He sighed then nodded. "Alright. You need me in top shape to help anyway, yes?" he asked, guessing at the real reason she was pushing this now. It still didn't make sense, she should e having him finish the incubator, and THEN caring for himself.

He shrugged a bit. "I've been in worse pain before. Blew a furnace once...." he widened his eyes. bad thing to say. "I won't let that happen again though, don't worry." He didn't want her to decide that she and the egg would be safer elsewhere. he didn't know why, but some how that thought made his heart hurt. A lot.
