 Noah was sort of sweating, not a lot but more so than usual. There was no doubt the Mero mero was a powerful fruit. He was losing his cool, which wasn't good, if Kale noticed who knows how she might used that to her advantage. If he wasn't careful he might start emitting poison.
He wiped his forehead with one hand and returned it to his original position. Not saying a word.

Kale felt Noah's movement and looked up at him. He seemed a little sweaty. "Are you okay?" She questioned, reaching up and touching his forehead with the back of her hand. "You're warm." She looked worried. "Are you ill?" She questioned him.

His breathing most likely got a little heavier because he could no longer control it. He needed to distract himself in some manner, but mentally he wasn't powerful enough.
He cleared his through, with a slight sort of cough, "Can't you see, I'm sleeping!" he shouted. By no means was he actually angry at this point, the Mero Mero had its grip on him and he had to continue to act like himself in order to keep cool.

Kale looked to him, and frowned. She pouted a bit and shook her head. "Fine." She replied and crawled away from him.

Noah heard a faint yell in the distance sounding as though it came from Loguetown. He matched the voice, with Ben's although he could of been wrong. Realizing that Ben was most likely in trouble he had to distract Kale.
He quickly grabbed her by the arm sort of threateningly and tried to pull her closer to him, "Don't be bitter; just tired is all."

Kale looked to him, having heard the yell. She paused a moment, but then didn't hear anything else. She allowed herself to be pulled back to Noah. She sighed softly, and cuddled back up to him. "Fine. Go to sleep." She muttered, her tone was angry though. She was still hurt.

Noticing her tone he still shut his eyes but began to speak to her, her clutched her head with his hand, in the process covering her ear slightly, so that her hearing would be off a bit. She'd be able to hear Noah but probably not distant shouts.
"You don't sound tired. Are you sure you want me to doze off?" he asked. Under normal circumstances he didn't care what she wanted but the combination of the Mero mero and the fact that he could really benefit from this drove him.

Kale shrugged a bit. "No, I'm not -- but if you want to go to sleep, go ahead." She replied seriously, sighing softly. She wondered what that noise from before was, and then she remembered seeing Cindy. She frowned, she hoped that wasn't it. She really didn't need Captain Ben getting captured.

Noah didn't talk for a moment. He had decided to forget about trying to control himself in the presence of the Mero Mero abilities, "What's wrong with you?" he asked. He noticed something was off with Kale, maybe she had heard the shout as well.

Kale sat up and looked at him. "I thought I heard something." She replied. "It sounded like Ben, and ...I saw Cindy earlier..." She frowned. "What if they are fighting."

He placed his finger over her mouth, realizing he had to do something before she wanted to go and help out.
"Kale, relax; do you even think Ben would want you to help him?" he asked remembering that Kale was never really respected by her crew mates from a fighting perspective.
"I still ******** hate you by the way." he said trying not to get too comfortable.

Kale looked to his finger, and blinked. Kale then frowned a bit at what he was saying. He couldn't be right. "But she's a Marine." She whispered. "What if he gets caught. What about seastone." She whimpered.
She looked to him, and then frowned a bit. "You're so mean." She replied pulling away from him, and sitting on the other side of her boat, unhappily. "I hate you too." She replied.

"Stop. I'm not mean. People like us, are supposed to hate each other..." he sat up and stared at her for a moment. "Why'd you get that fruit anyway..." he smirked, "it's probably because no one respects you on the battlefield; you probably figured they might as well respect you in the bed right? Typical, so typical of a b***h like you." he was getting ahead of himself to an extent. He was still feeling attraction towards Kale as he like anyone else was affected by the Mero Mero. However he was fighting it. He didn't like to be forced into loving someone.
"I told you, one day there will be a time when Ben isn't going to be able to protect you. Maybe today's that time. What's the point in trying to help Ben? A parasite needs their host to be strong, so he's useless to a parasite like you." he said laughing.

Kale looked to him, and listened to him speak and glared thoughtfully. She didn't say anything, instead sighed a bit. "Right." She finally replied. She got up, standing there a moment and said. "I should have let you die." She replied carefully. Then, she repeated his action from earlier. However, she didn't miss. She landed gracefully in his boat. She pushed, it away and leapt onto the port, not tying it. She frowned and stretched.
She was washing her hands of Noah right now. She couldn't believe she liked that p***k. She shook her head. Parasite, what an a**. She clentched her fingers tightly, to stop from crying.

"Finally some peace and quiet" he whispered. He figured he had kept Kale from Ben long enough. He had probably already taken a beating. The fact that Kale hated him now, sort of set him at ease. He was lucky to have rid himself from Kale before he became her victim permanently. He might trail after he to ensure Ben was dead or captured in a few minutes.
