"Yeah..." she laughed nervously, "That would be a good idea." She turned back to look at him, having gained some of her previous composure, and smiled, still nervously. "I'm not in with any gangs. Not sure how I got this far but people may have noticed my picture about. They tend to leave me alone as they don't know what I..." she stopped right there, might be carrying? I can't say that, "what trouble I may bring. So, leading me out this dump or what?"

"Yeah, this way," Carlos said as he walked around a corner, "Stay close. They tend to leave couples alone and strike the individuals." Realizing what he said he corrected, "Not that I'm implying anything...like that at all...so don't worry. I'm just trying to keep my end of the deal." Trouble she could bring, he thought to himself. Looking back at her he didn't see what trouble she could possibly be a blue jacket and miniskirt, a small white purse. In mockery he thought, Oh no the horrid mace might get me. He slightly laughed at the thought. Collecting himself again he realized that they still had a long journey ahead of them. Another three blocks may seem short but this place had a nack for causing unwanted detours.

Upon arriving at the scene of the crime, Liam and his younger partner Rob exited the car. It looked to be a large store house, most likely a chop shop of some sort. Liam checked for backup and was answered with a 'ten to fifteen minutes' ... great. After sharing a quick glance with his new partner he led the way up to the building.
Stoppping at the entrance he reached into his leather jacket and pulled out his weapon, a fairly large revolver loaded with .357 rounds. No one on the force knew why he had a revolver rather than an automatic, having one made Liam aim more carefully. However he did have a 9mm hidden away on himself should he need it.
With weapons in hand Liam knocked the door open and was ready to yell out that the police had arrived, but he was interrupted by the sounds semi-auto machine gun fire. Liam dove to the right behind a gutted car while Rob knelt behind a removed car engine.
Turning his head to the right Liam could see a couple of dead bodies belonging to a coupl of the local gangs. He also took the time to survey his surroundings. They were on the main floor of the buidling, car parts, cars, and bodies lay scattered about the area. A metal staircase led up to the secound floor which looked to hold a couple of offices, flashes of gunfire could be seen coming from them.
They whole building was barely lit and for the most part was completely black, which made Liam want to wait for the backup ... but by then those responsible would get away.
He looked over at Rob and made a few handjestures suggesting that he make a run for the stairs and Rob would follow after. Standing up he quietly ran over to the staircase, his running shoes made little noise as he silently approached his destination. However a loud clatter behind him made him whip around seeing Rob dead in his tracks with a pile of tools at his feet. It seemed he started to move too early and didn't see the tools he knocked over.
The noise did more than alert Liam but the one thug that they didn't see who was hidden in the darkness. The rapid fire of a semi-auto rang out and Liam witnessed his new partner being riddled with several bullets, the kevlar they both wore would not withstand that. As Rob fell to the ground Liam turned to where the attacker fired from and could make out a shodowed figure. Waisting no time he fired two rounds and heard the assailant collapse to the ground.
Angered at the loss of yet another partner to the violence consuming this city Liam turned and charged up the stairs ready to take care of the remaining criminals ...

She followed him clutching her purse. Thakorise nodded when he spoke but said nothing. She looked around as her legs moved, but she couldn't help thinking she preferred to be there than at her home. "As dangerous as it is around here," she said in a faraway voice, "i'd prefer to stay here. Home is way too formal for me. You know, sheltered...uh-oh."

Before them was four men. One of them was the greasy man from earlier. She grimaced and slowly reached into her purse. Unconsciously, she took a step closer to Carlos. "He doesn't look very happy."

s**t, he thought as he looked at the men in front of him, Don't think the manager gig will work here. Noticing Thakorise move closer to him he tried to continue forward giving a slight nod to acknowledge them. Maybe they won't recognize us, he thought hopelessly, It's not like she's the only girl walking around here like that. He shook his head as the men stood firm in front of him. Clearing his throat he finally said, "Let me guess. A toll booth has been established in the past minute."

Name: Caoimhe (pron. KWEE-va) Faden
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Occupation: Student (High School)

Social Status: High Class
Appearance: True to her name's meaning as well as her ethnic origins, Caoimhe is a beautiful young woman with porclein skin and forest green eyes. She inherits her deep red hair color from her mother (her father's hair is more orange), and it is long enough to be braided and still hang at her lower back. Her bangs are not short either, cut in a sloping fashion from her chin to the rest of her hair. Though she does not have many of the popular curves seen on magazine models, many would still describe her as a natural beauty. Her fashion sense is modest and casual, usually consisting of comfortable jeans and a long-sleeved shirt.
Special Designs: Nada; she does not find much interest in body modifications.

Personality: Modest, true-to-herself (whomever herself might be- she has yet to figure that out), Caoimhe is a very sweet-as-candy-type of girl. Some might call her old-fashioned, being a polite young lady to anyone and everyone; she hardly ever tries to be rude -unless upset- and will most likely apologize if she has been. It's a sinch to make her nervous, but nearly impossible to make her angry. If she trusts someone enough, she'll be more open and talkative, although she is generally quite quiet.
Phobias: Being lost, small and enclosed spaces (claustrophobia), strangers, being made fun of for her accent.

