Laughing a little as Taeliff ran off, Nadine turned to Ash. "See, i told you they couldn't put up with me long. I think it has something to do with my overwhelming self confidence and boar headed stubborness." Licking his nose, she turned toward the direction of where the lion had just ran out. "I mean, i see his point.... his desperation even. We've all been through moments of absolutely wanting or needing that family atmosphere. But i think maybe we did the right decision? Had he just stayed and gotten to know us a bit more it may have been different. Who's to say." Pausing for a moment, she looked over at the two she lions, then at the carcass he had brought as a peace offering. "He may be back yet however. I would hate to see his dinner go to waste."

]Ash sighed as Tae ran off. He really did like the other lion. He was just a bit too hyper and needed to calm down if he was ever going to start a pride. He looked down at Nadine as she licked his nose and smiled at her. "Mm, they're crazy to not want to be around you." He said as he nuzzled her. "Although, I'm kind of glad to have some private time with you." He said as he growled playfully.
Ash followed Nadine's trail of sight and shook his head. "I feel bad for running him off." He really is a nice lion. Maybe next time he's around we can make up?" He asked as he looked down at Nadine. They didn't need to be making enemies right now. that's the last thing anyone needed right now.

Nadine shrugged as well as lions can shrug. "I didn't see what went wrong, we were having conversation and he just huffed off. I wouldn't be opposed to it if he just...." Sighing, she turned toward Ash. "Oh i don't know. Maybe i'm just being crazy. I mean, those other two lions havn't even spoken a word of the whole thing. It's as if they havn't a care either."
Nuzzling her partner she purred. "I agree. Enemies are not on our top priorities of things we need to be doing. I dont' think we made enemies of him, i just think he got a bit touchy for some reason. Perhaps prides hit a sour point with him as it does each of us."
Purring loudly, she got up and stretched a bit, and settled back down into a curled ball to continue the nap that she had stated before being awoken.

It was a strange feeling to be rather cool and burning up at the same time. But that was the oddness of his color, really-his white hide stayed cool in the beating sun, whereas his thick black mane was about to give him heat stroke. He sighed, keeping his head close to the ground as he trotted panting towards the lake. It seemed so inviting at the moment...but he suddenly realized he couldn't go near it. There were lions there. A pride of lions, maybe. They would more than likely try to kill him for being there, as the last one did. Kojo moved quickly to a smaller tree a few yards away, looking out from behind it. If he was bad at anything, it was being inconspicuous-between his clutsy self and his bright bleached colors, there was no way he went unnoticed here.

Ash smiled as he watched Nadine fall asleep. He thought about everything he had said and she was right. Maybe pride talk touched a certain spot in Tae that he'd rather not remember. Just as Ash let out a low sigh his ears started to twitch. He heard the white and black lion before he saw him...but once he saw him he couldn't miss him. His white fur shimmered in the sun and Ash had to blink a few times to make sure he wasn't seeing anything. He watched the lion closely as he tried to hide from them. Why was he hiding? He frowned a bit. "We won't bite." Ash yelled out to the lion in hiding. "Why don't you come out of hiding?"

"..." Kojo paused, looking out from behind the tree. He was being...friendly...? The white lion looked like a ghost as he moved low on the ground, taking a few cautious steps out from behind the tree. "Who...uh...wh-who are you?" He wasn't sure why those particular words came out of his mouth-but once they'd escaped him, he laid back like a sphinx, watching Ash wearily. Kojo was a rather small lion-and considering Ash's size, he could easily be pummeled.

Ash frowned at how nervous the other lion was being. Boy, something bad must have happened to him...for him to be weary like that... He thought to himself. He rose up and inched closer to the white lion. "The name's Ashoka. You can call me Ash." He said as a warm smile crossed his face. "That's Nadine over there." Ash said as he nodded towards the sleeping lioness. He laid down on the ground and cocked his head as he watched the other lion. "What's your name?"

Suddenly aware of the lack of warm body at her side, Nadine blinked and opened her eyes at the bright sun. She was never going to get a good nap! Snorting in irritation, she looked around to find where Ash had gone off to, only to see him confronting a new Lion.
A White Lion. "How queer..." she thought. White wasn't usually a colouring for lions, and he stood out like a sore paw, but there was something to be said about it. It did give him a majestic sort of foreign look that wasn't at all displeasing to the eye. Though she much prefered Ash's colours, this new male could undoubtedly have his pick of females when he decides he's in an amicable mood.
Rising groggily from her spot, she came up slowly to stand near Ashoka. Nodding her head a bit at the new lion, who looked completely terrified, she decided to sit where she was to not frighten him off.
" Hello. I'm Nadine if this big oaf hasn't said already,"She said, nudging Ash a bit playfully. "and you havn't a think to be so frightened about. We arn't dangerous. " Shaking her head a bit to get rid of an annoying fly, she sat quietly to hear more.

