Willy diped his maw once more as Kitkat found her way over the the group. He would have questioned why she had not waited, but he had been gone a while and so he let the thought pass.
Blue orbs glanced back to Shari, "This little cub is Shari." he smiled, his pale ears rotating back, the short chocolate flakes bobbing up and down.
The male arched a brow as Neon spoke about what she had been doing. The meaning of life? Now why would anyone need to figure out that? It was oviously chocolate, and candy as well...But mostly chocolate. "What did you discover?" he questioned.

Kitkat smiled again down to the cub who Willy had introduced as Shari. "It's so nice to meet you, Shari" The adult lioness knelt down and nuzzled the red and gold cub. "So is she what the fuss was about?" She asked the king once he got done talking to neon. "I do believe we were in the middle of a game." The fox colored lioness giggled.

The king gave a flick of his tail as he shifted the weight upon his forepaws. He noded as Kitkat questioned about the cub. "She is."
"Indeed we were," he laughed lifting his tail and flicking it by his hat. "We'll have to continue our game later then, now wont we."

Shari's immediate reaction to the two lionesses who approached was to shrink back, and she did so but not by much. She lifted her shoulder meekly and watched the interaction, frowning curiously. Then she remembered Willy's question about what brought her here, and she shrugged again.
"Was just walking." She replied quietly. "And I saw water." She glanced around quietly. "So I stopped for a drink." The cub didn't quite know how to explain that she was alone without sounding needy, so she didn't add that little detail in. If he asked, she'd answer honestly, but why add unnecessary details if they weren't asked for?

Blue orbs watched as the young red cub, she had shrunk back as the two other females had arrived. Swiftly he pushed himself off his haunches, giving his pelt a shake, his chocolate mane swishing around, bangs flopping down infront of his eyes.
"Do you usually stray so far from your pride?" he asked, eyeing the cub. Willy had just asumed that the cub was already a member of the pride, though he wasn't quite sure why he didn't ask about it before. If she wasn't part of a pride he'd have to worry, it wasn't safe for a young cub to live on their own. Even if he had when he was young...He was young at a time, wasn't he?

Shari jumped at the sudden movement Willy made, and shrunk back a little more. She flinched at the question on her pride, and lifted her shoulder, letting it fall in a mild shrug. "I don't have a pride." She replied quietly, looking around. Everywhere but at Willy for that answer. Then, finally, she looked up at him. "S'why I was alone." She explained quietly, crouching down to the ground again and watching him.
This time, she was determined to not shrunk away or jump when someone moved. It was a sign of fear, weakness. Not a good sign to show, especially when one is on their own.

The male blinked, no pride? This wasn't good at all. No home to go to, and for one so young. He nodded to himself, his hat tipping down towards his bangs as he did. His tail flicked, chocolate feathers, floping over as though they had been bent in half. "It's settled then." he spoke, slowly turning around. "You will stay here in my pride." Lifting a purple paw he slowly began to trot off towards the densite.

Shari blinked suspiciously, and frowned, running after him. "Really?" She trotted beside Willy curiously, alternating between watching where her paws went and watching Willy. "I mean..." She frowned at him. "Y'mean it?"
It wasn't a surprise to her, really. Most cubs were taken in without a thought. But still... Shari trotted beside him, now watching her paws more than the lion beside her. She looked up suddenly, just to prove she could...
And tripped over her front paws, falling and landing hard. "Oof!" She growled and got up, trotting after Willy again. Stupid paws!

The king glanced down towards the little red cub who was trotting up beside him. He chuckled mentaly to himself as he watched her alternate from watching him to watching her paws. "Of course, we can't have you going back out into the grasslands all alone." he spoke with a nod. "You're much too young." 'Much much too young.' he thought to himself.
The male shook his head as Shari tripped over her own paws, slowling his pace slightly so the cub would find it eaiser to keep up.

Shari smiled up at Willy uneasily, and slowed her trot so she remained beside him. "Thank you." She replied after a thoughtful minute, looking up from her paws at the large lion beside her. "For... letting me be in the pride." Her lips curled into a slightly sheepish smile, and she trotted ahead of him, turning to face him.
"But I'm not too young to be travellin' alone." She pointed out after thinking, sticking her tongue out slightly at Willy. "I can take care'a myself." She nodded, and grinned at him. "Pretty good, too!"
((>.> egotistical little cubby. XD))

Willy stoped in his tracks as Shari trotted up infront of him, soon turning to face him. "But I'm not too young to be travellin' alone." the young cub spoke, bringing a smug look upon Willy's face.
"And what would you do if you ran into a fierce predator?" he questioned, lowering his body so that his face was level with the cub's. "And what about hunting?"

Shari grinned and crouched down, raising a paw to whack at Willy's nose lightly. "I can learn to hunt." She looked around to prove herself, but didn't spot any bugs or small animals around. Shari simply looked back. "And if I see danger, I run. Of course." She grinned and smacked her paw at Willy's nose again, crouched down and ready to pounce.
"It's really not that hard." She got up and strutted as if she was a top cat. "You just pick up these things by watchin' others do it." She smirked at Willy. "Even if ya don't belong to the pride, you can still learn from them." She nodded simply and then turned to face him again, crouched down and watching him.

The male wrinkled his nose as the cub gently batted it. "With those stubby little legs of yours you wouldn't get to far. Especially not against a fast predator." he spoke tilting his head slightly to gett a better look at Shari. Oh yes, as must cubs she had stubby legs. That's why she was so short. He was never a short kid. Oh no, he wasn't.
"Oh really?" he spoke with an amused smile. Shari was a cute little kid. "Hunting takes practace, you could die before you make your first kill." Willy was in a sense lucky that he didn't have to hunt. He had the females of his pride for that, and well he could always just whip up some type of odd candy.

".... My legs aren't stubby!" Shari stared at him with a wide-eyed expression, then looked at her legs, and then back at him. "It's just 'cause I'm small, is all." She huffed childishly and sat back on her haunches. "Besides, bein' small means I can hide quicker." She replied smugly, batting up with one paw to try and knock Willy's hat off.
"Pff. I can do it. I'm good like that." She grinned at Willy, before rising and looking around, for something to pounce. Just to show him how good she was. Because really, she was really good. Which explained why she was so tiny and weak before coming across the lake. Hm.