Brief Biography: Born in Scottland, Caoimhe lived there most of her life and into her mid-teens. Her and her parents only recently moved a few years ago -around when Caoimhe was 15- due to work-related issues. Although their daughter is unaware and uninterested in their jobs, only knowing that they work with computers and are some sort of scientists, they keep a very high and steady income into the family, living in one of the high class neighborhoods of the city. Not surprisingly, they have enough income to send Caoimhe to a private, all-girls school just outside of city limits, with uniforms and all. Despite living in the bright life, Caoimhe's parents have raised her with good morals. Her current ambition is to get a part-time job, though it's proving to be rather difficult with all the extra curricular activites her parents enrolled her in.

Moving up the stairs Liam entered the office area of the building to the sounds of voices coming from what he could tell as three people.
" I thought we got them all?" mentioned one of the three, a male. "Guess not, we should head back down, you leave the building and tell the boss we did what we were supposed to," the secound voice was that of a female. " Yeah sure," the third was a male as well.
Liam was standing with his back to a wall, he was able to peek down the hallway where he saw the three standing together. The figures were siloueted by the only source of light on the secound floor, a lamp sitting on its side. With a loud shout he let them know he was here, " POLICE!! DROP YOUR WEAPONS!!"
He quickly retracted his head as he knew what the answer would be, a hail of bullets. With his revolver in hand he hit the floor and rolled out into the open where he fired off three rounds, one was a killing blow to the head bringing down one of two males. The other two hit the woman in the upper chest and neck killing her. The remaining suspect ran out a fire escape before Laim could fire his remaining round. He ran to the escape but when he opened the door the suspect was not in sight.
Cursing at himself for not catching or killing the last guy he inspected the two he had killed. They certainly did not look like local thugs or gang members, rather they looked like trained proffesionals. Why they would want to take out this place was byond Liam at the moment, but he could figure out all of that later.
Returning to the dead body of his new partner Liam knelt down beside the body, lost in his own thoughts for the moment.
His attention was drawn to the gold ring on the young man's left hand, That's right ... he had to go in the convenience store to get some things, spices i think ... when our shift was over he was going to surprise his wife with dinner ... s**t ... I really hate this job ...

[[ They are NPCs, you know, anyone can control an NPC. ]]

Thakorise moved until she was partially behind Carlos, then, she opened her purse slowly and slipped her hand inside. She barely acknowledged the fact that she was doing it as her eyes were set cold and straight at the men blocking their path. The red haired b*****d took a step forward and took an old knife out one of his pockets. She could tell he was no professional with it, but with the way he weilded it, that he could do some damage.

"Wut it gonna be?" he asked in his terrible drawl as he and his cronies took a step forward. "Hand the missy over an'..."

He fell short of words then as he stared down the barrel of Thakorise's gun.

"You...you wouldn't...too...too high an' mighty..."

"My parents are both top lawyers. I grew up around law, do you think that I would keep a liscensed gun in my bag and not use it when my rights to free will are being crushed?"

[[Alright I said I'd make a profile for this thing so here it is:
I know the font is tiny, is was just so the profile would get posted and not take up a tone of space.

User Image
Name: Lillia Green
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Occupation: Actress

Social Status: Medium/Well Respected
Appearance: Standing at about 5'4", Lillia has a very thin figure. Her hair hangs slightly above her shoulders and is slightly wavy and normally parted to the side. Her narrow eyes are a blue-green color and seems as if they are full of trouble. Her tan skin is very smooth, except for a mole under her right eye. She wears very sassy clothes, usually wearing a load of jewelry and ruby red lipstick
Special Designs: She has a small tattoo in the small of her back of a heart with two little demon wings [Kind of like this only more detailed].

Personality: She could typically be described as 'single and loving it'. She has a very laid back personality, but often tends to get very snappy or sassy. She always wants to do things her own way and doesn't seem to follow orders very well. She's also a top grade debater; she'll never back down from an argument, or fight, or challenge. She's strong, beautiful, independent, determined, and sometimes a flirt.
Phobias: Often seen as fearless, Lillia's only phobia is drowning. She hates the water [like lakes and stuff].

