wow...this guy really had it rough...I had pretty much nothing before the fall, now I still got jack He thought. He closed the book and put it away in a pocket on the inside of his cloak, the pocket next too it , ironically enough, held a pocket bible. Altair wasn't a total devotee but it had good stories in it and reading helped past the time. In a pocket below it it held a few personal items, his wallet, passport, not that it was of much use anymore, as well as a necklace that had a had a pendent that held the picture of his parents and his girlfriend who had died within a week of the emergence of the demons.

Oni walked towards the town, whistling a tune to himself.
"I was boooorn, in a crossfire hurricane" he said quietly as he walked.
Thankfully, no one stopped him.
Most people wouldn't, if they knew he was a demon. Not out of fear, but he was THE demon.
No the strongest. THE as in the most known in the area. Again, not out of fear, but Oni helped the humans and gods more. He didn't know why, but somehow, he didn't totally enjoy eating humans.
He found them a little too chewy.
Oni turned the street, and nearly hit someone from behind. The man's head was down, apparently looking at something. "Sorry." he said casually, sidestepping the man and continuing.

Tomha was returning to his home that was on Earth. It was a mansion tht held a good handful of human minions. The mansion was mentioned in the book to be in the far east of the town they encountered him.

Rebecca started to walk around, looking pretty tired, and cold. She didn't know quite what was going on but she just walked looking around at everything that was happening.

Oni walked past the man, and about 10 feet up the road, stopped.
He felt a strange aura about the man.
He turned, walking back up to Altair.
"Hey. You." he said, stopping as he got close.
Oni looked at the cloak, seeing a large bulge and droop of one area.
"What's in your pocket?" he asked casually.

"Nothing important" Altair said, not looking at the man who had asked. He adjusted his cloak abit and kept walking. Dimitri followed closly behind Altair. He adjusted the position of his shotgun so it was abit more comfortable.

Rebecca walked over to the men. "Um...hello?" She said softly not knowing if they were human or demon.

Oni laughed, turning and following the men.
"I doubt its nothing...evil books, and also The Good Book, give off auras, though it takes a special kind of person to feel it...if you catch my drift."
He laughed again, turning to the girl.
"Hi there." he said casually, waving his hand half-heartedly. "And what is a nice young lady like yourself walking the streets alone in these dangerous times? Unless you're with them." Oni said, jerking a thumb at Altair and Dimitri.
Just as with the books in Altair's pocket, this girl gave off a strong aura.
Very strong, and Oni was able to catch two feelings through that. One was of good, and the other...love? Odd, Oni thought to himself.

Rebecca tilted her head looking kind of confused. "I um I guess I'm with them...I don't really know." She said with a blush as she looked down, trying to act nice to him.

Oni laughed. "Sure y'are." he said casually.
"And I'm Mickey Mouse." to emphasize this, he morphed his head into Mickey's head.
"Oups." he said, immitating the actor that used to voice the cartoon character, returning to normal.
"Guess I shouldn't have done that, eh...showing me to be a demon...but I'm pretty sure you knew that, right...is it Aphrodite? Or have I got my gods mixed up again?" Oni asked, grinning. "I'm not as stupid as most people think."

She looked at him bewildered. "How did you know that?" She asked as she then crossed her arms aainest her chest. "How did you know I was aprodite?"

Oni laughed again. "As I told that guy there..." he gestured vaguely at Altair. "...If you know what to look for, people with lots of power, be it a book such as the Bible, or one on controlling demons, or in our cases, a god or a demon, will have a sort of aura to it, a sense, or a feeling, radiating from the object or person." he explained.
"When it comes down to the gods, often times the sense that you get will have to do with the god they are."
He stopped, and laughed again at her second question.
"I didn't. You just told me, right now. It was a shot in the dark." he said, grinning.

Rebecca sighed. "Of course." She said as she then looked at him almost as if she was mad. "Well you know maybe I was just setting you up...Maybe I'm not aphrodite maybe I'm.....Gaia." She said with an almost tricked look on her face.

Oni nodded. "True, and I could also be lying to YOU about me being a demon. But if I was lying, could I do this?" he asked.
He opened his arms out wide, and his figure changed to what could best be described as a silhouette with large bat wings and glowing yellow eyes.
He used his wings to hover about 2 feet off the ground.
"As for you lying..." he said, transforming back to normal and looking directly in Rebecca's eyes.
"From the sense I get off you, it's definitely not earth...and you are not the Mother Goddess. If you were Gaia, you would have known the aura bit, detected me as a demon, and attacked me...to which I would have protested my innocence." he said simply.
"Yes, innoncence." he repeated, standing stock still.

Rebecca looked at him. "Touche." She said as she then started to walk again. "Your just a stupid demon." She said as if trying to get him mad. She suddenly felt like doing something to him but stopped herself.
