Calvin leaned slightly, checking to see if there were any signs of life in the kitchen, but no dice - Templar still seemed out for the count. "So do you think you'll stay a Frontier Brain?  ~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "Become an Elite Four member?" Ally fell silent for a moment or two, tapping her chin in thought. After a few moments, she shook her head. "I'll stay as a Brain, Calvin - one'a my self-appointed brothers is an Elite Four member, and popular opinion is that he's a bit off." Three guesses who she was referring to(*cough*).
"Besides." A soft smirk graced her lips as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Elites hafta adhere to a certain set of rules - we Brains each have our own set'a rules, depending on our facilities."

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "You raise good points. And now I come to think of it, my uncle was a member of an Elite Four at some point - there's probably something in the water that sends people a bit loopy." Calvin searched about for something to talk about, the knowledge that Templar would probably wake up soon imposing a mental time limit on the Brain - he liked spending time with Ally, but he doubted she'd like him hanging about after his Mightyena had finished detoxing, in case Knight managed to somersault through plate glass or something. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "Just 'something in the water'...?" It was then that Ally reminded herself that both of her self-appointed brothers were Water-type specialists. "I'm assumin' you've met Devyn, then..." She left it at that; Jackson was better-suited for making jabs at the blonde porcupine Elite.
As for Templar, Calvin needn't really worry - as instructed, Robbi was keeping a watchful eye on the slumbering Dark-type. 'BreUmbreon.' She stretched her body out, much like a cat would.
And Landors? 'Swampert.' He was sticking around his raven-haired master - Yusei, Levi, and Xander were taking turns battling the fully-evolved Ghido. Having run into another Hoenn starter - Kanra's Sceptile, during the Goldenrod Incident - he had yet to see what a Blaziken was capable of...

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Perhaps subconsciously prompted by the sight of Landors, Calvin plucked one of the Poke Balls from his belt, offering it up for Ally's inspection. "Mind if I bring Knight out? He'd probably be glad for the opportunity to stretch his legs . . ." When Ally (presumably) agreed, McCloud artfully flicked the Ball into mid-air, releasing the Blaziken out into the Arcade. Knight stretched his legs much as an athlete would, doing a few jabs into the air in order to get the blood flowing properly - let it never be said Blaziken let their guard down. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "Ya know, Calvin?" Ally ran a hand through her long, raven-colored hair. "The only Blaziken I've seen so far belonged to Dahlia herself."
Landors nodded slightly, in agreement. 'Swampert.' True, Dahlia's had been a formidable opponent. Knight looked like he could hold his own...and give Yusei a good thrashing.
"You've gotta be proud'a Knight." Now it was Ally's turn to nod, but hers was in approval. "Bet he's somethin' to see in battle, isn't he?"

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "He is indeed - heh, once, when we were traveling from New Bark to Cherrygrove, we were attacked by a pack of Raticate. Knight was sending them flying into trees, into ponds, into each other . . . it was like something out of Enter the Dragon." Knight puffed up his chest proudly, nodding to confirm his trainer's story - granted, they had been low-level rats, but he still felt his conduct had been more than satisfactory.
"Then again, there was that time he went flying through four screens of plate grass . . ." ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "You shoulda seen what happened when Landors an' I were travelin' through Kanto..." She chuckled. "I was trainin' him up to face Lt. Surge, and there was a Magnemite swarm~."
A bemused grin crept across the Mud Fish's features. 'Swa~ampertSwamp^^' He waved a cobalt-shaped, three-fingered palm in a dismissive tone.
"Then I caught Xander..." An amused glint appeared in her reddish-brown eyes. "And challenging the Fuschia Gym..." She remembered the calls that she got from her aunt Sabrina about Koga wanting to know just why her niece's pokemon destroyed nearly half of his Gym.
"But I digress, Calvin." She jerked a thumb over her shoulder, towards the kitchen of her Arcade. "You still gonna say 'no' to that tea I offered earlier?"

