Kaleb made a little unhappy noise. "You went to sleep when I did, right?" He asked, holding off on his nudging for the time being.

He didn't answer this time. He was suppose to be asleep and if you were asleep you didn't answer questions.

The little mage frowned. He had been happy to see Riley awake, but his partner's refusal to acknowledge his awake state was disappointing. "Fine, I'll go get breakfast on my own." He sat up and inched towards the edge of the bed.

His arms tightened around Kaleb. His partner wasn't going anywhere while he could stop him. It would get cold without him and Kaleb would hurt himself getting to the kitchen.

Kaleb huffed. "Let go, you're not supposed to care if I leave if you're sleeping!" He tried to struggle away so he could go get breakfast.

He didn't answer but tugged Kaleb back against him. His pillow wasn't going anywhere.

"Mrrf..." Kaleb huffed again and lay still for a couple seconds before making another attempt to squirm away. "You're not being fair, either you're awake or you're not!"

"Alright awake ... not getting up." He huffed and rested his head on Kaleb's shoulder. "Too early. Alarm hasn't gone off yet"

"My alarm would have gone off an hour and a half ago, I-I'm hungry." Kaleb said, giving Riley a miserable look. "If you don't want to get up, I'll go myself."

He groaned and eventually sat up. Looking at his clock he reached over and flicked the alarm so it wouldn't go off. "Fine ..." He yawned. "Ya can get breakfast"

"Okay," Kaleb said, finally managing to swing his legs over the edge of the bed. "You can stay here if you'd like, it's too early for you to be up." He carefully got to his feet, but winced when he tested his injured ankle. Undeterred by the pain, he attempted to limp-hop to the nearest wall so he could lean on it until he got to the kitchen.

He yawned again as he got up and picked Kaleb up. "Gotta stop walkin on that." He grumbled as he lugged him to the couch. "wadda want fer breakfast?"

Kaleb squeaked in an undignified manner as he was scooped up. "Riley! I-I can get breakfast on my own!" He wiggled until he found himself on the couch, and then he huffed. "Really, I was fine..."

Kaleb fidgeted a bit, but chose not to protest further since their definitions of 'fine' obviously differed. "I-is just toast okay?" he asked after a couple seconds. "Toast with peanut butter?"
