"Ling, this fight does not have to go on," he insisted sternly. It had taken him awhile before speaking. He had taking quite a few good blows to the chest and stomach, and his breath had been well out of him. He had been lucky nothing had been broken with the kicks.

"I will not back down Shaitani..." He stood there, proud, his chest out, blood running down his body from his neck and the gashes on his sides. He glanced at the cave from the corner of his eye, his pride...HIS pride. "I fight for them Shaitani..."

Silence fell between them a moment. "I understand that," he finally said, breaking it like glass, "However, while you fight for them, that is all you are fighting for, is it not? What is your motive behind fighting for them? Protection? From what? It is not as if I am going to go on a rampage inside your cave should I defeat you. That is what I fail to understand."

Leanna's eyes watched the combantants without any flinch to them. She kept up with their movements and keeping extremely silent. She kept Blaze and Meribelle close to her, but never looked at them. All her senses were in tune on the fight. Leanna's thoughts slowly went over to Kun Yi wondering how the lioness was fairing. What pain this must be for her to watch her love in this bloody brawl! The magenta lioness stifled a sigh as her tail slightly twitched. As Shaitani had said earlier, fate had brought them all here together in one way or another. For what reason was still unclear to the middle-aged lioness...

"I hope i won't either...i plan to become a pride brother perhaps, so that i won't have to fight king ling to leave" he said looking down at his paws for a moment then looking back at Nola "i will protect this pride with king ling, even if it costs me my own life!" he said a new courage showing in his eyes

"I fight to...show my control, Shaitani. To back down, to let you go without so much as a fight would show weakness to the other prides, they would....try and take over..." He sighed and took deep breaths, his mind was spinning, and talk was very out of place at this moment. "fight or back down.." He lunged forward then, swiping at the side of Shaitaini's face with paw, his claws retracted.
(Stubborn Ling? Hecks yes...)

Shaitani hardly felt the paw hit his face, seeing as it had gone slightly numb from the gashes Ling had made before. He knew it had connected, though, since the force threw his face to the side. "And if you lose? what will other prides think then?" He lunged at Ling, teeth bared, but only aimed beats at him with clawless forepaws, as he had done to Shaitani moments ago.

Rather than respond, the male countered. He twisted his body to the side to avoid the bite, but took a strong blow to the side of his face. He growled then, shaking off the after effects of the hit before answering. "They will know hat I am not one to anger..." He leapt at Shaitani's neck, his teeth bared.

Shaitani raised a clawed paw up, sending it in a switf smack-direction to beat the king's bite from his face, "And if I kill you?" His voice grew cold here, as if daring Ling to say that he did not have the guts or something along those lines.

Xia had woken up when her mate had left the cave they shared andd watched everything surpass with a heavy heart and the lioness was scared for Ling's life and whispered a silent prayer that he make it alive though she had no doubts that he would win. She lay on her stomach and watched, blocking the cubs from seeing the fight. She glared at Shaitani as he said that he would kill him, daggers forming in her eyes, at least hoping to spook him. Stupid lion, what did he know?! She growled to herself.

The King was knocked to the side, staggering on his feet for only a moment before gathering his composure. "You would not kill me Shaitani..." He stood there, stading tall, his body stiff, firm in front of the younger adult male. Even colored in blood the dark and light of his fur made him look the regal figure, his dark eyes slightly golden with the rays of the morning sun.

Shaitani's expression turned wild, eyes having a strange ferality lighting in them. His teeth shone brightly against his dark face. "Shall we test it, then?" He said, lunging at the king sharply, claws drawn.

Ling sighed and shook his head, side stepping the other male, turning abruptly and slashing a clawed paw against' Shaitani's hide quarters. "You give in to taunting Shaitani...That makes you weak." The king went low, snapping at Shaitani's hind legs, his jaws clamping down hard enough to stap the limb in two.

Shaitani yowled, twisting around at his waist, snapping with his jaws and slashing with his claws. Roaring, he kicked at the king's head with his free hind leg, claws fully drawn.

The king released the leg, slapping the other away with his paw befoer rolling behind the other. He righted his body and instantly rushed the other, his teeth bared and claws unsheathed.
