Granted, but the aliens don't like your brother any more than you do. They get mad at Earth and fry it, because they think everyone there is like your brother.

Apparently there was a mix up with your taxes. You receive notification that you will be paid back in full. Hopes for paying your family's bills look bright. The next day the check comes in. You run to the mailbox anxious to open your check. The amount to be refunded is $18.03. Unfortunately, companies that you were in debt to got a piece of your money first.
I wish I was finished with college already.

They start to get along, so you get another bird. He turns out to be carnivorus and kills your birdies.
