Battle Arcade  DESCRIPTION -Here, you battle seven Trainers consecutively in a knock-out, 3 vs 3 lay-out, much like the Battle Tower. Upon entering, the player's Pokémon will be seen on the Game Board. The foe's Pokémon will also be seen when they enter the field. Before a battle begins, you have to play the game board to determine the condition of the battle. The game board is a massive roulette machine that will scroll quickly through a grid of small boxes, known as Events. Landing on a black box affects the player while landing on a red box affects the foe. Gray boxes, on the other hand, affect both foes. Each event will have a different effect; some may lower the opponent's HP, poison the opponent's Pokémon, or speed up the game board. The choice may affect the player's Pokémon, the opponent's, or even the field. The board may land on status ailments, weather changes, level changes, berries and more. It may even land on nothing. After winning a battle, your Pokémon will be healed completely, and you will have the option to continue, rest, retire, or get their most recent battle recorded, if you're in to that sort of thing. After three rounds, or twenty trainers, the Arcade Star, Ally Mirrera, will most likely challenge you to a battle. Keep in mind that she is subject to the same rules you are - her Pokemon are affected by the game board just as yours are. Win, and you win bucket-loads of BP. Lose, and you walk away with a kick to the ego. LOCATION -The Battle Arcade is the south-eastern facility. PEOPLE - Use the board or die, is the Arcade's unofficial motto. RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST - ?: - Are you kidding? The whole place is a place of interest, and every battle an event! MYTH/LORE - What do you mean, Scyther can't learn Fly?!

 ~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- Ally descended the stairs that led into her facility, the Battle Arcade; Landors was trooping along on his hind legs beside her.
"..." Her reddish-brown eyes narrowed slightly as she heard the din of what could only be a few dozen Trainers coming from the facility's main room. "Looks like we've got some work ahead of us, Landors." She tucked a few strand of raven-colored hair behind her ear.
The Mud Fish nodded, cracking the knuckles of his three-fingered, cobalt-colored palms. 'SwampertSwamp-Swampert.' He was more than ready to go(as were Yusei and Robbi probably, had they been out of their respective PokeBalls).
The automatic doors opening with a soft 'whoosh~' sound, Brain and Mud Fish were greeted with a small(understatement, much?) group of Trainers, and an attendant who quickly darted in their direction. "Lemme guess," Ally said as the attendant drew closer. "Every one'a them is waitin' to challenge me?" This was met with a quick nod. "...Alright." She sighed. "Get the quick healing station online in the back." She stepped onto the battlefield, said field lighting up almost instantaneously. "I have a feeling I'm gonna need it..." She grabbed Robbi's Luxury Ball from her belt, then maximized it...

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- After what seemed like hours on end, the veritable stream of challengers waiting to battle everyone's 'favorite' raven-haired Brain had finally come to a stand-still. The Trainers that Ally had defeated - along with Landors, Robbi, and Yusei - had resumed their journeys throughout Johto(and possibly Kanto), to strengthen up their teams in the hope of a possible re-match with the Arcade Star.
Ally herself - in the mean time - took the lull in activity at her facility to get some well-deserved training in for her pokemon, specifically Ghido. 'If he has two heads now,' she thought to herself. 'I wonder what his final form's gonna look like...'
Ghido? He was learning from Yusei - Ally's Tyranitar - how to perfect another Dark-type move of his, Crunch.
'Ty~yaah!' The Armor Pokemon opened his toothy mouth wide, then all but snapped it shut as an illusionary pair of menacing teeth manifested itself, veering straight towards Levi.
Ghido was watching intently, Robbi sitting to his side. 'Zwei~' 'Lous~' If Ghido's eyes were visible, they'd probably be widened as he saw how his fellow Dark-type pokemon performed the move.
Landors and Xander, while this was going on, were getting a bit of 'friendly' sparring out of their system. Nothing like battling a friend to see where one has room to grow, right?

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ It had been a slow day at the Battle Castle - only one challenger had come in, and when Calvin discovered he'd wanted to use Pokemon cards instead of of actual Pokemon, he'd sent him running from the Castle with his arse on fire. The Duke had been on the verge of falling asleep when a small, pager-like device on his desk had gone off, the second light from the top going on - meaning Ally had finished battling. Calvin had quickly decided to go and visit his Battle Frontier compatriot before he fell asleep - Templar would probably chew his cloak while he was sleeping again.

