Melunha smiles as his familiar runs off, then turns again to Marisol. "She's a Quetzle, her name is Amalphea. She's very friendly." He's about to tell the young one she should go play, but stops, not wanting to sound bossy. Then an idea hits him. "Wanna go join the game?" Not waiting for her answer, Melunha runs off after the others. He has no clue how to play, but just running makes him feel young again.

Hirondelle continued to chase after Allus as Coquille turned to watch them. The winged filly was running full speed. Many should think she would have taken off by now, but she didn't want to risk injury besides the occasional trip. Bounding over the sand dunes, she hoped this time she would catch the yellow stallion.
Marisol watched as the pink stallion sprang off and sprinted after him to catch up. A Quetzil? she thought as she raced on, seeing him head towards Allus, their familiars, and her sister. She had never heard of such a creature. She spied another strange lizard-beast near the treelines and wondered what that was as well. Now she had almost gotten close enough to n** Melunha's tail.

Hearing the filly catch up, Melunha checks his stride, slowing just a bit. Keeping to this new pace, and hoping the other doesn't realize he's slowed, he waits for her to catch him.
Up ahead, Amalphea was coming up to Hirondelle, giving a mighty leap, she lands on the winged filly's back. This act is more of a predatory instinct, then fun, though the Quetzil does no harm to the young Kirin. Quickly, Amalphea scampers along the others back and neck, using the filly's head as a makeshift spring board to leap ahead. Landing with a soft thud in the sand ahead, Amalphea keeps on going.
[[wow, is bad when familiar gets the longer post..]]

Marisol cranes her necks to reach his tail. Is she getting faster? She must be! She is close enough to grab a mouthful of his tail and she bites down. Not hard, but just enough to grip it and tug playfully on it while they run. She smiles and whinnies through the tail, bouncing happily that she caught the older stallion.
Hirondelle chased after Allus and reared when she felt something on her back. Her wings flared as a lizard-creature skittered on her back and jumped off of her head. Snorting, she took off after it, leaving her chase with Allus behind. It had scared her and she wanted a little harmless revenge.

Angie flinched when he hoof was poked at, then she leaned forward to sniff at what had poked her. She smelled like the water... Angie continued to hide underneath Amphrite though, tensing then relaxing at her comforting nuzzle. She murmured softly, looking up at the two females. She looked at the fillies running with the adults. The adults scared her, so big and fast. How would they not run her over? "Stay." She said, digging to set herself deeper into the sand.

Coquille turned her head at the filly. Then she smiled in a calming manner. She wouldn't press her any longer, though she did hope that the filly will eventually gain the courage to join her fillies. She rolled her her side and stretched her legs a little, looking back at her adopted daughters and watching over them.

Watching the romping foals a moment longer, Angie glaned up at the mare she currently hid underneath. Standing slowly, she walked just as slowly over to Coquille, her blue eyes wide and cautious as she settled herself down next to the shelled mare, scooting closer on her belly until she was only a couple inches away.

Amphitrite nodded, smiling gently at the filly. "There, see? It's all right. Everyone here wants to be your friend, and the other young ones only wish to play with you."

Feeling his tail being nipped and pulled, Melu gives himself a smile. Carefully, so as to not trip either him or Marisol up, he alters course slightly. Now instead of running parallel to the trees, they are heading away from them at a slight angle, toward the water. Though it would be hard to tell until they got farther away.
A somewhat evil idea, well evil in the big-brother-teasing-little-sister way, came to Melu. As he runs, he takes in the beach, looking for the right spot. His plan, assuming he can find a stretch with no rocks, is to turn as sharply as possible when they reach the water's edge. This, he hoped at least, will send the filly swinging out over the water, and should she lose her grip, the water will give her a softer landing. Satisfied with this, Melu adjusts his course again, having found an area perfect for his idea.
Amal gives a very quick look back, almost stumbling when she sees Hirondelle swerve after her. With a burst of speed, she darts ahead, then turns, slowing while scampering backwards. With a grin, she sticks her tongue at the filly, then turns and darts into the trees.

Allus continued to run around on the beach still playing tag with the little one. Nella seemed very nimble upon the sand as she darted quickly around. Allus' hoof suddenly found a hole in the sand and he fell on his face, getting a face and front full of wet sand. Yet he didn't move his back hoof still trapped within the hole in the beach, sand now filling the hole keeping his hoof there.

Coquille gently nuzzled the filly beside her, happy that it was slowly becoming more comfortable with her. Perhaps someday she could be a playmate with her own "daughters".
Marisol bounded happily after Melu, nickering along the way. She suspected nothing and was still happy that she caught up to him, even just once. She kicked the sand up from underneath her and continued to chase after him.
Hirondelle snorted when the little creature stuck her tongue out at her. What nerve! She was about to charge after it when she heard tumbling behind her. Coming to a complete halt, she dug her hooves into the sand and sent a wave of the grains in front of her. Then she pivoted and raced back to Allus, sniffing the sand around his hoof, unsure of what to do. She just whinnied worriedly. "Allus stuck?"

Shocked at first by the foreign feel of the affectionate nuzzle, Angie's blue eyes brightened. That was... comforting. She knickered softly, brushing her nose in return against Coquille's leg, then looking up at both Coquille and Amphrite for approval.

"That it seems I am," Allus replied with a sheepish smile. "Mind helping me out little one?"

Coquille's eyes softened as the filly nudged her in return. Just as affectionate as her own adopted fillies. She nuzzled her once more as the filly looked up at her and the other mare, than smiled at the latter and giggled softly.
Hirondelle tilted her head. How was she going to do this? It was definitely a new predicament for her, and she plopped down onto her belly, her legs sprawled out, as she thought about it for a minute. After deciding the best way to go around it, she scrambled back onto her hooves and went behind Allus, then using her back and shoulders, leaned up against his backside and tried to push him up and out of the hole his hoof was stuck in.
