Rhoslyn Vernal Well, I'm just learning from everyone's favorite backyard gun-totin' Jesus-lovin' anti gubernmint totally-not-sponsored-by-Republican tactdicks: anything I don't approve of, is either Communism or done by a Communist. If your manager is being a d**k, it's because he's secretly building up your resentment towards the bourgeoisie in hopes that you will form the vanguard of the worker's revolution. If your woman is being a b***h, it's because she's subconciously lashing out at you for your inherent participation in the young-n-skinny buy-more capitalist society. That's why I hate this Republican vs. Democrat bullshit. Generally, there's absolutely no difference: they're both very Progressive (which is laundered Communism).

I spent a while staring at the screen, trying to think of a reply.
The words I least associate with either political party... well, "progressive" is on that list.
Of course, we all know I swing extremely left.

What? Did I just see someone talking about politics in this thread? I have a feeling that if I back read I'm either going to loose more faith in my generation or see Glenn Beck impersonators. Suffice to say I'm not backreading. rofl

Politics leads to war, war leads to giant robots, giant robots lead to explosions, explosions lead to destruction, destruction leads to rebuilding, rebuilding leads to politics. It's the circle of life.

The usual naivety.. why avoid politics with such a passion? I never understood it - of course each and every political party is corrupt and full of douchebaggery, but simply turning your nose up at it and trying to stay uninvolved is the exact opposite of how to even partially rectify the many prevalent issues at hand. The constant apathy shown towards politics when an active hand is required for any kind of positive change to occur is exactly why every system of government that considers itself "free" can rot into the floor so easily, only small little 'groups' try to influence anything via a non-vote procedure and usually through ineffective manners of protest. Most don't do s**t to influence their nation in the slightest except insult the representatives of any given party. Even an action as simple as voting for their preferred poison so operations go smoother is too difficult for more and more.
Avoiding conflict does nothing. God damn it.
[Rubs eyes.] Toothpicks.

We avoid it because uninformed shitheads who have enough knowledge about one side of something to think they know all about it can't tell the difference between a debate about things you cannot change and an argument about things you cannot change.

Well, I'm not so much into politics as I am into LIBERTY to the individual. I believe that every human must be given every liberty that does not interfere with those of another. When they do, we have laws to protect us from each other, not from ourselves. Big governments, by definition, don't let that happen.
Yes, that means I believe that there should be no such thing as an illegal drug. If anyone wants to make the arguement that people steal and kill to support a drug habit,
1. People steal and kill for dumber reasons
2. There is/will be laws against theft and murder, since those interfere with the right of another to property and life, respectfully.
