"Borrow it?" Connor tilted his head at Luka. "What do you mean?" He'd been pacing the floor waiting for her. Luka's gift hadn't exactly been wrap-able. Jimmy had assisted him in finding a good hiding place outside until the evening before, and now his mate's present was in the garage with her "baby". "Can it wait until you've opened yours?" he asked, trying not to fidget. He was eager to see how she liked it.

"Well, you can say that shopping for yours was entertaining," Curtis chuckled. "I didn't know it was possible for so much black clothing to be in one place, or on any one person." But now he was curious about his own gift. He began carefully removing the wrapping. It was heavy - what could it be? He smiled when at last the package was open and several books stared back at him.
"Thank you," he told her sincerely, leaning over to kiss her cheek. He chuckled. "I see that you even avoided the romance section for my sake."

"Sorry..." Kyle looked up at her with a small smile. "I know how to bring it back..." He leaned in and kissed her.
Kat laughed at him. "I know how much you just love your romance..."

Holly kissed him back for a few moments before pulling away. "Yeah, that'd do it. Do you think perhaps we should be getting back downstairs?"

Connor blinked at his package. It was moderately heavy (at least heavier than it looked), and made a faint sloshing noise when he took it from her. Very few things in the world would make that noise, so it either had to be cologne or alcohol. He prayed for the latter and tore into it, and then grinned.
"Do I have to share?" he asked, clutching the wonderful bottle of Scotch and giving her big, sad eyes.

"Little smart-aleck," Curtis chuckled as he gave Katra another kiss. "I'm eager to read them. But for now... how about some Christmas breakfast?"

"Oh, good plan!" Kat smiled and laughed. SHe had almost forgotten her hunger. SHe placed her presents out of the way before scooting closer to Curtis and gently turning his head to the side. Her eyes glittered in her usual hungry way before she bit down and drank deeply.
Kyle's eyes brightened. "I like it better when I have you all to myself..."

By now Curtis was quite accustomed to Katra's bites and so didn't so much as flinch when her teeth pierced his neck. Instead he side and relaxed under her touch. She was still fully vampire and hadn't shown too many signs of change, but come the full moon, he realized, she may never have need to feed from him again.

"Sounds like a plan," Connor smiled. "But in the meantime let's put this somewhere safe." He started towards their room. "Then we need to go visit your 'baby'. I hear that Santa visited the garage as well."
