Vlase walked in silence, taking in the newcomer with the same cold demeanour he had all the others. There was no off switch that made him any more human or approachable.
~~
Parris, complete with confidant smile, walked from the office and turned away from the unnoticed Indigo. And was grabbed from behind.
There was a split second where his blood ran ice cold and the texture of his skin began to change to feathers, then stopped when he realized who it was.
"Indigo! What the hell!?!" Parris freed himself carefully, not really wanting to hurt the other, though the thought had crossed his mind. "Can I help you??" He chirped, quickly trying to regain his composure of moments ago.

Giggling in an impish manner, Indigo took a few moments to recover his composure enought to talk. When at last he began speaking, it was in a bright, friendly manner. In addition his words were fast-paced and difficult to fully absorb unless one was used to conversing with him. "Well, well, well, dear, Parris! I couldn't help but overhear your delightful talk with Mr. Brodan back there after my jaunt back from my father's office. I hear your undertaking some field work?" At this juncture in most people's speech, they may have paused for a reply. Indigo paused only briefly, which would allow for a broken phrase or prehaps a nod. "And you see my friend, I am in sore need of a mission myself. Father, has not been necessarily pleased with my actions as of late. Seeing as you've never been out on the field before (correct?), I thought I might accomany you?" His request ended on a higher note, that surely denoted Indigo's pleading undertones. "Please?"

Trent? Not sure, but i'm assuming that it's a health issue. Most likely related to the fact that he was smoking. I'm here because i'm sick of living in a cave. Trent is here for medical attention, and the two others are here for reasons unknown to me. she could already tell that she and Ras were going to get along. Assuming she's not a stiff like Vlase.... Ava thought. Probably lying about her name. Part of it at least. But then again, I'm not being completely truthful either....

Another smoke filled snort left Sam's nostrils as he stalked after Bailey to the medic area. He was surprised that already so many people were turning up, and the one brash girl felt the need to give out his name, he didn't particularly care for that. But the morph pushed it aside. Sliding the boy off his scaly back once he arrived at the medical bay. Now he's their problem. Kid better not die on us. Sam thought to himself shaking his large head. As he made his way back to the rest of the group he slowly changed back, "Hey y'know where a guy can get a decent drink around here? Vodka or whiskey will do." The Shadow sent that Ras's way, straightening out his jacket, and had to tighten his blind-fold again. It always loosened up when he would change. And he had heard the question asking why they were all there, but once more before he could say anything the girl Ava beat him to it. A frown appeared on his face, A drink would be wonderful right now. He thought with a sigh.

((Vlase is following everyone silently. Not a lot to say about that))
~~
"You want... to go with...?" Parris looked at Indigo silently for a moment, mulling over his choices. On the one hand, Parris didn't work well with others. Never had. On the other hand, Parris hadn't ever done field work before...
And Indigo had practically begged. That gave him the final push. People begging always made Parris happy. "Fine. You can come with. Just try not to get in the way. I have to go get some supplies and then I'll be back to Brodan. You can do what you want in the meanwhile."
With that, Parris turned away and strolled away happily, a slight bounce in his step and everything.

Strohm made it to the Institute and immediately began marching upstairs. He didn't understand why he had to come here, when they could've just told on the phone. They weren't making him evaluate another rookie on his first mission, were they? Several have died on their first time out, and several more would have if they didn't have someone like him to watch them. He saw two others in the hallway, Parris and Blue-Indigo. Strohm barely considered Indigo an Altered, but thought Parris trusted the Institute too much, seeming to almost treat it like a religion. He slowed his pace, not sure if the two were waiting to see 'the boss', but as Parris started leaving figured that at least he already had.

Dragon boy is old enough for whisky? Ava thought. This suprised her greatly. He didn't look older than, her.... But then again, looks could be decieving. Deciding it was time to humor someone, Ava reached into her jacket, retrieving a bottle of clear liquid. If you want Vodka or Whiskey, I can't help you there. I've got the next best thing though. Pure unaltered Moonshine. Don't ask where I got it though. That's on a need to know basis, and nobody needs to know. Ava specialized in getting rare objects. How she got them was unknown to anyone but herself, and that was how she liked it.

Bailey left the smoking, injured kid with the medical team. They promised her that they would do whatever they could and fix him up. She thanked them and headed back to her little pack she had dragged back and managed to hear the words "Pure unaltered Moonshine". "There's a guy here who makes that stuff and he'll give it to ya for free. But it's made with battery acid." She shivered at the thought of drinking anything with an acid substance.
"Well, the kid will be okay. I never really made any real proper introductions and I suppose now would be the proper time." She pushed some strands of hair out of her face and let out a sigh. "My name is Bailey Hale, and I've lived in Retribution my entire life. If one of you works for the Institute, I'll kill you without even considering to spare your life."
She looked over to the dragon guy and spoke. "Sam, I give you my thanks for caring that kid all the way here. I wouldn't have been able to do so on my own and I don't know if he would have survived. He's in good hands now." She looked at the rest of the pack. The Vlase person was silent and probably lethal. And the other person, who had come out of no where. She thought she heard her call herself Ava. A familiar face had approached and she smiled. "Hello Ras, how are you?"

Vlase watched the group in silence, making a mental note to where the med. dock was. If he was going to spend any time with these people, surely he would need to know where it was.
The dragon had turned into a boy, which wasn't surprising either. Vlase ignored that and returned to focusing on the leader-girl. Her name was Bailey, but he knew that. She lived in the Retribution base. He guessed that.
Vlase shook his head, none of these people seemed to have anything all that interesting about them that he would like to speak with them at all. He almost wished he had stayed topside. On a side note, at least underground he now knew where these rebels were hiding if her needed the backup.

