Matt the girl They're the old ones (unless I'm going mad/blind) It's hard to tell at that angle, my opinion. I reckon they're the old ones, because you're prolly more in-the-know, plus their heads don't seem very...modern Tyranid...

Ninja_Warrior2 wat is a good battle tatic for fighting against massvie tanks or fighting against the inquistion and there deadly grey knights. i found one way around around there shrouding by using nightfight Genestealers still get rending, right? Doesn't a brood lord with stealers have the ability to infiltrate? That'd take care of a tank. AND grey knights. Remember, Grey knights make you test if you can see them. If you're within 6 inches (for charging), it's unlikely that you'll fail to assault.

Enemy armor has always been a real issue for tyranid players, and your best route (in my humble opinion) will always be Zoanthropes and cheap carnifex's with guns. Rending is one way to do it, but you really need to have friendly dice for it to work a lot of the time.

My Tyranids only actually have one battle plan, but that's hardly surprising when your army consists mainly of Genestealers.
10 Stealers lead by a Broodlord massacres almost anything, I managed to kill my friends Baneblade with 10 genestealers; rending works really well in large numbers.
However I am now branching out into a more ballanced army with Zoanthropes, and of course 4 Carnifexs, 1 cheap shooty fex, 2 screamer killers, and 1 all-rounder (Crushing claws and Barbed strangler)
I have had a great deal of sucess with my army, but it either has glorious victorys, or crushing defeats.

Probably cause you're relying on the rending so heavily, but good for you. I love stealer based armies, it's what I'd play if I played nids.

I was told that a dark green body with blood red highlights and such would look to much like orks. Anyone else of the same opinion?

it would depend on how you did the red...
mine are black bodies w/ bright (unable to remember exact names) yellow, orange, and blood red in slightly varing order, and a bright green for all tongues and posinous parts.
my army is run up and get close fast while suported by Zoanthropes and Biovores and the occasional shootie gaunt. works well. fly in (NOT gargoyles, to weak...) and eat em up ninja . can the Emperor protect you in a Hive Tyrants tummy? domokun
