"Technically it's my property, but since I'm still in school, I have no time to fix what's inside..." Luka said, wincing from the memories of all that had happened in the small house---- her sudden death, her father's reaction. He'd been exposed as less than human in this house, after being stabbed through the stomach with a bayonet, and recovering within a few minutes of agony. There were blood stains on the wall, the floor and the table. He hoped that she wouldn't want to go in, as none of the other reincarnations had ever seen this house, and he'd no idea what would happen.

Just what I didn't want to happen.... Luka thought to himself, with a sigh as he was dragged into the building. "Just remember, you wanted to see it," he said, opening the door for her. Memories flashed into his mind and he winced, remembering the pain, the blood that still stained the wood.

Ariane's eyes widened, and her mouth fell open a little. "What... happened?" But for some reason she didnt need to ask. She looked at him. Then at the blood. Then at him again. "This..... is yours?" She pointed at the blood.

Lukas shrugged, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "It doesn't matter, I lived," he said. "Not that I'll ever die," Luka muttered under his breath, barely audible to himself. He shook off the gloom and looked at her with a large grin. "I told you it needed to be fixed, didn't I?"

Ariane frowned, calculating in her head. "But.... how? How did you live when you lost so much blood. What happened?" She looked at him, really confused.

"I had a fiance, and she died, her father got pissed because he thought I killed her-----and," he took a deep breath, trying to keep his voice even. "then he stabbed me, with a bayonet, because I wouldn't confess to a crime I never committed, and because of that, I've lost my home, the girl I loved, and any chance at living a normal life I'd ever had." Luka hid his face with his bangs, feeling tears biting at his eyes. "And because I'm not quite right, I lived. She did too, in a way---but she doesn't remember me." He was barely maintaining his voice, his chest and throat tightening up as he sunk down to the floor, knees to his chest, hands over his head. He hated this, he always had-----having the love of your life right in front of you, and not having them know how much it hurt to see them oblivious to the past,----it was punishment far worse than that of hell.

Ariane sits down in the floor beside him. "Why dont you tell her?" She whispered. "Dont you think she'll understand? If she loved you, she has to remember you."

Lukas laughed, though it sounded more like a high pitched sob muffled by his jeans. "What am I supposed to do, walk up to her and say that we used to be lovers a long time ago but then she died and was reborn and that she needs to remember now before I go insane?" He was staring at her now, his tear-filled blue eyes filled with an expression of If that worked, you wouldn't be giving me advice. He wiped away the tears that were running down his cheek, glad that, due to his species, he stayed the same pale color in his face instead of blotching up.

Ariane scooted closer to him, and wrapped her arms around him. "Luka...." She whispered. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. She lost all feeling in her body, and she fell limp into his arms. "I.... I remember."

"No," Lukas growled. "No, I won't loose you this early, not in one day. Not after being here for all this time-----whatever you feel, keep it to yourself." His teeth were gritted against the temptation to scream, the temptation to curse all that was for trying to take her away again, to destroy all evidence that he'd ever existed on this earth. "Don't you dare play these games, you son of b***h----you take my wings from me, you make me suffer, and now you're trying to take it all from me? Only to leave me here, to grieve because you----You, the one who is supposed to be our pure and holy savior,---- have some sick envy of your creations?" He screamed it at the sky, where he'd once lived before any of this happened. Rage was foreign to him, the pain in his chest turning to a burning blood lust that seemed unending.
But it faded quickly, turning into only glee as he remembered that he had won, Ariane had remembered him---- "Araine, I'm sorry, you shouldn't have to be caught up in all this------ I--," he paused, looking away from her. "I love you, Ariane, no matter what name you take, who they disguise you as---- I will love you, forevermore." His heart ached, but he was-----he was happy.

Ariane wrapped her arms around him, "Luka, I love you too." She looked around, anticipating it to start. She should die, she knew she would. She usually didnt last long after she remembered. But..... she was still here.

"No, you can't----," Lukas said, standing up. "You don't love me. It is a lie," he took the bayonet off of the wall, the gun having been taken long ago by it's owner, and held it up. "If not, then surely I will not be able to bleed out," Lukas said, plunging the blade into his chest, where his heart should be.

Ariane screamed, "What the hell are you doing?!" She grabbed the bayonet and flung it across the room. "Why would I lie to you? Why the hell would I lie to you?" As she screamed, she cried. "What is wrong with you?!"

"This is the twelfth time you've told me, and every time before, you died! But this time? This time? You must be lying to me, because you're still alive, and I----!" Lukas screamed, then stopped, face draining of all color. "I can't feel anything," he said quietly, as he looked down at his chest, finding nothing, where there should have been blood, there was only a small puncture in his clothing. He poked at his wound, which was already beginning to seal itself over, leaving only a small scar.
