Okay, a few things.
There is a major difference between ADHD hyperactivity and normal little kid hyperactivity. The former is exponentially more than the latter.
If you give a kid without ADHD Ritalin, the kid will get worse. ADHD has something called "Paradoxical reactions," which means that depressants lift them up and stimulants, such as Ritalin, call them down.
Asperger's often includes ADHD, OCD, Hyperlexia, low EQ and SQ, and other things. I have it, and was diagnosed with it fairly early. Well, I've come so far that I'm now only Asperger's-like.

Well, um... I've been diagnosed with social anxiety disorder and I think I have avoidant personality disorder, but I have yet to discuss it with my therapist. So I basically live my life as a hermit at the moment and I'm working on getting my prescription for Paxil filled, but so far the anxiety is winning the battle. >.<

Amens The only diagnosis I have gotten is defensivly paranoid. I`m also most likely bipolar. Thats mood disorders right? Bipolar is a mood disorder. Paranoia by itself is a symptom rather than a diagnosis by itself. But there are several diagnoses that include Paranoia as a primary or major symptom.

I was diagnosed ADHD with symptoms of bipolar 10 years ago, when I was 9. I've been on meds since then.
When I was about 16 or 17, they confirmed the bipolar diagnosis. (:

I was diagnosed as Manidepressive a time ago and has now been, not by a doctor but all of my friends and online mates, diagnosed as suffering from DID/MPD. Are, but I think this is more natural, a little paranoid too.

Uhh well I think I have some kind of mood disorder and I know I should get it checked out but I'm sort of against taking meds. Also going to the doctor would mean my mum coming with me because I don't want to go alone and I'd feel REAALLLLYYYY awkward asking a friend to come. So if my mum came she'd force me to see a counsellor or take the medication or what ever and the whole world would know in under an hour what the verdict was, and if a friend came they'd deem me officially crazy or something. I used to keep telling myself your just paranoid or something I don't have depression or anything I'm just being stupid but it's been going on for years and it's getting worse. The only reason I really want to get it checked out is so that I know what it is and it isn't just me I have to have it proven because I'm attacking myself over not knowing which makes things worse.

For 7 years I've been diagnosed with ADHD (I'm 14 now), and for about 6 months, the "severe" kind. Supposedly, my I.Q. is much higher than normal, and my artistic/musical ability is estimated to be about double my age. However, I have no focusing capabilities whatsoever, can become EXTREMELY hyperactive, and my organization is sadly lacking. A pretty high dosage of medication does little to help (stupid weird body chemistry... blaugh ). Though it's not part of a "disease" (I consider stuff like autism, ADHD, etc. as mental differences, not diseases), but I stutter pretty easily, though only when I speak in English. Kinda freaky, 'cause it's my first and dominant language, though I can speak Thai, Spanish, and Latin without stuttering (and I don't even know all the grammar, yet. xd ) Actually, there's about zip grammar in Asian languages... After seeing how off-topic I can get from the above, I think you can really tell I have ADH-hey, what's that?! whee
