Everything your father told you was true and as for the characters in the story....That was your grant grandfather and his brother. Those rare and magical gems are real, that was the cause of the incident earlier tonight. So that magical castle that you boys always wanted to adventure to was your own home."

 Ric's elfen Ears perked at his mother's words, "What? But... but I thought it was just a story. It was real all this time? Then maybe... maybe we can use it to help father, to heal him."

Grant had stayed silent wile the two spoke, that is, until Ric mentioned using the power. Grant's ears shot back as he spoke up in a stern tone. "No, we musette! Power of that magnitude is not stable. I've heard of powers that have consumed their controllers. And using that power without the knowledge of what it is capable of can have catastrophic and undesirable effects. As he spoke he had Agressively moved between the queen and the prince and removed the book from Ric's hands. "I must insist that this book be locked away is a safe location unknown to the royal family if not me as well and guarded by my best men. If not that then the book should be destroyed less it fall into the wrong hands."

"Obviously you have not been paying attention, the book only says the stone lies beneath the castle, it goes no farther. If my great grandfather were so protective of the stone that he would have an entire castle built then he would not left behind such a record unless there was a reason," The Prince reasoned, "Besides, I have heard the tale countless times, it would be far to late to lock it away."

Grant looked into Ric's eyes. "No one should know of its existence." No one knows where it is i hope." Grant said as his eyes shifted to the queen. "Something like this should be forgotten. Anyone who knows of it mite try to use it. Maybe not for evil..." Grants eyes shifted back to Ric. "...but for ill guided good."

"And this is why nobody has heard of this." The Queen gently took the book from Grant. "Ric is right, nobody has hear of this in centuries. Even if someone knew about the book, won't they have searched for it in the most succoured place. By hiding it with other fairytales, the book has been kept a secret for many generations." She turn to Ric with a sympathetic face. "But Grant does have a point. That's why we haven't used it on your father. There has been test of the stones usage in healing....the results are not favorable. What we do know is that the gems power is what makes the land so flouriest and beautiful. Though it does enhance ones abilities if used correctly." Vandraya let out deep sigh, "I'm sorry, but this is something else I've been hiding from you. Long ago you boys were playing a game of tag outside. I don't know how, but you found a way down to the deepest caverns below the castle. That's when you boys found those gems I've told you about. You and Cyrith quickly took some and made your way back up. Zireno didn't because he felt that it wasn't his to take. When you boys finally got out, you showed them to me and your father." By now, tears were beginning to form in the Queen's eyes. "We didn't know what to do. Those gems were too dangerous for you boys and we didn't want you to going back down there again until you were ready. So I...so...I" The tears began to roll down her face. "So I had to wipe your memory of the incident. It was just those 2 hours you boys where gone. But...I never wanted to do it. We were afraid you would go back down. That's why you boys have such great abilities. You only had the ability to numb people. But now you can make force fields." Vandraya turn away and place the book back on the bookcase. "So now you know....I understand if you hate me for that. I don't blame you."[You can remember that childhood memory if you want.]

(I didn't quite see that coming... I figured elfs...magic...whatever. SO does this make the Queen mortal?)
Ric simply stared blankly for some while. It was true, he did not remember the event, but did that mean that his mother was lying, or telling the truth? He remembered finding his powers when his brothers were in danger, but was it possible that that too was make believe, or had this power simply laid dormant until he had needed it? Was this why Zireno was powerless, why he had grown so arrogant and hateful?
More thoughts came rushing through his mind but for the moment, Rics attention turned to his mother. Even if she had taken away his memories, it was obvious that she was still in mourning, and it was his duty to cheer her up, "I do not believe you. There is no way that Zireno ever played tag."

[Think this way. You guys always had that power, the gems just gave you two an upgrade.] The Queen dried her eyes and turn to him. "Whether you want to believe me or not, Zireno was kinder back then. It was the results of the memory wipe that changed him. The memory wipe has a different effect towards younger targets. I believe that deep down in the back of his mind, he still knows how you and Cyrith excel in your powers. And he wants his chance. Thus making him thirst for more power." She looked Ric in the eyes. "This will be the most difficult task I could ever ask of you. But it's important that you do so....Ric....you to Grant....I must ask the both of you to not breath a word of this to anyone. Especially your brothers. They are still not ready to hear such news. Also, you must find out how the gems reacted as they did. This has never happen before. Which means even stranger events will happen in the near future."

Grant was quick to pull out his handkerchief and handed it to the queen. "It's ok your majesty." Grant looked around the room. "So what's next? We can't just let these strange happenings continue. People will become suspicious."

The Prince was about to propose a solution when a sudden yawn came over him. "Well for now, I believe we should head to bed. It is quite late and there shall be plenty of time to worry over these affairs in the morning."

Vandraya gracefully accepted Grant's handkerchief. "Thank you Grant." She wipe the tears from her eyes and hand the cloth back to him. "Quit right. We should sleep on it for now and continue tomorrow." The Queen thought for a moment. "Though if your father wasn't so ill, he'd jump at a chance of an adventure. 'Life was worth living, and I'm going to live it up.' He would always say that." She held up a hand to cover her yawn. "Oh, here I am reminiscing again when we should get some sleep." She began walking towards the entrance of the library.

"agreed." Grant said with a nod. That's when something came though his mind. I wounder what has become of Jewlet. I haven's seen her since the beginning up tonight events. Grant's eyes widened a bit "Uhh, if that is all than I will be off." Grant started walking towards the door I hope she is ok. There seems have been events happening all over the castle. I have to find her and make sure nothing has happened to her.

Thatnight, the Prince went to sleep with a heavy heart as he forced his mother's betrayal from his mind.
(my characters are all sleeping now ^^ oh btw, I will probably not be on most of Friday, saturday and Sunday. I'm going to Katsucon as Squall ^^)

"Yes, you are excused Grant." As they left the Queen want to say goodnight to Ric, but didn't. It was as if the wall between them seem to thicken. She return to the kings bedroom where the knights were still guarding. The moved away from the door so that she could pass. Vandraya went up to the kings bed and knelt to him. "I've told Ric everything, just as you asked. You think we're doing the right thing." The kings hand weakly laid on top of her hand. She let out a sigh, "Right. I'll be strong. May your sleep be restful." She gently kiss his hand and departed to her room.[I've only made their room separate only because the king is ill. Normally they would stay in the same room. That it for me tonight, I'll be back on tomorrow. Btw, can you guys pm me on what you think of the rp so far. Any suggestions, comments, and ideas would be helpful. See ya. That's fine.....wah, I wish I could go to Katsucon crying . I'm not even sure if I can make it to Otakon.]
