"You don't seem to care for them much," Rhosyn observed at she fumbled with a compass. She glanced at it, then took up her own paddle. "Port's that way," she informed the mage. "Just in case that matters. I don't know how your spell works."

((Would've tried to write more, but I'm on a tight schedule tonight.))

"Why would I care for such unskilled and narrow minded mages that fallow only the most simple and basic school of magic," he said before dipping his oar into the water. Kazito looked in the direction she pointed and shrugged, "I've studded all schools of magic, but a teleportation spell for multiple people would take time to cast and we would draw attention to ourselves," with a sigh he began to row, "sadly at times magic has no use and is nothing more than a burden."

(( Hey tight schedules are understandable around this time of the year, wish I had one ironically as odd as that might sound 0.o; ))

Rhosyn didn’t respond, but considered Kazito's words in silence. She looked out at the calmly turning waters, growing black with distance. The bright flames dancing on the ships behind them blotted out all but the brightest stars in the night sky. There was no moon.

((Time skip? Also, I made an OoC thread, so we can all talk and plan together.))

CHAPTER 2
__________________________________________________________

As the night wore and dusk broke, the ocean became shrouded in fog. All means of visibility ceased, and the three were left to float perilously into the unknown. There was no sign of life; only the deep, dark waters, sloshing sluggishly around them, and the constant silver shroud impeding their movement.

All was quiet. That is, until the half-elf awoke...

"Guuuuuuhhhh...."
Fyvre flopped anxiously around, swinging her arms listlessly into the dense air. "Glaaarrrrghhh...." She groaned again, flipping over on to her other side.

So things had been for the last four hours. The half-elf, who said it was because of hunger but they all knew it was boredom, was unable to keep still or keep quiet for very long.
"Can we eat now?" She asked, once again, staring suggestively at their survival pack. Had they not been there to prevent her, they would already have been without any edibles.

"You know what, lets just crack open that lil bugger and go nuts," he said before peering down on the object being spoken of. Shortly after the fact he began with thoughts of what could be in the container, "I wonder what they have stuffed away in that thing anyways," he said arms crossed across his chest with a look a deep thought, as he analyzed the container.

"Crackers, mostly, maybe some jerky. The sort of thing that doesn't go bad for a long time." Rhosyn bent and picked up the pack. "We need to ration it carefully so it'll last. It took us a day and half the night to get out here, so it would take us about three times that long to get back to port--if we were constantly rowing. However, with this fog...well, we could be out here for weeks. Without magic, that is." Rhosyn looked pointedly at the mage. "How long will your teleportation spell take? Because this fog won't lift for another three hours, at least. No one's going to find us for a while."

Kazito noticeably grimaced at the thought of how long they could have been just sitting where they have just been found, "Well at least something is better than nothing anyways," He looked through a large book chained to his side, seemingly ignoring her question about his spell. After rummaging through his sack a look of displeasure came to him, "It would have taken about ten minutes for the casting of such a spell where the needed materials not lost along with our former transportation."

"Gack!" Fyvre made a noise, rubbing both hands through her hair roughly. She looked remotely like a hamster. "Aint none of us friends with Poseidon either--this boat could be floatin' in any direction, for any distance. We won't know which way's the CONTINENT much less port." The half-elf grimly prophesied, her face scrunched and pouting. For a moment, they were surrounded by dead silence. And then, suddenly, Fyvre broke through.
"Well, we're doomed. I'm gonna GO SWIMMING!"

Quickly shedding everything save a sleeveless dark stop and knee breeches, Fyvre cast a friendly smile to the air and, balancing perfectly on the edge so as to not disturb the boat too much, gracefully disappeared into the peaceful, dark waves. She resurfaced a few moments later, glowing and grinning. "Don't go dying without me, got it?"

"Fyvre's right," Rhosyn admitted, leaning back. The motion just happened to emphasis her very large chest. "We can't do anything productive, so we might as well...play." She winked at Kazito. Despite her playful manner, something about her eyes suggested that her mind was elsewhere entirely. Her gaze wandered off to the foggy water.

"Play you say," Kazito smirked with a raised eyebrow, trying not to show too much interest though his wondering eyes didn't do him good in this matter. With a stretch he leaned back in the boat, "least we can all have a positive look out on this and enjoy ourselves."

Fyvre acted like she was choking in disgust, and then slipped underwater.

An amused smile spread on Rhosyn's face, and her distraction dissolved. "Come now, don't be shy!" she called once Fyvre emerged. "I know you liked it last night!"

Bringing a hand to his mouth Kazito bit down on a knuckle to avoid bursting out laughing, "I would hope my friend like it, if not I'd gladly switch place," he said with a sly grin.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 02, 2011 10:48 am

"Your NOSE is gonna switch places with your FOREHEAD if you don't shut up!" Fyvre shouted at Kazito with a raised fist. And then, she was unnaturally yanked underwater, mouth caught agape in surprise.

The others had little time to react to this. A second later, the boat was being tossed violently, careening over into the slow black waves.
