Appearance: Croofor’s name suits his style very well, rough and rugged. Like most of his tribe, he dresses warmly, but in the cured hides of his most recent hunts. His footwear is nonexistent, preferring to feel the earth beneath his feet and the grass between his toes. He favors the hide of grizzlies since it’s the mark of a strong hunter, but it’s also enough to hide his stocky build. He stands at about six feet and weighs around 250lbs. He’s built like a bull with muscles heavy around his shoulders, arms and legs, but has small cauldron for a belly. His skin, a dark bronze, is often grass stained or covered with a layer of dirt. Its tone lightens during the winter seasons. His head is matted with his long black unkempt hair. Its length reaches his back, covers his face and shoulders, almost like a lion’s mane. Unlike his head, the rest of his body seems to be void of hair. He’s got deep brown eyes, a wide and thick nose, and ever-blushing cheeks. He has youthful face which still retains a sense of innocence to this savage.
Personality: His appearance may startle most people, but the aura around him is as calm as a winnowing stream. Croofor has adapted the mannerism of a good hunter and carries this through out his life. He only speaks and acts when needed to. His patience is remarkable, having been known to stalk game for weeks, waiting for the most opportune times to strike. With his silences comes his vigilant, bordering paranoid, sense of awareness. His great ability to sense the world around also makes him very curious, but hides this from most people.
History: Croofor is a member of the Demere tribe. He comes from a family of hunters and warriors, renowned for their skills in shape-shifting and even more so in shape-shifting into the fiercest of mammalian creatures. He grew up with many “brothers” and “sisters” who were made up of his siblings, his cousins and their canine companions. They were raised communally by the family as a whole. Besides allowing him to have a pretty decent childhood playing, this method allowed the family to check who would be fit what job and also instills them a sense of community. He luckily was chosen and trained to be a hunter. He’s often dubbed as the runt of the litter, not because of his size, but because of the hulk which is his canine sibling, Balto.
The duo has served their family and their tribe well for years as hunters, and they have been serving as warriors as well. Like many others, they’ve joined the ranks to fend off Feretris invaders and even participated in small skirmishes to hamper their efforts in taking their land. Croofor found that their efforts were too small to affect the invasion as a whole. With the blessing of the family, they’ve left to look for another way…
