Saki saw a human-like creature from behind Mr. A. She did not act surprised, but inside, she was. She had learned to hide her emotions behind a straight face when she was little. Is that... a demon? she thought. She mentally giggled as she pictured what Mr. A's reaction might be. I wonder who summoned it. Then she saw the demon look at a boy with white hair. It could have been the vampire blood controlling her feelings, but Saki thought This school year might be fun. Realizing what she just thought, she mentally shook off that feeling.

Gallant's eyes narrowed as a creature formed behind the teacher. He didnt move, but quietly erected an invisible barrier against physical attacks. It never hurt to be cautious. At the same time, he didnt say anything. He didnt want to be branded the spoil=sport or tattle-tail in the class room.

Silvia remained completely unphased. Psssh, he thinks THAT is a distraction? Ha! I could pull off a much better one....she thought to herself, and yawned.

Kit noticed something form behind Mr. A, and bit her lip to keep in noise as she saw that seemed to be turning into some hidious hellish creature. She too sharnk back slightly in her seat, hopign it wouldn't attack.

Mr. A. noticed that the class seemed slightly destressed by something. With a sigh, the man turned around and simply..... made a "hm" sound at the shadow demon, then went over and turned off the lights. At once the room was dark enough so that the shadow disappeared.

"Shadows can only exist by some sort of light; adding light will only add to it's power as it will have more space to take up for itself." he replied simply to hold off the power usage til the correct class for such, please. There's no need to give away all your powers just yet." he said in a teasing hint of what's to come.

"As to answer your question, good sir," he said as he turned back to the students. "The literature we will look upon will vary; some will have many sorts of interpterations, especially if it comes to those dealing with superhuman abilities and how other creatures and races will react and interperet such.

Such as one we will look at, a classic battle between a lycan and a vampire, 'The Crimson Duel' by Robert McGullen. Some call it maginifcant, others think it's racist and stereotypes the creatures, others believe it's so dull and drawn out of a battle that they'd rather watch a chick flik." he shrugged.

"Other stories will ahve other good dicussion points; some dno't diclose exact locations, some have clues leading up to how it will end, things like that. I'll make sure we have a balanced readign list to give you all a taste of all hte literature cusine." he answered.

When the teacher turned off the light and acted like he knew things that he shouldnt be meddling with Raiden was quite annoyed, he was still there, just not visible, he completely exsisted. He returned to his normal state but moved and warped himself around the teacher and spoke in his ear loud enough so everyone can hear. "My good sir," He said in a polite manner, "I do believe you are mistaken, i am no mere shadow, for i do not need light, in fact, i thrive better in the darkness." he said this last thing with a bit of a harsh hiss, "I would like it if you refrain from dismissing me so easily, for that i think i will join your class thismorning." As he said that he stretched a long dark hand to the wall and flipped the lights on before sitting in the teachers chair, "you now may begin my good sir." He said with an evil smile.

Gallant smiled. The kid had guts....but he was, unfortunately, completely without tact. What the misfortunate student failed to realize was twofold. One, that he could be kicked out of the school. Then no one would ever think of him again within these walls. All his flaunting and over-zealousness would be for nought. The second, and this was something Gallant constantly reminded himself of, was that this school was created by and for people with abilities far surpassing moving shadows and morphing monstrosities. It would stand to reason that anyone gathering THIS much power in one place ALREADY had an ace up their sleeve for dealing with egotistical brats like this.

Of course, Gallant said none of this. Rather he would wait it out. There was no need for him to enter the conflict when the teacher, calm and in control, could handle such a simple situation.

But Gallant smiled all the same.

Ryuk heard Gallants thoughts clearly, he awnsered them. Ah my friend you see i do not have any control over my friend the demon, he shares my body and has free reign when he wants, i did not plan for him to cause a confrontation, but i am not worried, i wont be leaving so soon.