Sammuel blinked slowly behind his blindfold as his shielded gaze went from her, to the bottle, and then back again. A lazy grin broke out over his face, “Very nice, love. You keep providing things like this and I might think you’re hitting on me.” He teased as he took the bottle from her. But before he could throw back a few good gulps of it Bailey informed them that the kid, Trent, was going to be alright. Well now that was one less thing off his conscience. He hadn’t been expecting the thank you though, and pretended to tip an imaginary hat in her direction, “You’re very welcome, Bailey.” Sam said in an almost sultry tone.
This was Sam though; there were three girls in the area, he had alcohol, and all these things put him in a very good mood. But when was he not in a good mood? Oh yeah a few moments ago after having to do some much work with no play. Now the only one was the group who seemed to have a stick up his a** was the green-haired male. Inwardly The Shadow tsked at this, opening the bottle, and took a swig making a refreshed ‘ahhh’ sound. Even though it burned like hell going down. “That’s some good stuff. You want any?” He offered to Vlase.

Ava noticed that Bailey had shivered at her mention of the moonshine. Somebody probably told her it was made with battery acid. Ava thought with a smirk. That was just something people said to keep others from drinking it. The man who had traded her the bottle Had made it the same way you make whiskey. Just with a few little alterations. But nothing dangerous enough to get you more that a monstrous hangover and the normal side effects of normal alchohol. Turning toward Sam, Ava said,Don't thank me. I got that bottle just recently, and I've been meaning to get rid of it. Can't stand the stuff myself, though. The only reason I have it is because it was cheap, and I thought I might be able to get something off it. Ava turned toward the rest of the group, and following Bailey's example, gave them an introduction. You guys already know that my name is Ava Morretti. My parents and I busted out of the institute when I was two. Since then we moved around a lot. I have a younger sister, but I lost track of her about nine years ago, when my parents died. And don't worry about me being with the institute. Ava said as she unbuttoned her jacket, showing them a long ragged scar that started at her right shoulder. Let's just say the guy who gave me this, isn't rounding up any altered anymore. Ava gave them all a look that plainly said that the story on the scar should not be discussed anymore. (real time/world talking here! I'm leaving for camp tommorrow(august 2nd), so don't expect any post from me until friday(august 7th) Until then!!!!)

Vlase looked over at the shifter when he was addressed and offered some of the moonshine and answered with a single, negative, shake of his head. Why do they insist on trying to talk with me...?
He turned his attention to Ava and listened to her story with an expressionless face. It was becoming rather apparent that he was always stone faced like that. He didn't react to her scar in any visible way, though he noted that she wasn't a push-over.
It appeared to be life-story time, which didn't really make Vlase want to jump up and begin talking about his past, so he remained silent and waited to see if the others would talk around him.

Bailey listened and studied everyone's movements and expressions. Vlase didn't seem to want to be here, at least around this group. Sam looked pretty content and Ava was a friendly individual. She kept quiet while the others talked and then she stretched and let out a yawn. It was night, and she was pretty tired herself. Bed sounded like heaven at that moment.
"Well guys, I'm beat. If you'd like, I'll show you all to open rooms and we can all get a good night's sleep."
She knew for a fact that there was enough rooms for everyone. Retribution hadn't had good luck with finding any Altered recently, so for Bailey to bring back a handful of them was wonderful. She waited to see what the others would say and prayed they would agree that sleep was a good idea. If they didn't, she was going to head to bed anyways. She had had a long day.

For the most part, Ras had fallen almost as silent as Vlase. Now that she no longer percieved the new comers as too much of a potential threat, she had very little to say the them. The girl had been kind enough to mumble some brief directions about where to find Alchohol in Retribution and who to get it from. To Ava, Ras had nodded slowly and cast a condescening look at Trent-- if he was dying due to ciggerettes it was his own damn fault. They should have let him rot. Although even as this wicked thought tumbled through her head, Ras knew that had it been her in that situation she would have done the same in rescuing him.
Upon Bailey's arrival, Ras' hand twitched into a small wave. "Hello, Bailey. I'm fine, thanks. Just checking out all of the ruckus down here. You're in good sorts, yes? Tired, I assume... I can help show some of them to spare rooms if you would like." Why on earth she has even offered to aid Bailey was beyond her. The words pushed past her lips before she had time to think about the properly.

Indigo had been waiting for Parris' answer with his breathe held up in his chest, though he didn't realize it. When at last the boy agreed he let it go in an excited burst of gratitude. All in the same breathe it had been difficult to supress a incredulous snort. "Don't get in the way." Parris hardly knew the first thing about field work, if anything, Indigo felt it should be he that should be saying that. That is, if it was the sort of thing he would say. Instead, Indigo glossed over that last bit, and responded only with his thanks.
"Heeey, thanks. I really need this, you have no idea." As the other boy strolled away, Indigo kept in stride beside him. "I'll need to go with you to get some equipment and suit up... I sort of lost a gun last time I was out, and I'll need some more bullets." As they walked, and Strohm entered the hallway, the fine hairs along Indigo's neck prickled-- they were being watched. Turning a glance over his shoulder, when he spotted the older man, Indigo called, "Hey Strohm. Brodan and my dad are in there if you need either of them!"

(( Hey guys I'm back sorry i was at a con >.<))
After what seemed to be like hours on end the young man began to awake. With a tilt of his head he staired at everyone with a blank look in his eyes. "Where in tarnation am i?" It still hadn't hit him he was lying in a hospital bed. It felt like this place was somehow firmliar though he just couldn't come to grasp it. After a few minuets had passed a few flashbacks sparked across his mind, when he suddenly remember his mother.
