Wait a Darn tootin' second, the whole intention of the move was to halt or direct the path of James's hand before James could release the whole fancy flaming fireball thingy. The goal was to pin the right arm before you released your flame, not after the release. Because judging from the move, you'd have to c**k back the right arm to your shoulder and release the arm fully to get the full spectrum of flame for a flaming wall.
Anyway, the arm's path would probably be redirected slightly, if not plenty, and the fireball most likely be sent to the right side of James were it would just flame and die openly. But Cyrus would still get some burns on his upper right rib, minor and weak ones at that, but at the benefit of still technically having grip of the right arm since that was what he used to try and freaking redirect the attack. Having this strong clutch of the right arm and having superior and very stable foot work allowed Cyrus not to get himself knocked back and still have grip of James.
And after James's parry with his only free arm, Cyrus would simply open his right electrical hand the moment he was parried and reach back in a quick and instantaneous clutch the back James's skull and release the equivalent of a concentrated taser's worth of energy into it to take him out and take care of the fight. Since it didn't matter how long of a contact Cyrus needed to release the energy and since his hand was already behind his head and close enough to grapple without any ability to dodge, James would be taken out in a matter of seconds.
Even if he switched up his footwork and moved forward to the right to help dodge or weave out of the attacks to come or out of his foot trap, it would only help move his right arm inward even more as to make his task even easier. This pretty much screwed James over.

Sure, if Cyrus could hyper-jump forward seven feet half-way in the process of getting up, in time to stop James from just swinging his arm in an arc, because thats what it was. It was to direct the flame coming off his body. Close as Cyrus was, it didn't matter in which direction it went, to be honest.
James wasn't able to dodge the grab sure, but he was able to block it. You know the good thing about having an blocking arm on the inside? It let you stop anything on the outside from reaching in, say, like, a fistful of electricity. As long as James's left arm was there, parrying out Cyrus's right arm, it could not reach in and grab James by the head.
After slamming his arm into Cyrus's midsection, James would simply twist his left hand in to grab a hold of his opponent's right forearm, and his right arm reached up to grab Cyrus by the throat yet again.
It was here that the daemon-slayer twisted his body, and simply pushed with one hand and pulled with the other, instantly throwing his larger opponent onto his back. With James's right leg already between Cyrus's from the latter's failed attempt to hold his footwork in check, there was no way the man could resist being toppeled over like a domino. His height, and strength advantage didn't count for s**t against superior positioning and leverage.

Once again, halt the clock here, seeing as Cyrus waited till James got close and then moved forward in only a few freaking feet with the hop forward (and yes this was mentioned clearly if the post was actually read all the way through), there would be no time to arc in anticipation of this counter, and even so, James would still have to c**k his arm back which was where the pin took place.
And how the hell could James throw a punch when his only spare arm was his left and it was preventing him from having shock therapy to the back of his skull? His right arm was pinned, his legs were trapped unless he moved forward and got himself in a position where he couldn't dodge the electricity, and moving forward was even limited since Cyrus's left arm was pinning him back as side effect of the pin forcing James's right arm to his body.
And if James block the punch or grabbed his arm, he'd find his arm put in a state of complete limpness and burning as the Electricity, instead of nailing his skull, would go into his only spare arm (his left) and burn and paralyze it. This arm voltage is similar, if not higher, than that used in a taser designed to paralyze the entire body, except now when Cyrus used it he was concentrating it to the point of contact, making the paralysis effect have a smaller area of effect but making it far more concentrated and effective (which meant James shouldn't be able to freakin' walk right now because of the hit he took earlier). James's palm and glove would be burned crispy (no fire resistance would help here) and his arm would be limp at that point.
And then Cyrus would begin to force energy into his left arm that was pinning James's right arm and pump nasty electricity into that as well. The transaction would be instantaneous, as fast as electricity would flow from the flick of a light switch, and James's right arm would be paralyzed as well. After that transaction, Cyrus would keep the arm pinned and knee James in the groin. He would to that, and then give him a one-two right cross, left hook with electricity to the chest and head with electricity to finish off not only his reservoirs of electricity but finish the fight.

I'm officially closing this match due to both contenders pretty much being on bad terms and the fight itself causing a lot of trouble, both ic and ooc. Judging will determine the winner.

Rhoslyn shook his fist at Vin.
"SOME OF US WERE ENJOYING THIS ********, VIN."
Fourth-wall breakery aside, Rhoslyn prepared for the next match at his Judgeotron booth.
