Alric continued looking at Rin, realizing what Patches had said concerning the time.

Smiling, Rin went back over to the window, her hand holding onto his as she led him over.
"There is a great view here, don't you think?"

Alric followed rin over to the window, she continued to hold his hand as he looked down to them...then back to rin.
"yes it is lovely...patches has a very nice place here...its a pity he doesn't et to spend more time here."
The whole time he is looking to rin...seeing how lovely she looks in her outfit and how he will barely have a chance to see her during the party....he imagines patches will scarcely let her out of his sight.

"Yes... I hope I can change that, with ending the war."
She smiled, looking out the window, squeezing his hand a little... before looking back to him.
"Then you will not worry about me anymore, and everyone can be happy."

"Yes, that will be a great day when the war is finally over. We have been fighting for so long, I don't think anybody remembers what it was like before it. But even when that happens, I will still worry about you."
He squeezed his hand in return as she turned to look at him, giving her a small smile of reassurance.

Smiling at him in return, she squeezed his hand again, allowing their fingers to intertwine. She didn't know why, but this felt comfortable, as most of their physical contact had for the past couple of weeks... Perhaps it was because of how she really needed physical contact because... well, before hand... but it seemed that she wasn't satisfied unless it was including him someway.
So she looked into his eyes.
"I don't mind... although I really wish you were not worried..."

"There will never be a time where I do not worry about you for at least a little bit."
Alric did not feel uncomfortable saying this to her, it felt right to say. Briefly glancing down at their fingers intertwined, he smiled to himself, loving the contact that he was allowed with her, he wished for more but wasn't ready to ask for it yet. There would come a day where he would, but right now she didn't need any more distraction.

Looking into his eyes still... she saw something behind them... something she recognized...
"Alric..."
She said it quietly... more stating his name then asking for him to reply... For some reason she wanted to hear his name, to remember that it was Alric in front of her, who she was holding hands with...

Alric raised his glance, looking into her eyes, waiting for Rin to finish the thought that she had begun, before realizing she wasn't going to say anything.
"Was there anything you wanted to ask?"

Alric felt a little embarrassed about asking her, and when she turned away he knew something had embarrassed her. Alric looked around the room, seeing the doors that led to the balcony, turning to Rin.
"Would you like to go out to the balcony, and get a better view?"

Giving a little nod, she just went over to the balcony and opened the doors, walking outside to the rail. It was beautiful, and she often loved to sit out here when the weather was nice.
She didn't look to him, a bit embarrassed... She was a little puzzled with her actions towards him, and a little embarrassed at his reactions to them...
I suppose I should keep my hands more to myself.

Alric glanced around, seeing the people beginning to show up at the party. There would be a lot of people there, he would really have to keep his eye out, and keep his eye on Rin. His mind quickly back to the lady standing in front of him, not knowing what to say himself, he stood there, staring off at the beautiful scenery with her, but every once in a while sneaking a glance at her.

They stand there awkwardly on the balcony, not sure what to do next, enjoying the time, as he watched the beautiful woman who suddenly seemed really awkward in this moment. Standing beside her, he placed his hands on the railing, so that their hands brushed up against each other, looking out over the sea.