Calvin debated on knocking on the Arcade's front door, his manners telling him that it was only polite, whereas the practical side of him was telling him that Ally wouldn't be able to hear it and he might as well just go in. In the end, though, the gentleman in him won out, and he rapped the door three times before taking a step back in line with Templar, King and Queen. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- 'Bre?' Robbi's long, pointed ears twitched ever-so-slightly for a moment. 'Umbreon...' Frowning slightly, she cast her bright-red gaze towards the Arcade entrance.
"Hn?" Ally - who was otherwise occupied by watching Yusei and Landors spar(more details @ 11) - walked up behind her Umbreon. "What is it, Robbi?"
She nodded towards the facility's entrance. 'BreUmbreon.' Without another word, Robbi took off towards the (automatic)front doors of the Battle Arcade.
"...!" Ally raised a thin black eyebrow in confusion. "You two stay here." She glanced over her shoulder at Yusei and Landors.
The two nodded in agreement. 'Swamp.' 'TyaahYaah.'
"Robbi, get back here!" Ally sprinted up the stairs leading to the entrance of her Arcade...

...to come upon the sight of her Umbreon, of all the things she's done, scratching at the automatic door. 'Um~bre.' About four figures could be made out on the other side of the frosted glass doors.
"This is what you're goin' on about?" A thin eyebrow continuing to be quirked in confusion, Ally slammed a palm onto the button, causing the doors to open with a quick 'swoosh~'; the quick motion of the doors opening caused some of her raven-colored hair to fan out behind her.
Who was on the other side certainly surprised her.
"...Hey, Calvin." She waved slightly.
Robbi settled for nodding in greeting to Calvin's three pokemon - Templar, King, and Queen. 'Umbreon.'
"Slow day at the Castle?" Chuckling under her breath, Ally crossed her arms over her chest as she awaited Calvin's answer.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Calvin bowed lightly as Ally made her appearance - his old-fashioned habits were conspicuous, but to try and break them would be like asking Devyn or Lance to give up hair gel; they'd sooner insult Red's mother. Templar, King and Queen all returned Robbi's nod, Templar in particular glad to spot another Dark-type, before turning their attention back to the two trainers.
"I think it'd be fairer to say only a coma would be less boring. So, when I saw you had finished off the last of your challengers, I headed over - if that's all right with you, of course." The Duke's crystal blue eyes blinked from behind their blond curtain. "I could always try playing fetch with Templar. But he usually ends up swallowing whatever I throw." The golden Mightyena rolled his eyes, tail whacking Calvin in the leg as he padded into the Arcade, old age bestowing him with an arrogance that was both splendid and amusing to behold. It was cold outside, dammit, and his fur wasn't as thick as it used to be - he wasn't going to wait for the pretty human lady to let his trainer in. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "Uhmm..." She blinked a few times. "...Sure." Spinning on her (pointed)heels, she waved for Calvin to follow her into the Arcade. "I was gettin' some training in for Ghido."
'Umbreon.' Robbi padded along a few steps behind Templar, a fellow Dark-type(besides Yusei, Ghido, and Tia) a welcome sight.
"Wonder if the Plateau is just as boring..." Chuckling to herself, Ally paused half-way down the steps that led to the Arcade's main room. "D'you want anything, Calvin?"