"Uhm...m-my name is Kojo." He pricked his ears, though still sitting wearily before them. The lioness was analyzing him-he could feel her eyes. It was a strange thing to be in close contact with other lions, especially ones that didn't want to kill him. "I...uhm...you two are together? Not in a pride...?"

Anya had kept quiet most of this time as she observed the other lions at the watering hole. It was slightly unlike her to, but apparently she had been struck at how many of them were there. She wasn't used to such large groups. Her tail flicked gently as she watched wearily from her position near to the water's edge, debating on whether to take a swim or not.
It was getting dreadfully hot, though...
Van slipped from the brush, the sun beating down against his clothes. Though his hat protected him from the glare, it also made him feel like he a walking oven! His nose twitched as he smelled other lions. A group of them meant that there was something around...like food perhaps? or maybe even water? The thought sent him to a jog, and sure enough he saw the watering hole.
Slipping passed the other lions he came up to the pool and stepped in, lapping up the water greedily. His tail splashed about as he mad an effort to cool his body inside and out. He didn't even notice Anya, the lioness from before. Eyes stared out from afar as she traveled. Her form seemed to not know the deathly rays of the sun against her pelt. She ignored it, and kept going. Nothing mattered to her except reaching the water. She had been traveling with her pride before they got separated. Now, with no help and no sign of her old group, Cipher had to move about on her own. She barely even knew how to hunt! It was extremely frustrating to her, but she kept going.
Reaching the watering hole, she suddenly few fearful. Was this their territory? Was she intruding? Getting into a submissive posture, Cipher slowly began to slink into the open, hoping not to be thrashed, or something of the sort. She would be way to tired and fatigued to defend herself, and outrunning them wouldn't even work.

Ash smiled as Nadine came up next to him. He nudged her back in response to her nudge. He looked back up at Kojo and smiled warmly. "Yeah, we're together." He said as he looked down at Nadine and smiled more. "And no, we aren't in a pride...yet." He looked back up at Kojo. "What about you? Are you in a pride yourself?" He asked, not knowing Kojo's past.
Ash's ears twitched as he felt the presence of a couple of more lions making their way towards the watering hole. He looked around quietly and saw the purple colored lioness he had met earlier. He smiled at her and continued to look around. It hadn't been her that he had sensed. His eyes slowly fell onto a strange looking lion. What is covering his body? Ash thought to himself.
As soon as he thought that he saw a movement out of the corner of his eye and turned his attention towards it. Another darkly color lioness was making her way towards the watering hole. He wondered where the two new lions were from and if they had a pride or family.

Sachmet walked out of the woods towards the watering hole later that day. She had been out hunting and had managed to catch a injured monkey so she felt better but she wanted to go for a little swim. But when she got to the hole there were already quite a few people there. She recognized a few of them from earlier but the others were new. She looked around at them and just made her way towards the water. She walked in a little and let her feet cool off. She was very hot after the walk here. She wondered what was going on and who these new lions were. She hadn't been in this area long and didn't know anyone yet, but she was kinda shy and didn't want to speak first.

"Ah...no. I was rejected by my father for being a white lion, so...." He was relieved to know that these two weren't enemies. And he could tell that here, they were drawn together-all these who walked towards the water now were loners, without a home, without a pr--his eye caught a beautiful shimmer of golden brown by the water. The lioness there was the most beautiful he'd ever seen. He ignored it, however, turning to look again at Ash and Nadine. "So are there any prides around here at all, or...?"

Looking up at Ashoka from her slightly shorter vantage point, she replied to Kojo's remark. " Not yet, no. This area seems fairly Pride free. Ashoka and I however, are seriously concidering starting our own pride. "
Grinning, she laughed a little. "Or atleast, I am, and he'll go along with it because he's nothing better to do. I'm just sort of... scoping out, what lions i think would work well together." Frowning a bit, she recalled lions in her birth pride that fought constantly, causing much drama. "I would prefer that the pride got along atleast somewhat..."

Ash frowned at Nadine's comment then nudged her side playfully. "Now that's just not true." he said as he looked up at Kojo and smiled. "I'll go along with it because I love her and I want to start a pride with her." He said as he nodded.
"Why...would your father reject you just because you're a white lion?" Ash frowned. Sure he hadn't had anyone for as long as he could remember...but he couldn't imagine a parent giving up their cub on purpose. Maybe he was just naive and didn't know that there were mean and hateful lions like that out there. He sighed and smiled warmly at Kojo. "Whatever the reason, you're welcome around here and I'd be more than happy to have you as a friend." He shook all the bad thoughts out of his head and continued. "After all, enemies are the last thing any of us need right now."
