"Remember, many of the tales are based off a grain of truth," Gitano said with a chuckle. "Though, each one of us had his or her own strengths, weaknesses, powers, and stories. Your more than welcome to ask questions, you know."
Gitano watched Thorn go off to the bar and Therin make her way towards them. "I've been enjoying myself. So far at least." He looked back over to Thorn and sighed. "The first years are the hardest, Suzuka. Even for someone like Thorn. It might be a sore spot for her for some time, but she'll learn for next time." He didn't want to sound callous, but it was something they all had to deal with. Learn from your mistakes, or you don't live long.
The drunk who had come between Suzuka and him earlier saw that there was another woman standing with them. He swaggered over and hung an arm around Suzuka. "I'll forgive what you said earlier, if you come with me. Besides, it seems that someone else wants your date."
((Yeah, I brought him back. I want to play with a miffed Gitano. Not angry, but miffed. I'm a bit mean to my characters -evil smile-))

Zack smiled sympathetically at Thorn and patted her back and leaned in beside her ear
"you shouldn't be so hard on yourself every time you mess up, i know your very proud of being *what u are* and you want to show it off to the world...but you must remember that you live on earth now...and here...humans aren't supposed to know that your kind are real, not to be rude, and i know it's hard..but i believe in you Thorn. Your one tough chick. So your going to get through this, you just have to be patient and believe in yourself....and slow down, dont be in such a rush to grow up, my dearest Thorn" Zack said smiling and leaning back from her ear. Thorn lifted her head off the table to look at him. Her red eyes still slightly sad looking but she smiled confidently and nodded.
"Thanks Zack , you always know how to cheer me up and your right i can get through this. currently 19 and counting." Thorn said with a thumbs up.

Therin nodded at Gitano's explanation to Suzuka. "True. And it's both a blessing and a curse for her, being a pure blood born. She has grown up knowing about our world, and how to do things. But that makes her feel like she has to be absolutely perfect at everything. I think that might be part of the reason she doesn't live at home..."
Just then, the man she had noticed the drunk who had come between Suzuka and Gitano come walking back over. She shut up, stepping back a bit and glaring at the man. 'Well, she gave him the brush off once, lets see what she does this time.'
Suzuka listened, shaking her head. "Poor Thorn." She smiled at Gitano. "Thanks, but I don't think this is exactly the place for questions. Maybe later..."
Then the drunk came back over and wrapped an arm around her. Seeing red, she shook him off and backed up a step, putting her fists up to defend herself. "Stay away from me, you drunken a*****e! I swear to God, if you come near me again, you'll regret it." She knew the threat was pretty weak, but she hoped it would do.

The man didn't quite understand the meaning of the word no for he still tried to place his arm around Suzuka. "Aw, 'come on. I could be a great boyfriend."
Gitano now growled softly. He placed his hand on the man's shoulder and said, "The lady said that she did not want to dance with you. It would be wise if you find another woman to court."
The man, of course, became upset and turned to punch Gitano. But the vampire stepped aside and the punched passed him. He grabbed the man's hand and twisted it back behind his back, wrapping his other arm around the man's throat, not quite chocking him, but not making it easy to breath.
Gitano leaned in close to the man's ear and whispered, "Now then, I want you to leave us well enough alone. It wouldn't do you well to stay here any longer. Go home and sober up." Normally the hypnosis works best when the person had lost a bit of blood, but since the man was drunk off his a** it worked just as well. The man staggered away and left the club.
"There. That should take care of him for now," he said before returning his attention to Therin and Suzuka. "That, and she never got to feel what it was like to be human in the first place..."

Suddenly Thorn turned her head over to what all the ruckus was about. She saw that the druken man was back and bothering susuka again. Thorn narrowed her eyes and growled softly. She was about to run over there and beat up the guy when Gitano beat her too it and made the drunk leave the club. Thorn quickly turned back to Zack
"I'll catch you around Zack , but i have to see if my friends are ok, and thanks for cheering me up" Thorn said smiling and then quickly running over to the others.
"Hey is everything ok" Thorn said looking around at everyone before looking at Gitano.
"Thanks for taking care of that drunk, i wanted to have a swing at him, you know telling him off and stuff, no fighting, but you beat me too it " Thorn said smiling warmly and happily. Then Thorn looked at Susuka with a concerned caring expression.
"Susuka , your ok right, that jerk did'nt hurt you anywhere did he" Thorn said in a warm caring voice.

