Alone they stand on the hill, dueling faces on
Defending honor, swords are drawn
Neither makes the first move, circling continues
Here they stand, on and on wait these patient men
Back and forth go stares of concentration
Grips tighten around woven hilts
Stances freeze in the blood-stained dirt
One then lunges, slashes twice, and the fight begins
Blinding steel flies through air meeting between
Clashing starts ringing in their ears
Sweat drips down worn muscles
Bodies strained, tired minds work to stay alive
Sun dies beneath the trees, darkness consumes all
Out of breath, they now pause to circle once more
Plunging back into fury, rest remains short-lived
On and on, dueling lives, ‘till the end of time
un-nammed

Greetings fellow writers! I am currently working on a book series although i am not sure if I want to post it on here. I am kind of shy. However, I will probably post poems and short stories and things like that. I will also be reading what you all post. biggrin

So, yeah, I'm writing a series of novels at the moment, and I joined because I seriously want some criticism (from someone other than my mom.... XD).
Umm, let's see, as for the kinds of things I like.... I like shocking people. I like to surprise people. My favorite thing to do is to take your typical plot twist (i.e. the hero's romantic interest is the bad guy) and then twist it even more until it can't even remotely be considered the same (i.e. the hero's romantic interest is, indeed, the bad guy, but she's not the one doing anything - it's her negative thoughts taking form and doing the evil deeds for her. So, just by thinking, she makes evil things happen).
I came up with the above example off the top of my head by the way. XD
Um, avid bookworm, avid procrastinator, avid writer even so, and, um... I suppose I'm a bit of a drama queen? That's only when I'm in the presence of other people, though.... XD

Hii! I'm new to this guild, and guilds in general. I am ... usually an avid writer, but lately there has just been no time. I'm not on gaia a lot, so I won't be posting too much sadly. =[ I hope to be able to share ideas and get feedback on some of my ideas. =]

Greetings, all!
I am new to not only this guild, but also Gaia itself. I've been online occasionally for about a week or so now. I'm not much of a writer, but I'll try to post a thing or two and maybe take part in some of the Role Plays. mrgreen

I'm not so new to gaia or writing however this *is* a new account. I want to make writing fiction my profession so I've decided that what better way to start then to get my work out there? Here's hoping that you enjoy my work and I look forward to reading yours!
