Miyako patiently stood on the platform with a smile on her lips, waiting for her train to arrive. A large suitcase was by her side and strapped to her back was a long black bag, carrying a telescope inside. Around her neck hung a small notepad and a pen, decorated with stickers of all sorts.
"Miss, are you going to need help with your bag when you get on the train?" questioned a young man who was passing by.
Miyako merely looked down at her heavy suitcase and then at the boy with a kind grin.
No thank you, she thought as she expressed it to the boy by shaking her head no.
At that moment, the blaring noise of a train coming soon sounded through the area, causing Miyako to return her gaze ahead of her and to grasp the handle of her suitcase. The speeding train came to a halt and the doors slid open quietly in Miyako's presence.
Here goes nothing, she mused while picking up her suitcase with a hidden strength and walking into the cool train with a smile. She set down the suitcase momentarily to hand the conductor her ticket and then continued on walking to her room with a sigh.
While Miyako's eyes scanned the decorations as she walked to her temporary home, she noticed how vivid the colors were.
This is an interesting way of decorating, she thought with a grimace, not quite enjoying it. If it were her choice, Miyako would have only chosen to use the colors blue, black, and white when decorating, but it wasn't her choice therefore she sucked it up and dealt with it.
After what seemed like a few minutes, Miyako reached room 9 and opened the door while holding her breath. She released it with a sigh when she realized that her room wasn't as bad as the hallways. With all of her strength, she heaved her suitcase up on her bed and flopped down next to it afterwards.
Just as soon as she lied down, there was a knock at her door. Miyako furrowed her eyebrows in slight annoyance but returned to her normal nature when she opened the door. A man with green hair and glasses stood at her door with a welcoming grin.
After he said hi to her, she wrote down hello on her notepad and showed it to him before he suddenly left towards the back of the train.
Well that was quite abrupt, she observed as she returned to the bed and lied down on the comforter.
