I do like how Digimon, the people seemed to have problems, like some of them got into fights and Matt and TK's dad and mom got devorced and Izzy was adopted.
Ash is all like "I'M A POKEMON TRAINER! LET'S BATTLE!" It's like he's perfect or somethin'.

He's not perfect. The kid's learning.
However...
That would work as a premise if characters evolved. And I'm not talking about digievolution or pokemon evolution. See, Pokemon is pretty much like The Simpsons. Ash from ten years ago is the same as Ash today. He still falls into the same traps, makes the same errors in battle, and is still not aware that (girl of the month) is tagging along not for her bike, but to get in his pants.
Brock is still romantically suicidal, with the same bad luck with women.
(Girl of the month) still chases after Ash for a long time, even though he only sees her as a "female trainer" and not a "girl."
And Pikachu still godmods out of most battles.
Whereas, in Digimon, even the most void and empty characters *cough*Sora*cough* tend to have a lot of backstory and change as the series go. And they do that in fifty episodes, while Pokemon's been the same for a thousand.

I liked the first two seasons of digimon, that was it. #3 was okay, #4 was watchable, and I didn't even bother with season 5....

I really liked the first two seasons, I didn't like three. since it was more as if it 1 + 2 was a tv show and the whole thing I acctually a game also that its based more in the real world rether than the digital world. And I didn't even know that there was a 4 +5... sweatdrop lol

i love digimon all the seasons are very cool but i have to say the forth one is just my personal favorite...^_^ espeically the twins...they are just so kawaii. xd

They just couldn't come up with good ideas anymore. So they just put in whatever came to mind first. Like they do now with Pokemon and Power Rangers. >.>'
