I'm finally working toward getting my inherited vintage machine up and running smoothly!
A little locally-owned craft shop opened not too long ago near me, and I finally decided to walk to it and ask after sewing machine oil. Which they had and I could afford, so I bought some!
Just need to buy new needles when I have a few more dollars to spare and I should be good to go after I give it a good cleaning and oiling. Just have to hope I won't have any wiring issues that need to be fixed. It's an old Montgomery Ward from about 1956 or so from what my research has turned up, one of many Singer-clones from that time; it's an all metal machine, so any wiring problems could be... shockingly painful, in the most literal sense. It's nothing fancy, just a simple straight stitch machine, but it's kind of my baby and I've been meaning to give it proper maintenance for ages, so I am rather excited to finally have oil for it.

DId you see the current site announcement? The jigsaw game is finally up and running again! It is definitely a better improvement than the old version. ^_^*

It is definitely a better improvement than the old version. ^_^* I just read about it when I got on today! I was so excited when I saw, I immediately went to play it. I've been looking forward to it being made available again since it was mentioned in whichever monthly update, and it has not disappointed. Really love being able to customize the background color, don't have to kill my eyes and can still have it contrast the puzzle pieces. I'd love for the shuffle function to be tweaked, I don't really want it grabbing any loose piece I've pulled out back in with all the others, but I don't know how complicated it would be to do that, so I'll just live with it since old jigsaws functioned the same way. The rewards are so generous, too! I got 80k from that first puzzle I did; I think the "daily rewards" or whatever they're called were rolled in with it, but I was only expecting 10k to 15k, so it was a pleasant surprise.

I agree on the chat, it always distracted me in the old Jigsaws. I just wanted to put a puzzle together, not be pulled into social interactions. I think the gold/plat earning rate in Jigsaws is better than LK, at least for me. I'm only playing the 300 piece "insane" difficulty, which gives 20k plat per finished puzzle plus the additional 40k plat when the daily goal bar is filled; I don't know what the rewards look like for the smaller puzzles. I have no idea what the earning cap is, either, because I have yet to hit it - two puzzles and 80k per day are enough for me.
As for ally potions, do you vote daily in Runway? The tenth day reward is still a chirpette bundle which has 10 ally pots in it. The drop rate in-game is still frustratingly low, but if you have a tree-killer you might trying farming stage four or five of the wilds, I get lucky fighting trees on occasion.
zOMG! should have a standalone player, if you'd rather that over the few browser alternatives that can still run Flash. There are instructions for it on the games page. I never really got into zOMG! even back when it was popular, and I still don't play now, so I don't know how the app works or anything, unfortunately. cat_sweatdrop
I'd love to get more items off my wishlist, but I've already bought everything that had reasonable listings. I even splurged yesterday and shelled out 265k plat for a Gaiajinka-chan, but that was the the only thing with a listing I was willing to buy. Unlisted items seem to be the bane of every wishlist. I hope you'll be able to find and buy some of the things you want!
