Jeff smiled, "Oh yes..." he lied right through his teeth. "You...can go...eat with...your family..." Jeff felt bad being the reason that yakov was forced to have dinner with him.
Kyle put on a fake smile on purpose. "Oh joy, being trounced upon by my girlfriends sex addicted family and have to fight for my life to get food, woooo!" He winked and laughed at her.

Jeff sighed softly. 'Stupid Yakov reading every little piece of body language I unknowingly throw at him...' were Jeff's thoughts as his picked at his food. He ate a little bit of his mashed potatoes and stirred the food around on his plate to make it look like he ate more than he did.
Kyle smiled for real. "Eh, its not like I will be here for much longer..."

Jeff looked up at Yakov surprised. "I'm not...sulking!" He all but coughed out before he doubled over in a hacking fit. He used the blanket to cover his mouth but when he pulled back and looked down at it, there was blood. He quickly flipped the end of the blanket so Yakov wouldn't see it. No need to worry him more than he already had.
Kyle just kept smiling, "I thought you said you were hungry young lady?..."

Yakov was up in a hurry. "Jeff! Damnit, are you okay?"

Jeff was still trying to hide the stupid blanket from Yakov even though he knew it was hopeless. "Fine...just fine...its nothing...I...promise..." Jeff smiled encouragingly at Yakov.
Kyle grabbed Holly's hand and started off down the stairs.

Yakov was starting to get rather annoyed. "Damnit Jeff, I'm a freaking werewolf. I can smell it. And I have a half a mind to drag you to a hospital."

Holly kind of just let herself be pulled along. She watched the boy in front of her sadly. In an extremely short time, he would be gone.

Jeff filed that under 'things to remember when trying to hide things from Yakov' in the back of his brain. He felt stupider than earlier. But the threat before him scared him more than anything else. "NO!...hospitals...never..." He flipped the end of the blanket to stare down at the blood. "Only a little...see?" he croaked through his sore throat.

Jeff thought about saying no, but couldn't stand to have Yakov mother him into it. He let out a soft sigh as he mumbled a yes.

Connor may have only been half awake when Luka tugged him out of the bed, but when the smell of the amazing Christmas dinner reached his nose his mind began to clear. By the time they reached the table he was almost ready to take the lead and start pulling Luka himself.
"It already looks amazing!"

'So that's what she's doing...' Curtis realized. He'd forgotten that she hadn't seen the sun in several months. It was on thing that he'd been taking for granted. He examined her hand carefully, but smiled along with her anyway. It was starting to heal, but not nearly as quickly as he wounds normally did.
"Looks like it'll be fine," he chuckled, and then kissed her forehead.

Kat caught herself before she tried to peek behind the curtain. If just a small ray could burn her, she would be incinerated by the blast of a whole window. She sighed and threw herself back onto the futon.
"So, this means I'm getting better right?"

Luka giggled. (She seemed to be doing a lot of that today.) "Calm down boy. I promise you get to eat it."

Yakov kissed Jeff on the forehead. "I won't bother him durning Christmas dinner." Yakov smiled in spite of the situation. "I won't have him interrupting our first Christmas either. We'll see how you're doing in the morning."
