Vrätoth knew that for an instant there, he had her confused and noted that her action had been slightly less graceful as she had spun in anger at the new challenge. If he could keep this up, then his chances were greatly improved. He flew alongside the queen with a new found burst of speed and contemplated his next action.

OoC|| You can go ahead and catch her, if you like. It's really not something I can do, seeing as the bronze catches the gold and not vice versa.
BiC|| Umbrielth hissed at Vrätoth and brought her wings up and back down in a powerful stroke that sent her surging slightly ahead of the bronze. Far below, Eisel snarled and swung her head from side to side, blindly responding to what was taking place with her dragon partner.

Vrätoth knew it was over when he managed to overtake the gold dragon. He tipped his wing out and caught hers on it. Quickly snapping his other wings down, he had the queen snared.

Umbrielth/Eisel shrieked, the same cry of outrage echoing around the chambers where Eisel herself resided. The golden dragoness tried to flap her wings, but only became more entangled. Her dive turned into an unchecked fall as she lost the ability to guide herself. Eisel flung her head up to glare around the room, searching for the rider of the bronze that had caught her Umbrielth. How dare he?! Then, as gold met bronze in the air, a wave of emotion broadcasted by the telepathic link of dragonkind swept out and down from the pair, washing over the entire Weyr. It reached Eisel as she was hurling herself at Z'Arian and she hit him with a mixture of passion and rage. She cried out as she clutched at his tunic, her fingers curling and uncurling as confusion mixed with strong emotions overtook her.

Z'Arian had to take a step back with one foot to steady himself when the gold rider clashed with him. The feelings of pride, smugness and passion enveloped him as his dragon flew intertwined with Umbrielth. He felt Eisel clinging on his tunic, and could only wonder what his life would be like now. He thoughts were hampered however, by the constant stream of emotion from the dragons above.

OoC|| ... ... ... TIME JUMP.
BiC|| "Ouch..." Eisel muttered as her fingers touched a bruise on her knee. She must have bumped it on the stairs last night. She sighed as she immersed herself in the soothingly hot water of the bath, and tugged open the drawstring of a pouch on the rock ledge. She poured out a handful of sweetsand and began scouring every inch of her skin with determined rigor. Her thoughts wandered back to last night and she blushed, scrubbing harder to distract herself. She submerged completely underwater and ran her fingers through her hair, getting out the last of the soft sweetsand mud. She resurfaced with a quiet splash, flinging her hair back out of the way. Why do you wash so often? Umbrielth interjected suddenly. Some of us don't like smelling like dragon, dearling, Eisel replied wryly. She donned a simple tunic and riding breeches, cinching her belt snugly about her waist. Flinging back the curtain that hid the bathing pool, she stalked back into the weyr, steeling herself for confrontation.

Z'Arian looked up from unbuckling his boots as Eisel came back into view. He couldn't help but let a small smile creep across his face as he wisked his hair back over his shoulder. "Morning!" He had been up for a while and already grabbed a bite to eat. He was in the process of switching to his lighter boots when she appeared.

Eisel stopped short and colored slightly, then hurried past him to a large chest along the wall. She dropped the pouch of sweetsand next to the chest and dug out her gloves and boots. She strode quickly back to the bed and sat on the edge next to him, murmuring a barely audible "hullo" as she tugged on her boots, determinedly keeping her blush down. She pushed a wisp of hair behind her ear and sat up, feeling awkward. What now? She didn't want to alienate him by being cold, but...she forced her flush down again by breathing deeply through her nose.

Lintana swung into the room with her records and ink. She looked flustered. She had been up since sunrise quite a few hours ago. She had first checked on the brown rider who was now unconsious in a medical bed. She forgot all formalities. "So, I'm asuming you want your weyr moved to be the one attatched to Eisels? I have some of the women moving your stuff already. I made sure that it is still close enough for Saterth and I since you will be acting as weyrleader till Saterth rises, which seems to be soon so don't worry. "She pointed to Z'Arian. "I am going to need to change my records again." She sighed and looked over at Esiel. "I've got the new herdsman settled in. He seems happy enough to attend the few beasts we have. I'm thinking of sending to the hold to see if they have any to spare."

Her second boot only half on, Eisel froze as Lintana swept in with a flurry of words and hand gestures that made her mouth drop open slightly. Whatever Lintana was saying was going right over her head. She caught the phrase about Z'Arian being weyrleader and where he was staying, though, and glanced at him to await his answer. Was he actually going to stay with her? She'd expected he would just consider his job done and move on...
OoC|| Eisel's got a bit of a confidence problem, despite her skill in so many areas...excuse her incredulity.

Z'Arian looked at Lintana. He was just digesting the words she had said about wereleardership. That is not what he was expecting this early. what do you think about that? All he felt back from his dragon was a feeling that showed no thought. being lazy Vrätoth? he thought to himself. He stood and somehow found the right words. "Yeah, thanks for getting my things moved, saves me a lot of time." He went a belted his sword on, then turned back to Lintana. "Anything I need to do immediately?"

"I need you, "she nodded to Z'Arian," to check with the rest of weyr, make an announcment or something. They do need to know with an official word. Most every rider is gathered up in the dinning hall. and I need you,"this time she motioned at Esiel, "to check with the herdsman about the lack of beasts. But before I need both of you to check on your dragons. I have to rearange records and check on N'lor unless one of you want to help me." Lintana smiled and opened a record with the diagram of the weyr. She took out the ink pen and wrote Z'Arian and his dragons name onto the weyr inbetween Esiels and Lintanas.

Z'Arian turned to Esiel who still sat on the bed and beckoned for her to follow. "let's go see about the dragons." He held out his hand to help her up.

Eisel ducked her head and pulled her boot on the rest of the way. Perhaps distraction through constant work was a good way of handling the uneasiness and unfamiliarity she still felt toward Z'Arian, despite...she pushed the thought away. She pulled on her gloves and stood up, tucking that ornery wisp of hair back behind her ear again. "They're probably together..." she murmured to herself, tipping her head to Lintana as she past the Weyrwoman. She moved out to the large ledge outside her weyr, to find Umbrielth soaking up the sun like nothing had happened. All right, dearheart?, she asked with an affectionate smile. Umbrielth lifted her head to regard her rider with a mischievious orange gaze. Are YOU all right?, she replied teasingly. Eisel smacked the queen's foreleg playfully and climbed up to her back, inching her way up the long neck so she could scratch the gold's eyeridge as she had when they were both younger.

Z'Arian walked out behind her and not surprisingly found Vrätoth perched near the queen. The dragon saw him coming and straightened himself up a bit. "No need to look imperial, it's just me." Z'Arian grinned at his dragons attempt to look mighty. I see your ok then? Z'Arian went and leaned against the dragons scaly leg and waited for Lintana to come hustle him off to some job.