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Calvin followed on after Ally, easily catching up to her thanks to his longer legs, and was about to ask who Ghido was when she asked him if he wanted anything. He blinked. "World peace, whirled peas and a piano to fall on Whitney. But that's by the by. I'm all right, thank you." Templar shook his head at his trainer's words - he couldn't have asked for some chocolate or sherbet for his faithful Mightyena, could he? He turned his golden, shaggy head to Robbi, eyes curious. "[Where does your human keep her confectionery?]" He thought for a moment about telling her he had diabetes, in an attempt to convince her of his need for sugar, but thought better of it. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "She's not that bad~." Ally waved a hand dismissively, one of the few people in Johto that could mildly tolerate the pink-haired former Gym Leader. "Altho' I did hear that she left Mahogany a while back..." If only she knew...
'BreUmbreon(confectionery)?' Robbi quirked a thin, almost invisible eyebrow. 'UmbreonBre, BreUmbre(there's a few back rooms off the main battle room here).' She nodded towards the (much larger)automatic doors that led to the Arcade's main room. 'Umbreon(just through there; door should be towards the left).'
"...Wait." She pulled a decorated PokeBall from her belt(given the somewhat dim lighting in the Arcade, Calvin probably couldn't see, but said Ball was adorned with a blue flame Seal). "You haven't met Ghido yet, have you?"
'BreUmbreon(watch out for Landors and Yusei).' An amused glint appeared in Robbi's bright-red eyes as she entered the Arcade's main room first.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "I haven't, no - I get the feeling I'm about to, though; funny that." Calvin smiled at Ally, the comment absent of malice because of the way he delivered the words, and his eyes, acutely adjusted to dim lighting thanks to the amount of time he spent foraging in dungeons and basements, fixed on the Ball Ally held in her hand. Templar, meanwhile growled his thanks to Robbi before heading towards the doors the Umbreon had indicated - quickly figuring out how to operate them, he was through and on his way, perhaps arrogantly believing that, whoever Landors and Yusei were, he could handle them; age came with experience, after all. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- "Well, then." Ally pressed the small white button on the front of the PokeBall, watching the flair of the blue flames take form. "I was in the Safari Zone a while ago, and this guy named Alistair just popped in outta nowhere." The white flash of light that emerged began to take the shape of something with two heads...but wasn't a Doduo. "He said that I have a few pseudo-legends of my own, and that he'd get along with 'em just fine."
As she finished talking the white light(and the added flair of blue flames) faded, revealing the Arcade Star's Unova-native pokemon...her Zweilous, Ghido. 'Zwei!' 'Lous!' Both of Ghido's heads looked up at Calvin, grinning inanely.
"He seems t'like Landors a lot." She chuckled, running a hand through her raven-colored bangs. "Looks up to 'im like an older brother."
Almost as if on cue, Ghido quickly darted into the main room of the Arcade, intent on finding the Mud Fish. 'Zwei~' '~Lous!' He was fun to play with, as far as he was concerned.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ Calvin watched with no small amount of interest as Ghido materialized, oohing and aahing in all the right places as he saw the pseudo-legend-in-the-making materialize. "A Zweilous, right? Alistair's a good friend of mine - we met just after the Goldenrod battle, and when he told me he came from Unova, we hit things off."
He smiled as Ghido scampered off in search of Ally's Swampert - Count had been rather like that when he was young, always scurrying off after King or Queen . . . he'd outgrown it by now, of course, but neither of the starters were about to let him forget it. Calvin swapped out Rook for his own Unova Pokemon, the standard Poke Ball belying the thoroughly nonstandard contents. With a throw and a flash, Darknut had been released, the Shubarugo examining his surroundings with typical knightly aplomb, bowing lowly to Ally before looking to Calvin for orders. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- Ally couldn't help but give Darknut a small curtsy as he bowed at her. "It's nice to meet you, Darknut."Standing back up to her full height, she proceeded to address Calvin.
"I think Ghido's gettin' ready to evolve soon." She nodded slightly, as if to confirm what she just said. "I took a few days to myself, t'look up some'a these Unova-native pokemon - Ghido's gonna evolve into some three-headed dragon named Hydro-something."
Like the rest of Calvin's pokemon(that were out), Robbi gave Darknut a small nod in greeting. 'Umbreon.' After making sure that Templar had found the back-rooms of the Arcade just fine, she had re-joined her master on the steps leading down to the main room of the facility.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ "Hydreigon - about as powerful as a Salamence, and just as hard to tame. It'd be a miracle if you can get Ghido to behave once he evolves - apparently the three heads never agree with each other." Calvin thought Ally probably knew all of this, but it was better to be sure - he'd heard of even the strongest dragon tamers having trouble with the Unova Dragon-types.
Templar, meanwhile, had hit the jackpot - box upon box of chocolate and sherbet. His eyes were practically shimmering with happiness as he knocked down the first box of lemon sherbet, and then the second box of apple, and the third of strawberry . . . when he emerged from the pantry five minutes later, his coat was covered in a rainbow of sherbet, and his expression more akin to that of a spaced-out hippie than a middle-aged Mightyena. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

~^~ Ally Mirrera ~^~ -Frontier Brain, Battle Arcade- Hydreigon, eh? And apparently whatever it looked like, it had three heads. "At least he'll have someone in his weight class with Anastacia(her own Salamence)." She fingered the simple, un-adorned Great Ball on her belt, said Ball containing the blue Dragon Pokemon. "She's a bit rough on Xander(her Dragonite), so when Ghido evolves, I'm sure they'll play nice with each oth--" She was cut off by a ruckus coming from the main room of the Arcade, followed by the automatic doors leading to it 'swoosh~!'ing open.
What came out of the doors surprised her. 'Swampwert-Swamp!?' It was Landors, and he seemed to be being chased by...
...what could only be described as an overly-affectionate, three-headed dragon. 'Dreiaaghh~!! <3' Ghido's central head was grinning happily, while his other two - which also served as his hands, apparently - were snapping at the air that the Mud Fish was in moments before.
"...Yep, that's still Ghido." Ally chuckled to herself.
Robbi - who was standing next to her - face-palmed, smacking herself in the forehead with one of her front paws. 'Umbreon~.' If Ghido was like this, she hoped that this 'Tia(Ally's Sharpedo)' would be somewhat tamer compared to him.
