"Oh you don't have to go out of your way Zip, I was just...." He rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, he didn't know why he said that. Just an observation. Or maybe he was trying to show off in front of Riley, he really didn't know.
"I guess I was just being facetious." His face was turning bright red.

"Oh, don't feel bad, Brodi," Riley said with a smile. "And if you really could, that'd be pretty neat," she finished. "I hope one day I can have enough fame to get into places like backstage and stuff," she said, laughing.

"You wouldn't just be back stage Riley," He said and smiled, "You'd be the one onstage that everyone was cheering on." He had no doubt that she would make it to be known all over the world. She was so determined, so gifted. She could probably do it in her sleep.

The lights slowly dimmed as celebrities hurried into their seats for the Trinity Tears comeback performance. Trinity TearsThe stage was pitch black as Trinity hurried into her position in center stage inside a cage covered by a red sheet. She had invited two friends she met backstage - Andrew and Isi - to watch from the sides and come onto the main part of the stage during the dance break. She was a little nervous for the performance, but Andrew and Isi had given her some encouragement, so she felt she would do just fine. The introduction of her newest song, Carnival started to play. A moment later, the lights flashed on and the audience roared with applause as the red sheet covering the cage was torn off by backup dancers. Trinity turned around to face the audience with a beaming smile and began sining her song, doing a cage dance. Two verses into the song she had reached the chorus and the cage was lifted up overhead by the crew backstage and she made her way downstage towards the audience as the backup dancers mimicked her every move. She danced rather provocatively with them until the second round of the chorus, marking the dance break. She pulled Andrew and Isi onto the stage and then went to pull others from the audience on stage. She grabbed Lorenz Milton and Kamal East to dance with. And everything was going so great and ---BANG. A gun fired from the upper balconies. Trinity Tears fell to her knees and collapsed completely as the entire room screamed in panic. BANG. BANG. Lorenz Milton and Kamal East were next to fall. BANG. Zip Afron's face fell straight into his food, shot in the back. BANG. Brodi Tyler was the next to be hit. BANG. Isabella Sinda was the final victim. The room was in a frenzy as people rushed to escape. In the madness, the attacker was able to escape unnoticed. A manager of the event hurried to the microphone and urged everyone to evacuate the facility as quickly as possible. Six people shot (some the biggest stars of the industry), all in one of the most publicized events of the year. And the entertainment industry's darkest scandal begins...

Brodi stood as soon as the shots rang out. A glance down and he saw the back of Zip's head fall down to the table.
"Zi..!" Suddenly his body was thrown to the side, twisting it around, and knocking the breath out of him. Excruciating pain reeled through his body, his chest feeling like it was on fire.
It felt like hours before he hit the floor, his vision suddenly becoming hazy. He felt something wet roll down the side of his chin. He sat up, a move which caused even more pain to roll through his body. He pulled his head up just enough to see his shirt stained red right above his right breast. He raised his right hand to touch the stained cloth, only to feel the warm sticky liquid on his fingers.
"R..riley.." he whispered in a horse voice as he reached up his bloody hand and grabbed a frill in her white dress, "Call....9..1.....1" He managed to say before his vision blacked out. He clenched his teeth, trying concentrating on something else beside the pain to keep him conscience.

She had just slipped her hand under Brodi's when the lights went down and was about to retort when Trinity came on stage and the show started.
Riley heard the panicked screams around her, and one had risen up in her own throat, but hadn't escaped, as it had seemed to close up before any noise got out.
Even though people pushed to get out, Riley did not go with them (she'd be quite ashamd of herself if she left). Instead, fighting back the rising fright in her stomach, she made sure that Zip's face was no longer in his food (she couldn't even be sure he was still alive, but it'd be terrible if the shot hadn't killed him only to be sufficated).
Frantically, as Brodi grasped at the hem of her dress, she searched through his coat pocket for his cell phone. Her attire had made it difficult to carry hers. With shaky hands, she quickly dialed and waited for the phone to pick up on the other end.

