Yakov kissed Jeff's forehead. "I'll be right back." He then quickly headed downstairs.

Holly pushed Kyle away, holding him so she was just out of reach of his lips. "Now don't get to excited. Is nearly dinner."

Jeff closed his eyes and wished himself asleep. Being awake was way too painful.
Kyle pouted," but I only want you for dinner..."

"Too bad you don't like it," Connor gasped jokingly between Luka's enthused kisses. He indulged and gave her a good, long one before pulling away and looking her in the eye. "Now, which gift d'ye suppose we should play with first? Mine or yours?"

"Mm. Merry Christmas, meine liebe," Curtis murmured as he buried his face in Katra's hair. They'd spent a long night together and the sun was just beginning to rise. Katra would be entering her deep sleep soon, and one or both of the twins would be awake soon. They'd be amazingly still though the night. Perhaps he could get a few winks in before they started wailing...

They were not the lucky. Christine woke with a fussy whine that woke Kimberly. Kat sat up slowly and stretched, "Don't worry, I've got them before sleep." She smiled at Curtis and made her way over the teh crib. She picked the girls up and cradled them with coos and smiles.

Luka smiled. "I suggest we take a nap, enjoy a little a Christmas dinner, have some of your present and then we thouroughly enjoy mine."

Curtis was worn out enough to not protest when Katra insisted upon caring for the twins herself. She'd thoroughly tired him, but it seemed that she had some hidden energy reserve to draw from. Watching her fuss over the twins was soothing, and before Curtis new it his eyelids were closing and staying that way.

"Beauty and brains," Connor chuckled. "It sounds like a plan I can work with." He took Luka's hand and marched back out the garage door, through the snow, and into the house.

Kat was slightly oblivious to Curtis new state. She continued to play with the girls until she was sure the only thing they wanted was food. She managed to make her way to the fridge and fill two bottles with both girls in her arms. She sat down next to the sleeping Curtis and held the girls in her legs while she fed them their bottles. Once they were full and ready to sleep again she set them down in the crib. As she went to the sink to wash out the bottles she noticed a crack of sunlight making it through the blinds in the kitchen. It shone upon her hand and she watched as her skin turned black. A little bit of black smoke was rising up from her hand.

Luka collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep almost instantly. Quite a few hours later, she pounced ontop of Connor. "Dinner!"

Connor gasped and grunted when Luka's weight and voice woke him up. He said up slowly and yawned.
"Where was this enthusiasm earlier?"

An odd smell entered Curtis' mind, and though it was mild it was still odd enough to draw him from his sleep. When his bleary eyes opened the scent became recognizable. Burning flesh. In an instant he was up and looking for his mate.
"Katra?!"

Kat snapped out of her sudden trance and looked over at Curtis. She raised her hand and showed him the burning skin. A smile crossed her lips. "Sun..." She was so happy she was almost crying.

Luka laughed. "It was waiting for a godly hour. Now come one." She grabbed him and pulled him down stairs.

Not to long after Yakov had left he reappeared with two plates. "Now, I know you're having trouble but you need to eat something."

Holly had attacked Kyle's face again but eventually managed to release him. "Alright, seriously, food."

Jeff sat up slowly and smiled at Yakov. He was being absolutly adorable. He nodded slightly and took the plate from him with shaky hands.
Kyle sighed and got up, "I guess you're right...."