Jasper frowned at the sensation of someone - that white-haired kid - speaking inside his head. And, apparently, replying to him. Which meant the boy had heard his thoughts.
I'm not sure I like being overheard, he replied mentally. Then he threw up a mind-shield and shut down most of his higher thoughts.
The state this produced was quite comfortable, actually. It was a bit like being stoned. Rather than keeping up a running commentary on everything he was experiencing, his brain only produced occasional conscious thoughts, like hiccups. His unconscious mind, of course, kept running and was preparing a shield to prevent any further intrusion. The one he had thrown up was only a stopgap measure.
This was probably the reason that Jasper stretched like a cat and leaned forward, his head in his hands and his elbows on the desk. He wore a slight smile with a half-lidded expression of contentment. As the teacher spoke, only one thing filtered through that Jasper felt merited a reply.
"Nothing wrong with a good chick flick," he said, yawning.

Sarah shrank back further, miserable. Great. Now we have a demon joining the class. And he's hostile. And not scared by darkness.
At least one thing was good about the situation: the demon had stolen the teacher's chair, not sat among the students. If anyone was to be attacked, the teacher would be first, and he would likely be able to defend himself.
Sarah heard another giggle behind her and turned in amazement to see what Melanie was laughing at. The girl's eyes were dancing with amusement. "Sorry," she whispered. "It's just that I've met this demon before."
Sarah was dumbstruck for a moment. "When?" she managed.
"Oh, while you ran off," Melanie replied carelessly. "Ryuk took me up to the roof -" she pointed to the boy over by the window- "and he brought Raiden out - that's the demon," she explained. She tilted her head curiously. "I think Ryuk has a pretty good hold on him. I wonder why he's letting Raiden insult the teacher like this?"

Unlike Jasper, Gallant didnt bother to fight Ryuk's ability. Your control, and indeed your ability over your abilities is not in question here. Gallant pushed the thoughts to the surface to let Ryuk read them. The fact of the matter is that you are responsible for that thing. Right now he is acting like he owns the place. It is that over-confidence that will get you in trouble at some point to come. And while I am quite sure you are formidable, you must realize the common sense in being wary. After all, there is ALWAYS a bigger fish in the sea. Gallant loved qoutting anything and everything whenever he could. His mental tone was not snobbish or angry; he was genuinely cautioning the other student.
Besides, at the risk of sounding like a teacher's pet, it will be difficult to get learning done with that thing waltzing around and I rather like English. Can't you wait to do this in Math class. Gallant thought the joke in the most amusing mental voice he could muster.

Ryuk smiled under his hands, I suppose, he awnsered, but you see, Raiden quite likes English and wishes to take part in the class, at this point he has done nothing wrong, the teacher merely ticked him off, that is why he is acting this way, if anything were to truely be bad, i would quickly take control of the situation. he finished replying before looking at Melanie, she was enjoying Raiden as much as he was.

I'm just a cautious one, but I think your...ally....well eventually 'tick' the teacher of as much as the other way around. Gallant thought humourously. He was enjoying the conversation in his mind, a truly unique experience.
At least you are never bored with him around.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 13, 2009 2:49 pm

I understand your concern, Ryuk replied, but i have no intention of letting Raiden do anything too radical, i am a cautios one aswell and do not wish for an unneccasary course of action, if you catch my meaning.

Saki watched as the teacher turned the lights off and answer the question. Then the demon spoke to Mr. A. So it's joining the class. I hope it won't be too distracting, Saki said. Then she got that too familiar urge to drink blood. She almost sighed, but suppressed the sigh. Stupid vampire blood, she thought as she suppressed the urge.

((Hm... Saki started to reply to you, but then the bell rang and we all went to English class. People chose seats. The English teacher came in - I recommend you look at Sora Kitty's post to get a feel for what he's like. Ryuk sent Raiden, his demon, behind the teacher and it took a really gross form. The teacher tried to banish it by turning off the lights. The demon decided to stay. And Ryuk is talking in people's heads.))
