Samantha's mind drifted in and out between this world and one of her own, as she watched from slightly afar hidden in the trees.
Not that she was attempting to be rude; the same thing happened in several of her classes, walks, everything, with both students and teachers, and everyone else....it was just that none of it interested her enough before her mind seemed to want to go on autopilot to something more interesting and exciting, or at least to pass the time. Sometimes she deemed it such, sometimes it was as if she had no control of her own mind. It felt like she was walking in black and white world with not much color and all the voices were dull and meaningless, and she spent too much time in the Land of Oz with it's colorful surroundings and people and it's ability to keep you guessing. And she was in control of the story; perhaps that was the best part.
Even if she wasn't a heroic person, at least she could conjure up someone who is of all the qualities Samantha ever wanted and felt needed in a person. And as she watched all the people through daydream glazed eyes, she really just heard mumbling and babbling of pointless drama that meant nothing, that wasn't interesting, and was keeping her attention from staying in focus.

Adair paused a moment, frankly surprised by Guillame's actions. She quickly recovered from her initial shock and nodded towards Tristan.
"It's nice to meet you, Tristan." She stood up a little straighter as was her habit when answering questions. "My uncle resides in Maine, presently. His father, my grandfather on my father's side, immigrated there from France. Somehow, my father neglected to pick up the accent whereas my uncle did. I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I never learned to speak French."
She opened her mouth once again to apologize for apologizing, but stopped herself from being redundant. "It has become a habit of mine to apologize to acquaintances for small things. I never seem to know what will offend them..."

Tristan giggled slightly at the girls apologizing. "If that is how you act with something like this, I'd hate to see how you would act with something huge!" He said jokingly. He grinned widely. It was REALLY fun meeting people! And he was still with Guillame, which was a bonus. "Hey, I was about to go on a hike in the forest, do you guys want to come with me?" He asked to them. He looked over at where Alex was at the moment. "You can come to, as long as you promise not to pick any fights." He said with a grin. He didn't want the guy to feel left out. Not to mention he looked amazing.

Guillame turned towards Tristan, so many people were showing up, he was worried that he might accidentally give himself whiplash. He smiled at the thought. It'd be something if he was actually suceptible to that.
"I wouldn't mind going on a hike....bon idee." Guillame smiled a rather large smile. He then averted his attentioin to Adair.
"Will you be coming along? I am sure it will be vachement amusant." He assured her, knowing that he was probably right this time. The last time he'd gone on a hike with a friend, he ended up having to haul his friend back to civilization, his friend had fallen and had gotten his foot stuck in a chasm of some sort.
Alex had his attention now. Guillame wasn't the sort who would pick fights so he simply smiled.
"It would be fun with more people."

Adair frowned slightly at Tristan's words, which were unfortunately too true. She sighed slightly and lowered her gaze, not feeling confident enough to make eye contact.
"It appears that when I am in a different situation, I become exceedingly polite and use the language of a robot. This seems to be one of those situations, but unfortunately there's nothing I can do to stop it."
She looked up momentarily, to reply to his offer of the hike. "It would be... nice to take a hike, although I'm not an outdoors sort of person. I might come if I'm not imposing too much. Allow me to notify my overprotective mother before she becomes too worried."
Turning around, she pulled out her phone and spoke a few quick words. Her mother was glad for her 'little girl' to be socializing with her new 'little friends.' She attempted a nervous smile "I have permission."

Tristan grinned. "It's fine that you act like that around people. It is good to be polite to new people!" He said with a laugh. God, he definitely had to do this more often. He linked arms with Adair with his left arm and Guillame with his right. "Shall we be off?" He asked with a lopsided smirk. He knew if Alex wanted to catch up, then he would. He wanted to go into the woods so badly.

Guillame smiled along with Tristan, he was a bubbly fountain of energy and he liked that. He glanced over in Alex's direction and shook his head. Turning to Adair he smiled once more.
"Don't worry...you will be okay. C'est pour le amusant." He smiled and turned to Tristan who had his arm linked to his own. Guillame's smile widened.
"You are the leader, take us where you may." He looked at the woods, not able to wait to get inside. The woods were calming...he had once painted the woods in France before. It was difficult to say the least, to capture all of the colors and textures but he managed and ended up having an art collector buy it off of him for one thousand dollars.

Tristan lead them into the woods at a slightly fast pace. He couldn't wait any more than Guillame. Once he was in the relaxing shade of the trees his grip on his friends arms loosened slightly. Not completely, but a little. He looked about and picked a somewhat difficult trail and started walking. This was going to be fun!

"E-Excuse me... But I have little to no coordination when it comes to my footing, so if I may walk on my own my balance may be slightly better." She stuttered slightly, feeling awkward at best.
She slipped gently out of his grasp, before assuring herself that she was still standing upright. Looking around, she noticed the gentle scenery that seemed to calm her nerves. Smiling she said pleasantly," This is a nice day, maybe I should come out here more often."

The girl sighed to herself and watched as the group seemed to FINALLY make a decision to head somewhere....judging from their walking, it looked like it was towards the woods entrance. She watched their actions, the awkwardness.....it all seemed so, hollow to her. She could practically sense the flirtatiousness in it all, and it almost disgusted her.
Seeing no point in following them, Samantha turned from them and made her way out of the shady area, her thoughts calling to her, but not telling her that she had left her bag by the trees while she was leaving the park.

They'd been walking into the woods. Before the park had gotten out of sight for him, Guillame noticed movement and trained his eyes on whatever it was. It was a girl. He mentally cursed himself and gently untangled his arm from Tristan.
"Desole encore....sorry again, I shall return in a little bit yes?" Guillame nodded and smiled sheepishly, running off down to the park. A bag was left by a tree. He picked it up as he kept running, his momentum carrying him down the hill and to the girl who had just left.
"Un moment! S'il vous plait!! Madameoiselle, excusez-moi!" Guillame shook his head, he forgot to switch to english.
"Excuse me miss! You forgot your bag!" He waved a hand as he reached her and tapped her on the shoulder, his breath wasn't even short after his sprinting. He put on a friendly smile, holding out the girl's bag. Guillame felt like a peace-keeper today.

Tristan hadn't minded when Adair let go of his arm, but when Guillame left, he heaved a soft sigh. "Just had to help her..." He muttered to himself. "Well Adair, let's just wait here for him to bring her along." He said lightly as he perched atop a fallen log. Hopefully it wouldn't be long. He watched Guillame as he talked to the girl and sighed.

Guillame left the bag with the girl and did a quick little bow.
"Be careful miss...you would not want to lose that." Guillame then bowed out.
He returned to Tristan and Adair. It wasn't polite to keep leaving people like he did and when he returned...he was blushing quite a bit.
"I appologize for my leaving...I cannot help myself sometimes." Guillame's grin was as wide as it was sheepish.
Guillame directed his gaze towards Tristan and his boy-ish crooked grin replaced his nervous one.
"Shall we continue our walk?"

Tristan leaped off of his log and linked arms with Tristan again. "Gladly!" He said laughing. He worked on leading their little group deeper into the forest and into the little secluded glade that Tristan loved. It was nice and small, and peaceful, with a little creek running through it. It also had a few nice flat rocks that, on a day like this, would be nice and warm and perfect for relaxing on.
