I just found that the august 04 letters are cheaper than the laurels, prolly due to the wanklets... ._.
Gah, so close!! So bloody close and damn that MP that doesn't accept items... I hate the exchange... >.<

I hate the exchange... >.< Yeah, I bought Horns last night from the MP (I paid 2.2mil cause I was just too lazy to exchange) and I didn't even realize the MP was selling the letter for 2mil flat. Lost 200k right there. xp But yeah Zed has hit the nail right on the head, MCs = best investment. I didn't check prices for stuff for along time, and I've bought a few MCs since I started with gold... last time I checked I had like a net value of 300k, now it's over 6mil from MCs alone. eek My question is this for you guys is, do you think if I just varied all the items I bought (investing in the ones that increase in value a lot, i.e. kiki, coco, katana, etc.) do you think I'd eventually catch up to something worth lets say a pair of NM / Angelic Minis?

Well, that really would depend on the speed of the inflation vs. the loss of gold through the taxing. The more you sell the item for, the more you're taxed at 2%.
Should those large items suddenly deflate for any reason, you stand to lose a lot more gold that is sunk into fewer, more expensive items compared to having it spaced out into several, smaller priced items. Also, lower priced items that are popular move a lot faster than the higher priced popular items.
It's a preference I suppose. You could take the safe route and take maybe a bit longer to get the needed gold buy going into lower cost items, or go for the risk of getting the money super fast by 'putting your eggs into one basket' and hitting high cost, popular items that tend to inflate rapidly.
Question would be: How much are you willing to risk your gold to reach your goal?

I think that if I just let everything sit right now with time, I'd eventually have enough to buy a pair since my items are pretty wide-spread I've got a solid chance of making some gold. Bought the letter for 1,8mln, that really is a lot for me... XD I noticed a seller on the MP who was selling for 2mln, he said in his shop that he was willing to haggle or whatever, so PMed him... XD
He was questing bunnies and wanted to help out questers... So, got a discount! :3 Nice guy. ^.^

Laurels probably, that is what she was questing for.
If you are looking for mini's, that is going to be tough. It is getting rare now that anyone will sell them at a reasonable price unless you have some high end items to put in the trade, like a DT or an OMG, etc.

1.8 million? Yow! Good thing I don't aim for anything quite that high, I don't think I'd ever get a hold of it!
I've been prodding the marketplace still a bit. I got lucky and scored a small profit on a couple Gauntlets and a whip. I used it to buy something, I forget what. Chain of Command I think.
I've been monitoring what Horn & Ivory has. Prices have gone up some, but not enough to make selling a viable option just yet. Patience is paying off though as prices are slowing going up again.
Just have to hold out a while longer, I think. But it should pay out in the end.

I have the Ice Gauntlets up for sale and the Goti Clips. With any luck they should sell fairly soon! Still stuck with the Yeti and the Whip of Fire for the moment, but prices are getting up to make a profit. I just made 16,000 on the Mythica mrgreen

I like those whips. There is nothing really like them. I forgot about the H&I account. I never remember it, or what it is for. I think I made it to give out gifts or something. But it is beyond that now.

I like the Whips too. I have one of each. I originally bought them to do my own vending, but I ended up keeping them, heheh.
I didn't forget about the H&I account! I've been keeping tabs on the prices of the items in my own account and bob in once in a while when prices are right to set up the vending.
And I guess it did go a bit beyond using to give out gifts eh? H&I is the Gates little money machine. Well, not so much at the moment but she's still working up coin when things sell mrgreen
