He sat down and whined softly once more. He was still hungry...but he wanted regurgitated food or milk. Why didn't this big wolf get it? He opened his maw wide and a made a gagging noise, trying to show what he wanted.

((We should have Dalhmir meet a female who'll teach him how to raise a pup before Myrkur starves to death. xD))

Dalmir curled his tail about his paws when he noticed the pup had no interest for it. He eyed the small thing, lifting a paw to start to groom himself, when suddenly Myrkur whined. He frowned, confusion filling his thoughts. Did the pup actually want his tail? He lowered it experimentally, waving it around Myrkur's face. He paused when he heard a gagging noise and his eyes widened. "Are you sick?" he asked, wondering if maybe the bird he caught before was diseased. He looked around at the snow that was everywhere and flattened his ears before starting to dig through the white fluff. "Eat this." he said, once he managed to expose a small clump of grass. He had a craving for it whenever he felt sick and perhaps the pup would feel the same?

((So... we continued the RP over MSN but then both accidentally closed it and lost it all. xD We're too lazy to re-write it, but basically, Ginjosk suddenly appears and has just shown Dahlmir how to feed a pup.))

"No, its not vomit!" she said. "its regurgiated meat. it makes it so they don't have to chew!" she said. "now you try it."

Dahlmir looked at her, his expression clearly skeptical. "Really." he said. "I'm sure he'd like real meat better. He ate a bird from me a few hours back." He puffed out his chest fur proudly, as if getting a pup to eat was a big accomplishment.

"Bird meat is teder and flakey. They can eat bits of fish and bird." she muttered, giving him a strip of meat.

Dalhmir huffed. "So why can't he just eat that? I'm sure this... this regurgitated meat isn't that good for him."

She gave him an incredilious look. "pups need more protien then what fish and birds have. They need deer. now try it."

Dahlmir shook his head. "I'm sure he can eat some real meat." he said. He didn't really believe it. He just didn't want to barf in the pup's mouth.

"Then he'll die." she said. "Because he can't. You're the worst father..."

Dahlmir scoffed. "Don't be so dramatic. I'm sure he can handle raw meat." He snarled at her next words. "I never said I was a father."

She scoffed. "Then don't pretend you know what a pup needs." she chewed the meat and put her maw into the pup's mouth again, coughing it up.

"And you're saying you do? Last time I checked, you didn't have any pups of your own." Dahlmir said, his mane bristling with agitation.

"I have had THREE litters of pups now, sir. Don't tell me I don' know pups!" she shouted.

"And no mate?" Dahlmir growled back, showing his gums. "I'm sure they turned out well."

She snarled and was about to leap at him in anger, but the small pup snarled and jumped between them, yipping at her. She sat down. "Mind your own damn pup then." she said, walking off.

Dahlmir jumped to his paws and was preparing to fight back as well, when suddenly Myrkur ran in between them. "Same to you." he growled to her retreating form. When he was sure she was gone, he flattened his fur, although his legs were still stiff. He glanced at the pup from the corner of his eyes. "You didn't have to do that, you know. I could've taken her." He huffed again, but he was thankful for Myrkurs' interference.

Myrkur yipped again and sat down, maw wide open.

Dahlmir grumbled when he saw the pup's open jaws. He noticed the female had left the rest of the deer here but he ignored it, instead tugging out a few tufts of grass and putting it in the pup's mouth. "There." he said, d. He'd show that female that grass was really what Myrkur needed.

Myrkur spat it out and shook his head, whining loudly and pawing at his new adopted father.

Dahlmir snorted, burying the saliva-soaked grass under the snow. "It's good for you." he said, turning to dig around for more grass. As he turned, his eyes landed on the leftover carcass and he could feel his saliva dripping. It had been a while since he had deer as it was hard for a lone wolf such as he to take one down. He got up and walked over to it, sniffing greedily before tearing at it.

Myrkur's eyes lit up and he toddled over, plopping his bum down and opening his maw wide.

Dahlmir, his muzzle bloodied, ignored Myrkur while he ate. He had never thought of himself as a father and felt no maternal instinct toward the pup and he was content with feeding himself first.

Myrkur whined and bit his tail, yanking it. He was hungry NOW!

Dahlmir growled when he felt something on his tail and kicked out at it. He was used to being around only adults and from his short time in a pack, he knew that he had a right to eat first.

Myrkur yowled in pain and laid down on the ground. the adult hated him now...he got up and began to walk off. he didn't want to be his pup after that.

It was only after he had eaten his fill did Dahlmir notice the pup was gone. He sniffed around curiously at the snow floor, thinking that perhaps he was trying to play hide and seek. "Myrkur?" he called.

There was a whine under a snow covered bush where the pup was trying to lick the little cut on his tummy the adult had given him. He shuffled away from the edge of the bush.

Dahlmir flicked his ears, hearing a faint whine. The snow had erased most traces of Myrkur's scent but it had made it so that sounds could travel farther. "Myrkur?" he called again, leaving what was left of the carcass for now. His tail twitched and he remembered that he had kicked out at something as he ate....

He whined again and slunk back even farther. He was cold now...cold and hungry and alone...but he didn't want to be found.

Dahlmir frowned, his ears flattening guiltily when he realized it was most likely Myrkur he had subjected his wrath upon. With that realization came another one: that Myrkur was most likely hiding from him of his own free will. He growled at himself. It was only the first day and he had already managed to scare the pup off. He remembered that just hours ago, he had wishes the pup gone, but in the small gap between, he had actually gotten used to the little stalker.

He stood there, undecided. Just leave the pup, as he had wanted to do before, with what was left of the carcass, or look for him. He snorted, thinking the answer obvious. He would find him, of course, as he had already decided to take care of the pup.

His vagabond lifestyle had made him accustomed to sneaking around and, knowing Myrkur did not want to be found, he stepped lightly, making no noise. He licked his nose and opened his mouth to catch scents better, following the faint trail Myrkur had made. He was still a pup, so it didn't take Dahlmir long to find him and he grunted at the pup, prodding the bush with a paw. "Get out of there."

Myrkur whined softly and bared his gummed mouth, no huge teeth yet. He made a soft "Uh" noise and pressed against the trunk of the bush, ears pinned. He whimpered at the adult, still hurt.

"Come on pup, what's wrong with you?" Dahlmir said, tugging chucks of the bush out with his fangs. "Aren't you hungry?" He made an exasperated growl, tearing at the bush again. It was made of thin, twisted braches and he was having a hard time ripping it off the floor.

Seeing his attempts were getting him nowhere, he sighed, sitting. "All right, I'm sorry, okay? Now come on, get out. We're just wasting time here and a bird could take the food or something." Unlikely. He could scare the birds away and he had clearly marked the food as his, but he was impatient and wanted the pup out quickly.