What a disappointment. His first serious public event, and he was so overwhelmed by it all that he'd almost completely spaced out. Instead of being his typical, outgoing self, Evan hung back and observed, trying to figure out how the pulsing mass of people worked. This was nothing like how he had imagined; daydreaming the night before had produced imagery of a gala-esque event where he chatted up wealthy stars and benefactors, and came away from the occasion with a boosted star rating (and ego).
But this was wrong, all wrong. Chad Mitt couldn't contain his lecherous urges long enough for Evan to genuinely speak with him, and the others seated nearby were tossed into a frenzy as Angelica's water broke. Disgusting. He carefully made his way away from the area and browsed for an available seat as the lights went down and the performance began, settling himself towards the back. At this point, he wanted to get this over with and regroup.
Pulling back the chair so he could sit down, he took great care to make sure it was done quietly - not that it mattered much. Just as he was maneuvering to sit down, the sounds of gunshots rang through the building, disrupting the music and beginning inevitable chaos. Following the crowd mentality, he scrambled out of his chair and tried to get out as quickly as possible, failing to move even a few steps in the rush. Selfishly, pressed against frantic attendees, he fumed over how this had completely ruined his chances, seemingly having forgotten how he neglected to even make any attempts when they were opportune.

Everything was a gigantic mess.
One moment, Renee was getting a facefull of Angelica before she went off into the night, hoping Chad was able to pull off his distraction and willing the woman's contractions to hit right about the time Angelica hit the limo (maybe she'd get lucky and fall it), and the next, some gorgeous girl in a deep rose concoction entered the theatre as though she owned the place. And that was the easy part.
"I'm not entirely sure," Renee admitted, blinking a couple times as she tried to collect herself. The lights went out for a moment, and anything else she said would've had to be shouted directly in the girl's ear to be heard. Trinity was definitely getting her comeback tonight...in more ways than one. If anything else was said, Renee couldn't be sure - she couldn't read lips. The gunfire went off with a sharp, shattering BANG!, several times in a row, and Renee's hands immediately covered her ears, eyes darting about for whatever was making the noise and finding nothing. visible. Nothing aimed her way. But there were now several bodies on the floor, and far more massing towards the door in a frenzy, pushing her along with them. Renee hated her small stature and found something to cling to until she could get her footing and the crowd began to thin.
"Are you alright?" she asked the new girl.

Despite the entire room rushing past her in a chaotic mob to escape, Ana remained perfectly still, frozen in fright. It wasn't until things started to quiet down that Ana found the courage to move again. "I'm fine," Ana spat out, a bit delayed. She meant to next say "lets get out of here" or something along those lines, but her words just came out as gasps of air as she hurried to the door. As she was making her less than glamorous exit, Ana looked around the room one last time. An absolute disaster, a train wreck of a night. She felt somewhat shameful leaving so quickly, but she knew that she wasn't a hero. She may have confidence as a powerful woman, but not in any form of a heroic sense. With a gesture to the others to follow her out, Ana hurried out of the theatre into the even more chaotic red carpet as all the stars rushed back into their limos and even taxis to escape. But the road was filled with police cars and ambulances. Within minutes there were hundreds police were on the scene, rushing inside with medics and scouting around the area, trying to get as much information as they could, but nobody really seemed to know anything.

Isi found this all rather over whelming, she was going to be dancing on stage with someone like Trinity Tears! It was more then she would have ever thought would happen before her career even got anywhere! The gig was going to well and they were dancing and then the bangs started. Isi saw Trinity fall and ran over, hearing some more bangs and then she heard one, she was sure of it but then the sudden wave of pain hit and what happened she had no idea. One minute she was trying to help Trinity Tears and the next minute she was out, though maybe not for as long as one would expect.
It was her leg, her leg had been hit. Whether that had been on purpose or not she wasn't sure but the pain, oh the pain! She tried to move her leg but couldn't, reaching down she felt the blood coming out of her wound. She moaned a little, not really able to move that much due to the amount of pain the shot had caused. At least she wasn't dead, at least she was still alive.

EMTs scrambled into the theatre with stretchers, defibrillators and any other equipment they felt they could need. Aside from the six people who were shot, there were several others who had been knocked over and injured in the chaotic scramble to escape. Trinity Tears, Lorenz Milton, Zip Afron, Kamal East, Brodi Tyler and Isabella Sinda were all put on stretchers and hurried into ambulances that sped off to the nearest hospital's emergency room. The other injured party goers were treated next, with less urgency due to less severe injuries. The police escorted anyone else remaining in the theatre outside to clear the crime scene.
