If it were an irritation/allergic reaction (I get those when I wear certain kinds of metal) you can always try glass. I love it! You can get great styles and cool colors at www.bodyartforms.com

When people ask me if my piercings hurt.
I also hate when people say they want so and so piercing, yet they are over 18 ( legal age to get pierced in this state )
It just makes them seem like a wanna-be. Not cool.

When people pierce themselves without the proper knowledge. gonk

I'm fine with it if they took the time to research exactly what can happen and the right technique to use, have proper sterilised equipment and such, but when they get a safety pin and run it through a flame, touching it with their dirty fingers? Ew. Makes me angry when they act like they know everything.

This. I always get to mad when my friends tell me how they pierced themselves at home. Ok, most of them did atleast buy the sterile needle from a pharmacy, but STILL!

And piercing guns. Urgh! I can't believe they are still used! There are so many hairdressers who do earrings and nostrils piercings (YES! Even mine was done that way when I was 15) with those things.

    lol, wtf?
    really? omggg.

I mean, I knew salons still used guns for ears.. But, for noses? Seriously?
I'd laugh a little on the inside if someone shattered their nose cartridge doing something stupid like that, with a gun. rofl

My biggest pet peeve is when someone pronounces labret all weird.
IT'S NOT LABRAY/LEBRAY.
When I got my haircut on my birthday the woman doing my hair had her labret pierced and that's how she said it, labrey. I didn't correct her (she had sharp scissors! lol) but in my head I was like WTF NO.

It's a common mistake, though, like still calling stretching "gauging". There are nice ways to correct people, so long as you educate them as well as correct, not just tell them "UR RONG!" you know?

I know. I'm just happy my nose is still in one piece. I don't know if they still use them. I hope not... Since there are so many piercing studios nowadays and then there are all these piercers and tattooers who travel around from their own studio.

I am probably the only person on the planet that has a problem with this. I get terribly aggravated when someone refers to me as "their artist". ********, I'm not just here to make you happy. I work for the people, not you b***h. And the people that say "My Art". b***h its my art. I drew it. I spent half an hour getting the stencil to sit straight on your fat a** arm, and then another two hours listening to you whine and b***h about how much it hurts. You damn well better give me credit.

I use the term "my artist" and "my piercer" as a shorter form of "the artist/piercer I go to". It doesn't mean you belong only to me or that you work just for me, it more just means that I go to you, is all.

I don't think most people mean it in a mean or possessive way, it's just that they don't really realize that there are other ways to describe it.

I don't know if this counts or not, but when people act like they love body modification but they do it to seem cool or to seem deep or some s**t.

Story:
The time I changed high schools was the time I started getting into body modification, and in my friends group I was the only one who admired it. I would talk a lot about it and I even did a project on the topic, and suddenly one of my friends got a nostril piercing (a month after I got mine done), and now she's decided to start posting pictures of scarification like she knows what it's about.

Sorry for the tl;dr. gonk
I know I have no right to get jealous and possessive of body modification but I just really doubt she has an actual interest in it. scream
It jurt irks me to no end.

That annoys me too, so don't worry. It makes them fake, and I cannot stand fake people.

It's one thing if you're learning and just getting into it, I get that, we've all been there. But to talk about it like you know it all, when you obviously don't, is really annoying.

I thought of another one which is mostly
me-specific. I have been talking about getting
a spider bite on my left nostril with corkscrew
jewelry and dermal anchor dimples for a while
but can't yet due to issues with work. I can in
three months, but that's beside the point. I told
a good friend and her boyfriend when I visited
them a couple weeks ago. The day after I left
they went to their piercer and she got the
spider bite in her left nostril and he got the
dermal dimples..... WHAT THE HOLY ******** HELL
I know I don't own the rights to those piercings
nor can I tell them what to do, but jeezus, at
least come up with your own ideas and stops
copies me.

That's not just you at all. We ALL feel that way. When it's OBVIOUS that they copied your idea, that really pisses off everyone.

What annoys me about situations like this is you can tell the difference between those who you kind of "inspire" to get pierced, and those who do it just to piss you off/copy you. Usually it's the ones who have shown no previous interest in piercings before and then they go right out and get these done that are doing it just to be fake, and try to copy someone.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, but it just pisses me off. I hate seeing people who rip me off, which has happened several times in my life. It's true, it's not like you own the style or piercing or whatever it may have been, but the fact that you expressed interest in the thing, then they go around behind your back and sort of "steal" it, that annoys everyone.