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "Well, now that you mention it, I'd be quite partial to an Earl Grey with two teaspoons of sugar, some mint and some cream." Calvin thought for a moment. "If that's not too much trouble of course." He was quite finicky about his tea, a habit worn into him thanks to his upbringing, but at least he was polite about it. "Since Templar managed to get through enough sherbet to descend into a sugar coma, I'm guessing you have quite a well-stocked pantry around?" ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "Of course I do - some'a the sherbet Templar wolfed down was picked up from Mossdeep." She shrugged. "I could always order more, tho' - no big." With that, she began opening up a cabinet(or five), searching for the Earl Gray tea that Calvin requested. "Landors, would you go get some cream from the fridge?"
The Mud Fish - who was contemplating how he'd fare in a battle against Knight - nodded. With a 'Swamp.', he plodded into the kitchen.
"He'll be a couple minutes." Ally gave Calvin a wry grin. "I'd offer a magazine or something, but we're outta those I'm afraid..."

Calvin seemed determined to be as polite a guest as he could - something Knight wasn't quite as concerned with, paying neither Ally or Calvin any mind as he watched Landors plod into the kitchen; much like the Water/Ground-type, he was totting up his chances against his fellow Hoenn starter . . . ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "No wonder people say you're such a charmer." Quirking an amused, thin black eyebrow, Ally set a box of Earl Grey down on the counter(she was still in the kitchen). "You always kinda seem t'know what to say, don't you?"
A few moments later, Landors returned from the fridge, placing a carton of cream next to the box of tea. 'Swampert.' Giving his raven-haired master a quick salute, he cast a quick glance over his cobalt-colored shoulder in Knight's direction. '...' If Knight didn't turn out to be anything that even remotely resembled Kanra's Sceptile - which spawned his new-found hatred for the Forest Pokemon -, he had a feeling that he and Knight would get along splendidly.
"Thank you, Landors." She patted the Mud Fish lightly on top of his head. Grabbing the container of sugar from an upper cabinet, she continued to converse with Calvin.
"So you read about Seals too, eh?" Chuckling slightly, she shook her head. "Thought I was th'only Brain that did that..."

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Calvn couldn't help but give Ally a little bow when she called him a charmer - it was nice to know he wasn't making a complete hash of the conversation. "Thank you, m'lady. I do my best." Knight, meanwhile, decided to make the first move, and went over to Landors, offering the Swampert a clawed hand, the Castle Duke's manners clearly having filtered down to his Pokemon. "[Good to meet you. My name is Knight.]" Let it never be said that Blaziken weren't to the point. "Well, given how bright some of them are, it's nice to know what's blinding me when people release their Pokemon - the first time someone came in with a Sealed Ball, I nearly had a heart attack." ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- Landors nodded in greeting to the Blaziken, taking the handshake that Knight offered. 'SwampertSwamp-Swampert(same here; I'm Landors).' Well the Blaze Pokemon certainly had one thing over the glorified gecko that was Sceptile; he was clearly more well-mannered than the Hoenn starter that wasn't present.
Ally smiled softly, noticing Landors and Knight interacting with each other. "Looks like they've hit it off." Her soft smile turned into a light laugh when Calvin began to recount his first time seeing a Trainer use a Sealed Ball in battle.
"I'm sure it wasn't that bad~." Emerging from the kitchen, she handed the Castle Duke a burgundy-colored ceramic mug, steaming with freshly-brewed Earl Grey tea. "I'm afraid I don't have any fine china, so the mug'll hafta do."

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Usually, most people assumed that starters from the same region, or even from different regions, had rivalries, and while they were often proved right, Knight was finding Landors to be a very cordial Swampert indeed. "[So, what kind of Swampert are you? Do you tank or are you an all-out attacker? I've met both, you see.]" Calvin meanwhile, smiled over the rim of the mug of tea at Ally. "Fine china is for old ladies and antique collectors. Mugs are by far the better cup. And as for the Sealed Ball, I thought they'd thrown a police flashbang." He took a sip of his tea. "That they sent out a Growlithe didn't help matters. I'm quite sure raids are carried out in a similar way." ┗━━━━━━━━━┛
