Hmm, tiny finger cymbals.... I believe that they're called finger cymbals. The casstinets are the term used in Spain, and I think they're bigger too. And the finger cymbals for belly dancing sounds different than the casstinets. I know cause I have a couple pairs, though the elastic cuts off the circulation to my fingers. rofl

castanets are the clam shaped instruments used to make that cool clicking sound you here in flamenco music... they are not cymbals. just a percussion instrument... traditionally, they be used by the female... not being sexist but rly... think about a guy using a set of those and you laugh till you pee your pants...