Therin growled at the man as Gitano put him in a near choke hold and forced him to leave. She had little use for those who couldn't take a hint. "Stupid drunks. Why do men always feel.... what's the phrase...ten feet tall and bullet proof? when they have too much to drink?" She shook her head at the retreating man's back, then cocked her head at Gitano's last comment. "Hmm, true. That might be part of it. Not that she's really missing TOO much, but still..." She saw Thorn approaching them then and dropped the conversation.
Suzuka closed her eyes for a moment after Gitano forced the drunk away, taking deep breaths to calm herself. She hadn't realized it, but her hands were shaking and she could feel tears starting to p***k the backs of her eyes. 'Damn, I hate that my anger and tears are so connected! It's embarrassing.'
She heard Therin and Gitano's exchange, but didn't comment. She took a last deep breath and opened her eyes when she heard Therin's voice, forcing a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. More pissed off than anything, really. And a little shaken. But I was never really afraid. I knew Gitano and Therin would protect me if it came to that." She smiled at them gratefully. She then turned back to Thorn, mimicking the other girl's concern. "How about you? Are you doing better now?"

Gitano saw that Suzuka looked strained, "Why don't we go outside? You might feel better with some fresh air." He placed his hands on her shoulders to calm her, rubbing them gently.

Thorn smiled warmly at Suzuka
"well im glad your ok " Then Thorn's eyes widen slighty and a slight blush crossed her face. Besides Suzukas grandfather, no other human ever expressed such concern for Thorn. So Thorn was taken aback a lil bit. Thorn smiled , stratching her index finger on the side of her face.
"uh...ya..i just needed a drink and to think about things." Thorn said trying to smile happily. So not to cause any more worry , but some of the dissappoiment could still be detected in her red eyes and voice.

Therin nodded. "That sounds like a good idea, Suzuka. Why don't the two of you go out back for a little while? It's quieter out there than in the front."
She leaned in close to Suzuka and kept her voice low. "I'll stay here and keep an eye on Thorn if it'll make you feel better." 'For her sake more than yours. I trust you'll be alright,' she sent mentally to Thorn, so the younger vampire wouldn't get her feelings hurt.
Suzuka's mind was rattling a little bit, and the constant thump from the music didn't help her clear it at all. She looked between her three companions for a moment. She wasn't sure she trusted how well Thorn was doing, but if Therin was going to stay with her.... well, she would know better how to deal with her anyway.
Gitano's rubbing her shoulders felt good and she closed her eyes slightly. "Alright. We'll be back in later. If you girls want to leave before then, or if anything else happens... come and get us." She turned to Gitano to let him lead the way.

Gitano took Suzuka's hand and together they weaved their way towards the large back doors. Once in the alleyway, Gitano slid the door closed, placing a cement block as a blocker so they may get back in. Then he led Suzuka to the small steps of the landing and had her sit down. He sat on the step above her and started to massage her shoulders again.
"Sorry about that..." he said softly.

Thorn got Therins message and smiled
"ya i'll be fine , dont worry about it" Thorn said telephatly back to Therin as Suzuka and Gitano made their way to the back doors.
"come on lets go back to dancing" Thorn said starting to dance a lil bit

Therin watched Suzuka and Gitano head outside. She sighed, hoping the girl would be alright. She seemed to be coping well right now, but humans could go into shock and snap later.
Then she turned to Thorn, shaking her head and smiling. No worries about that girl, apparently. "I don't get you. Not two minutes ago, you were practically crying in your martini, now you're ready to dance again." She chuckled a bit. "Oh well, let's dance." She closed her eyes a bit to get a feel for the tune, then started dancing.
Suzuka sat where Gitano told her, closing her eyes in contentment when he started massaging again. "MMMM. Oh, it's alright. I wasn't your fault. I guess that's just one of the hazards of being pretty and going to a bar. You occasionally have to deal with drunken, horny idiots."
She thought for a moment. "What really has me worried is that guy of Thorn's. You think he'll cause any more problems?"

Thorn smiled at Therin.
"well i do love being a mystery...but dont get me wrong , i am still kinda mad at myself , but instead of beating myself over it , why not try to have some fun so i dont get depressed over it. Its good to be optimistic" Thorn said , not sure if she was making any kind of sense.

"True, but I should have acted sooner..." Gitano said as his hands moved towards the base of Suzuka's neck. "Tell me if it starts to hurt ok?"
"As to that man? Thorn's going to have to find a new...'haunt' for a little while and act as if she was a human. Shouldn't take to long for him to forget the event..."
But if worse comes to worse we have more...persuasive ways of dealing with such mishaps, he thought silently, baring his fangs in anger at the situation, though not showing any other signs of that anger.

Suzuka chuckled. "Well, I guess for us, being a bit mysterious is a good thing. Helps draw them in while also keeping them at a distance. And I'm glad you aren't going to let one little mistake bring you down. I don't think there's any of us that haven't messed up at one point or another. You'll learn in time."
Suzuka tensed a bit when Gitano's hands moved to her neck, but after a moment she relaxed. "Mmmm. I've found that with chiropractors and masseuses, it may be more sore right after, but it feels better a day or two later."
She looked down the alley. "Well, at least there are several other places around here. I know they might not be her favorite places, but...." She flinched as his grip got a bit tighter after he spoke. 'Ouch, I wonder what he's thinking that's got him so upset...?'
