Mudslide? I will keep that in mind.
And yeah for awhile I refused to drink anything, or smoke anything, or do drugs (that aren't medically required, of course!). I still don't do the last two things, but I'm starting to do up the drinking part little by little.

Well, I'm a big vodka guy. I can drink it warm right outta the bottle if I must. I'm certain most any mixed drink would sit well enough with you provided it isn't too sweet. I avoid mixed drinks because I don't think it's a very manly way of approaching alcohol. Some places though (such as bowling alleys) offer the most bang for yoru buck via the mixed drink, and in these instances I'll have a Long Island or Grateful Dead. I am not one for mixed drink recommendations. As far as beer is concerned, I know Canada vs. US is a whole different ball game. I think Molson Canadian is common up there and not very strong. I don't know if you could find the Rolling Rock that I used to drink, of course now I don't so much since they've changed where it's brewed, but that was very tasty and not so much that thick grain taste that beer drinkers enjoy. I happen to enjoy that from time to time, and since I'm guessing you do not I would say to stay away from Guiness and Amber Bock and such. =p

I'm a cider guy myself, well, that or vodka and lemonade.
Anyway, I feel crummy right now. I was just put on the spot by my boss over the phone. He asked if I would change my Sunday shift this week from 9-6 to 12-10:15. Sure it would mean an hour and a quarter's extra pay, sure it would mean I don't have to leave the party I'm going to tomorrow early but I just didn't wanna do it!
I mean, if I had stayed at that party longer I would have been coming back past midnight, and the taxi would cost more. Plus, I would be guilt-tripping myself into doing college revision all morning, and on top of all that I would be going into work knowing it would be bedtime when I got home!
Damnit! I feel really, really bad for letting my boss down like that (it's likely he'll have to cover the shift) but I just didn't want to do it! gonk

And Skully that sucks. I've been where you are when I'm sick or just didn't feel up to working and told my boss I couldn't do that, or if he asks me to come in and I say I can't. It's not a very good feeling, I know sad But, if he's a cool boss it should pass. Mine's pretty cool most of the time.

I have only had to do that a couple times at work, but it was for important reasons. Normally I work as the extra pay is nice to have.
and all this talk of beer makes me want a Kokanee or Rickard's Red. Good stuff.
Swooboo is right. There are lots of different beers. You'll just have to try several different brands and see if you can find one.
Also, maybe beer isn't your thing. Try the odd mixed drink and you'll probably come across one you like. Just don't drink too much razz

My bf likes some Lagunitas beer called Brown Sugga.

A terrible new beer. I believe it's made by an ultra-famous musician, I forget his name though. Anyway it's weaker and worse-tasting than corona!

Rant: I'm at work. I will eventually need to get food, but I don't know what. And what I usually get makes my stomach turn (hotdog or hamburger). I'm a very picky eater for some reason and I don't think I'm going to change my diet anytime soon, but it's pissing me off. Both because of the fact I'm a picky eater, and also because that I probably won't be doing anything to change it. I'd always go for an easy out. Like, hypnosis. Someone could hypnotize me into eating foods not limited by my picky habits. That's just the way I am, and it sucks, but again I prolly won't be changing it anytime soon. It's nice and safe and secure. We are afraid of change, hissssss!

That would rock if someone could hypnotise me into only liking healthy foods. We have a nutritionist coming to my Taekwondo place next month. I know what they'll say, basically that everything I eat, I shouldn't!
