 He felt his forehead and admitted that it was slightly hot and let his head rest against the cool wall. He listened to the pulse that sounded in his ears over the silence until another sound, footsteps, came over it. "I'll kill-" he cut himself off as his eye's re-opened, he hadn't noticed them close, and he spotted the girl. "what are you? A lost puppy?" His question was spoken rudely and with irritation at being followed. (if the angels are here to kill humans and the demons to save them does that mean we kill the angels?...we need more people for a war...)

((I don't think you could get Nadine to kill anyone, even Hitler, but your character might want to kill angels, i don't know. Mine just wants to shield them which is impossible.))
Nadine frowned. The boy looked even worse, but was still as sarcastic as the day he was born... made... whatever. Well, fight fire with fire, right?
Nadine tired to think like a demon. Finally she responded, "You're the one who washed up on my doorstep. I don't want anyone else dying on my watch, and you're too close to it for comfort."
What was that he had said... had he been threatening her, thinking she was someone else?
"If you've got some sort of rivalry or grudge, you need to keep yourself in better shape. I don't think you could kill a puppy right now, you'd better watch your mouth." She reached out to help him up, then thought better of it- he would only slap her away. "Can you stand?" she asked instead.
((And we do need more people... I'm on it.))

Ororon watched her as she approached, couldn't she tell he wanted to sleep?, "of course I can stand" he glared up at her, if he thought anything of her he would be tempted to prove her wrong on the puppy notion. But she was just a stranger, "but like I said earlier, why would I?" The demon stared around the room, it was annoyingly white and office like...must not be a house and the passing notion crossed his thought out loud" what is this place?"

Rai looked down upon humanity with a scowl of disgust. Humanity had become corrupt. They no longer led lives of purity and devotion. They defied God and turned their backs to him. She replied, trying not to sound amused or exasperated, "It's an old pet hospital, but the local gang uses it as a hideout. They appear to all be out mugging rubes right now though."
She was tempted to say "rubes like you" but thought better of it, considering his naturally pissed-off state. Instead she walked quickly to the door, she didn't want to be caught here if the gangsters arrived. The demon had had his fair chance, she wasn't going to stick around and risk her own life for someone so stuck-up, especially when she had been trained to kill his kind on sight. I guess everyone was right about demons, she thought as she walked out the door she had run in only moments earlier.
((Hope you don't mind that i said it was a gang hideout, you seemed headed in that direction anyway))

Ororon sighed emotionless as the girl left. Now he slept. The demon woke to the sounds of footsteps, laughing and things clattering to the floor. In a moment there were some grungy kids staring at him with smokes in their mouths and guns at their sides. "hey looky here, we got a newbie who wants to join our club!" One red haired boy shouted back as he ventured closer, "hey buddy what do you think you're doing in our turf?" Quickly he was surrounded by an alarmingly, or would be alarming to anybody else, group. Ororon starred back at the kid with the edge of his mouth tilting downward, "shut up kid"(lol something to do, that sounds fun)

Nadine walked back to the cafe, trying hard not to think about the injured demon. "He can look after himself," she reassured herself, "He'd just snip at you and pass out again."
She winced at the thought and walked a little faster, swerving to avoid questionable substances on the sidewalk and equally questionable passerby. But at the next intersection she turned sharply towards the local soup kitchen where she volunteered, telling herself that her urge to go to work early had nothing to do with the fact that it was near where she had left the injured boy.

"Oh look the tough guy thinks he can take us on" The kid sneared at Ororon taking out a gun and holding it next to his head. Ororon sighed annoyed, "I'd rather have my eye's plucked out by ravens than be annoyed by an attack from a cheap waste of flesh like you"The kid glared as Ororns hand reached up and fell on his forehead with a grin, "die" Screams and shouts rose as blood flew around the room and a lifeless body fell to the floor. After beating a few of the kids and watching one piss their pants Ororon couldn't stand the noise. He walked out the door leaving them as they were. No one would notice much differance anyway, from what he had seen any way. It wasn't time to nap...there were places to go. Not. He started remembering the people that had saved him...it was his honor that made him consider going back

Furiously washing dishes, Nadine heard a door slam shut and looked up, concerned. The gang house was the only one for miles with an actual door- the rest of the houses had been bombed, kicked, shot, or were just too poor to afford one. Were the kids done with the demon so quickly? She'd heard some screams, sure, but she was used to those by now.
Looking out the door frame she saw the demon, and did a double take. She had seen some of the damage that gang had done and hadn't even been able to help the worst cases die peacefully... yet here was this wounded stranger, staggering down the street covered in someone else's blood. And what was funny was, he wasn't running and he hadn't killed her. Yet.
Nadine shuddered and grabbed her staff from under the sink, then ran out the back door and through the alleyways towards her apartment. Her heavy-duty medicines shouldn't have been left there for just anyone to use.

Ororon continued to walk aimlessly for a while. His 'nap' however short it had been had helped a bit. At least he could see straight. He continued on stepping on the various articles of trash and other human waste, he noticed some people eying him as he watched and glared. They didn't seem afraid. They were hardened from this world. It would make his father proud, being a high ranking demon and all.(no one joined...)

Rai looked down upon the surface, following the stench of human waste. There, in an old abandoned vetinary....the filth of this land. The stench that fouled her Lord's nose. What a great place to begin. As she enetered the building her nose wrinkled. "Demon." Disgusting smell. A few gang members heard her and turned toward her, shakey hands clutching guns as they pointed them at her chest. "Wh-who are you?!" They reeked of fear. Rai smiled and spread her hands. "You shall be the first of my Reaping. Please do enjoy yourselves." Her old companion sword leaped from it's holster to her hand and her wings spread wide, blocking what remained of the windows from the gory mess she was making.

Winded, Nadine staggered back up the street with her medicine kit, thinking wistfully of the days when she could have flown the distance. Being a human was hard, and she leaned on her staff for support, inching up the road at a fraction of the speed she had had going home. Those kids were probably dead by now- she had to start training if she wanted to be fit enough to save humanity!
Suddenly, a huge shadow blocked the holes in the walls of the hideout, and screams rent the air. Evidently someone had survived whatever that demon had done, and was paying for it. Somehow she summoned the breath to crest the hill and limp, blistered, to the veterinary door. It was hanging nearly off its hinges and blocked by white wings, attached to a slim angel who looked younger than even Nadine.
Nadine hissed in hate and flipped out her switchblade, but lingered in the doorframe. It seemed the war had just begun- was it better to save these ***holes or move on to warn more worthy folk?
She sheathed her blade and tapped the angel on the shoulder with the blunt end of the staff.
