Reaper Elyse Well most of my guys are neutral or rather just very loyal to their country or guild. Though I get what you mean. though I did make Osylla more over a evil kind of neutral since she's more likely to shot someones face of with little provocation. My bigger names are Good, but that's sorta relative to what's happening. ast but not least in neutral. Though as Tani just said I think they've got some major villains in the works. Also I don't think people who really are truly evil appear as often as some may think. I'd say most people are neutral and just lean a bit more to one side or the other. Though I'd guess some races are pretty evil by nature. Actualy point taken. People do tend to be neutral then lean to one side or the other. No Matter. I am hoping to bring a desent saga to termina with VarTamo.

Not true being goods as fun as being evil because if you've got some awesome evil guy to fight it gets pretty interesting to try and pull out the "W".

Pardon me if I'm not up to speed on some lingo, but your gonna have to explain that one. And I have to disagree, when you are good you have restrictions. You can't shoot an innocent through the heart to get to your enemy and you can't murder anyone (even if it is your arch-enemy). If you do your considered 'nuetral' which is not good. On the other hand evil, well the world is yours to destroy. You can kill your enemies and you can steal candy from babies. You get respect through fear (if you are strong enough to command it) and even those who hate you and wish to defeat you will gawk at your might. The only requirement for being evil is you need to be selfish, ruthless, cunning, and powerful. If you don't have any of those attributes you can't be considered evil.This is my strong opinion. ((Note: There are levels of being 'bad', evil is the highest I believe. If not then please tell me otherwise.))

I might be going down a little rabbit trail here, but I don't think pure "evil" is realistic.
People don't just think, "I'm going to take over the world because it is an evil thing to do and I like evil." People think, "I'm going to take over the world because I will be powerful." or something to that effect. Pursuit of power is a common theme here, thus the phrase "power corrupts".
People become evil in pursuit of their goals. Villains believe what they are doing is the correct path, and while this can be distorted by a serious lack of connection to reality, people don't just do things because they are good or because they are evil. They do things that suit their goals.
It goes backwards for good too. I don't think anyone really does things with all their heart because they are "good" to do. Maybe they are trying to please someone else, or to earn someone's trust.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, people do what suits them.
In addition, what you said about being good having restrictions- what if someone believed that shooting their enemy furthered the cause of "good", i.e., destroying a threat to the greater welfare of people.
Intent is an important thing, I think.

Silver brings up a good point, that things are all about perspective. I don't think many "villians" go around saying ,"I'm evil! Look at me I'm evil!!" It's all a mater of circumstance and choice that makes them take their path. If their just doing it full well knowing that they shouldn't nd also feeling the moral guilt with it and still carrying on with out any gain. Well that's closer to a true evil than those who seek something out of it. It's committing horrible acts with out purpose or even benefit. Which I think is something that's roughly humanly impossible. Also s silver said again perspective may change what constitutes whats good. Mostly it's what ever the current prevailing moral standards people hold which makes this up. Few hundred years ago rape and ***** weren't as "frowned upon" as the are now.

I think the closest most people come to exploring how good and evil works, and how it's rather subjective, is playing Fable/Fable 2. rofl You can maintain a good alignment even if you steal everything you can, and even kill a few villagers for whatever reason. I mean, it makes sense. The Hero is more likely to be known for the bigger "good" deeds, so the general population view them as good. Same with evil characters. You can escort someone through the dangerous forest, but you'll probably be viewed as an evil b*****d ever since you massacred everyone in that farm. You'll be known for whatever deeds are made public, so you're free to do whatever you want as long as it's secret (secrecy intentional or not).
