That pained feeling returned, even as much as she wanted to fight it. Pulling at her, beating her down and making her feel so useless. Like the puppet in strings, fighting so hard. That face, so much like her own. And she could do nothing.
As she could do nothing as she watched Molan sacrifice himself for the group, a pained little cry reached her throat but she couldn't bring it out. She wanted to run to him, wanted to be angry at him for what he did but someone stepped in the way and brought him back while she could not.
OuO shot him an angry look for what he did and a very big pout while she went on to help one of the other boils. moon: 15 +16 = 31 It seems like the end. You have lost hope. You have lost everything. Everything seems small as you do. In the distance you see a figure moving and struggling with puppet strings and you realize it is you. It fights onwards, and you can only watch helplessly as it struggles.
All she felt was dread pulsing her forward, feeling it grab onto her breathing, onto her soul... The puppet she saw in the distance...? Herself. She couldn't help but feel the world slide out from her-- OCTO was drained. She was spent. But she kept going. She had to. So she grabbed her syringe and began to put it to good use.

The new boss is giant, overpowering. He knows in his soul that they'll never beat it. Why are they even trying? All this work has been for nothing. Someone's moving in the distance. Dreadpirate peers at it - another Gryphon? His first thought is Raze, but that's not the hat she wears. This one is more like his. The entire outfit is his. As the figure moves closer, he sees that it is, in fact, Dreadpirate himself. For once the marionette joints are obvious. Movements are jerky. And the strings... strings attached to all joints, pulling the Dreadpirate puppet wherever the unseen puppeteer wants. It struggles against the strings, but it's useless. He's about to drop his sword when a thought whispers through his mind, 'At least the puppet is fighting. What are you doing?He pauses. Watching the puppet isn't helping. Sure, it fights, but it's not getting anywhere. It still does exactly what the puppeteer commands it to do. Fighting is useless. 'Are you less than a puppet?' the same voice demands. 'Maybe fighting is useless, but at least it's trying. You'll just follow directions without even attempting to choose your own path, is that it?'No. No, that's not it. His fingers clench around the grip of his sword. It's still hopeless, he knows. But he'll try. He can at least match the efforts of a puppet.
