to check on the cubs. Her smile widened as she saw them and leaned over to pull Nola close to her and hugged her with the same silky paw. "Who wants to play with me?" she asked with a giggle and she laid down for if they wanted to climb over her. heart
She didn't try to ignore Leanna, she just didn't notice her there at the moment as she was trying to calm herself down.

Meribelle was curious asto what Leanna had. He ears perked curiously, and she trotted over to the lioness, "hello, again" She smiles.

She looked over at the young lioness and smiled. "Heya, Meribelle." Even though she could not hide the tiredness from her eyes, she still had that sparkle. "How has your time with the cubs been?" She nudged the young cub on the nose. "I hope it hasn't been too hectic for you."

"The other cubs seems nice" She nodded and plopped down on her back, pawing at the air, "Lotsa drama with the older lions though,.." she said as she played with the air.

Adelle took her spot at the cave entrance and stood her ground fully alert and ready to take action if needed. She saw Xia with her Nola and smiled a little.
Nola smiled a little as Xia nuzzled her. "Now you want to play? What wil we play?"She knew that things with the adults were far from alright but there was nothing she could do about it.

Xiao emerged from the shadows and snuggled her sisters shoulder. "Hey you... Whats going on?" Her green eyes peered at the dragon. "You're going to leave me..."

The king nodded to Leanna and to Adelle before moving to the back of the cave, near his queen. He could nearly taste the fear coming from the cubs, this was not good. Everything he had tried to adhear to in this pride, it was falling apart. He was angery with the pair, yes, he had the right, but the others now feared him as well. He sighed and fell in a large black and white heap in the back of the cave. Rest, he needed rest before the sun rose. When the golden orb rose in the sky he would have to fight, and he didn't nkow if he could really do it. He feared the consequences if he he lost, but what of the consequences if he won?

Nola looked at Ling and then moved closer to him. "King Ling?" She said to get his attention. "I may not be very old...and I don't know what is going on...but I do know that you took me in and kept me safe so you will always have my respect."