Brief Biography: Lillia grew up in a small town with her sister and grandmother. Their father had never been around and their mother died shortly after Lillia was born from a high fever. Despite her appearance, Lillia knows how to do physical labor. She and her sister had to divide the chores around their house because their grandmother was too old to do much of anything. As a child, Lillia had been the little dreamer and the drama queen of the neighborhood. She'd always have stories to tell to entertain others. When she was fifteen, her grandmother passed away and her had to be looked after by her sister. Later that year, she attended her sister's wedding and then later moved with Mariah and her husband to the outskirts of a large city where she got her education and eventually made *most* of her dreams come true. ]]

Carlos slowly slid the lead pipe down his arm as the man started to approach them. "Now, now," he started as the man started his own statement. Simultaneously they both stop and stare at the gun, being hung over Carlos' shoulder towards the other men. With wide eyes Carlos slowly steps away and places the lead pipe down and raises his hands, not surrendering but more of trying to calm her, "Hey we don't need this. He's just an ambitious guy." He looks at the men, "She'll do it. I'd suggest just leaving, we don't want a mess. And I'd bet you definitely don't want it involving your brains on the ground." The guy stared at the gun then looked back and forth between Carlos, his buddies, and the lady holding a gun to his face.

"Hey, we'll leave for now," said the man. Gesturing to his buddies they start to walk off. Looking back he says with a slur, "This ain't ove yet a'ight missy." With that they ran off towards an alley.

After they had left Carlos looked at Thakorise with amazement. "You've been carrying that around the whole time?" he asked. He turned around in slight anger, "Damnit." He turned towards her again, "Why the hell did you drag me into all this? Pulling that out here is asking for a deathwish. If they say anything, especially if they recognize me at all, will bring hell to these places." He looked at her gun, "It may be licensed under your 'laws'," he said with mockery, "but out here you also need to get the okay from the turf leaders. Them being the current gang owning the different streets." He turned in anger again letting out a small growl, "Why am I even telling you? You can go home and be all safe, you don't know wha hell you just brought me." Growling again he turns to her, "We have to get you out of here soon." Grabbing her arm he tries to drag her along.

"Oh forget it," Thakorise said in an angry voice. She pulled her arm away from him and snap her fingers loudly. "I don't know much about this place but I know it belongs to Chen. My mother is winning a case for him so I know i'm safe for now. Besides, those guys can't possibly be from around here or they wouldn't have bothered me whochmeans there is no way you'd be bothered. Right? That is if you're not lieing to me again by claiming you're from around here. Don't you pay attention to detail. Anyway, they most likely will be dead before they get out of this place."

She returned the gun to her purse and walked past him with her head high. She was fuming and wasn't sure if she was going the right way, but from the way he had pulled her, she knew she was going in the general direction. "I'll find the way out by myself," she called angrily without looking back.

I'll find the way out by myself...was I only referring to this place, or something else? What the hell was I thinking? Looking for a way out, huh? Better just leave this place and stay stuck on the land with the shimmering lakes. Should not should NOT have come here. Am I even going the right way?

Carlos shouted back in mockery, "Since when did I say I was from around here. I merely wanted to help you out." Seeing her walk off he continued, "But since we're on this truth rant, I'll tell you. I move periodically. In my line of work staying anywhere for too long will end with my life story bearing only a couple chapters." With this he clearly brought his right hand into view exposing his three fingers and a blank spot where two other fingers belonged. "This is what happens if I get identified," he added with slight sorrow from his horrible memory. He jogged over to her and tried to cut her off.

"I can still help," he added and thought for a second, "It's dangerous for me around here now. I said I'd take you to a cab and that's what I'm going to do. I'm leaving this place anyways." He gave a soft smile to hopefully regain a slight bit of her trust again. It was true if she left him, he'd have to leave this place anyway. At least this way he can make sure she gets to a cab safe. He then looks up and down the streets, "I just need to find a phone and fast."

Lillia found herself sitting in a dimly lit cafe staring into a glass of warm tea. Her hands wrapped around the slightly weighted white coffee cup, her thin fingers criss-crossing as they met. The cafe had a nice feel to it: the lights were low and several scents floated about in the air from various candles on the shelves, counter tops, and tables. It was a very small place; there were roughly six tables inside. One could say it was just the perfect hiding place for an actress such as herself.

Her ruby lips formed into a small frown as she thought about work. The director for this movie was so hard on her. She had been working hard all day and they'd barely managed to get through three scenes because nothing she did was ever right. The movie was called Chasing Wings and was about an angel's life exiled on Earth before Heaven and Hell began to rage war. Perhaps playing the lead role of an angel was just too much for her...

She closed her dull teal eyes for a moment and gave her head a light shake, bouncing her wavy brown hair about. "Mariah would have played a better angel," she said in reference to her older sister who actually had the sterotypical appearance of the winged creatures. Lillia set her cup down on the wooden table top with the quiet soupld of glass scrapping against it, and then rested her chin on her left hand and she turned to gaze out of the cloudy window. "Getting away from work sure is nice," she said in a low tone to herself.

(Sorry for not posting in awhile! X.x)

Ray paid no attention to whatever it was Kali threw upon the table. "Tryin' to scare me away?" He had to resist laughing out loud, which would've been rather obnoxious.

"No, seriously. I want the job. I don't really care. I'm a fight clubber, I've got no home except what the gangs give me, and I don't have much to live for. Got it?"
