Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "I'm willing to bet your aftershave is what's leading them to us." He peered down at their shoes, both caked in mud from the island outside. "Or it could be the mud, that works too. Now . . . Geronimo!" With that, Jackson rugby-tackled the nearest guard, hitting him with a solid right to the nose - whilst the rest of the guards moved in to press their advantage, Jackson thumbed three of the Poke Balls on his belt, releasing Callie, Spike and Tumbler. Quickly seeing that her trainer was in danger, Tumbler charged in to protect Jackson, whilst Callie began to wreaking absolute mayhem on the guards, all eighty of her tentacles swiping and grabbing at the men, sending swathes of them flying or flattening them - Spike, meanwhile, was playing 'claw machine', where he grabbed a guard with Psychic, brought them up into the air, then dropped them on top of their fellows for a fun dogpile effect. "13!"

“ Isn't battling trainers why we became frontier brains? ” “ No, battling pokemon is why we became frontier brains. Battling trainers is what makes us miserable. ”
"21!" Khan shouted as Loki took down a Manetric with a combination of Payback. Dodging a punch, Khan countered by picking up Jester and throwing him at a guard, Sucker Punching him across the face. "Thatta' boy! Give him another!" It would've been highly amusing if it weren't for the fact that the guard was screaming in terror as the Longbody pokemon went home on his face. However, a few guards, thinking they were intelligent, decided to all attack at once. Taking their opening, they charged at Khan right as he was shouting at Jackson
"Jackson, how are you doing on you--mph!" Khan was cut off by the sudden dog pile of the four gurads and their pokemon. Struggling, the Tower Tycoon managed to pick out Farad's Heavy Ball and release the Metagross in the nick of time. The Metagross, upon its release, new what it had to do. Tucking its legs into its core, it spun rapidly sending the offenders spiraling on their backs, then it proceeded to punch every single one of them in rapid succession. "Good job, Farad...25!" Khan said as he patted the Metagross on its "head". Khan looked around him, most of the guards and their pokemon were on the ground groaning. He wondered how Jackson was doing, the gym leader must have been having just as much fun as he was.

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "Love your technique!" With that, Jackson slammed a guard into the ground, delivering a flying elbow drop into the man's stomach in order to make sure he wouldn't be getting up again. Tumbler was quite happily slapping one particularly hapless guard senseless, while Spike was now acting out a sort of Newtwon's cradle with the guards who thought they were allowed to get back up. Callie? Well, she'd taken to spinning like a top through the guards, sending them flying into walls and beams with wild abandon - it took Jackson a few moments to total them all up. "25!" With that shout, things suddenly went silent. Most of the guards had been taken down - save one.

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "Well, I could try and argue that I put that pipe there, but not even Bruce Wayne would plan for something like that." Jackson shook his head, grinning and on the verge of breaking into laughter as he joined Khan, prodding the man's stomach - to no reaction. The Gym Leader recalled Callie, Spike and Tumbler, thanking them for their help (they looked distinctly smug about their role in the battle, having been running a tally of their own) as he did so. "He's out all right. Come on, we'd best get moving, or the red shirts'll try and come at us again."

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "I doubt Whitney would believe me if I told her I slip an entire bottle's worth of laxative in her food every time I see her." With that slightly disturbing thought, Jackson followed on after Khan, figuring the Frontier Brain had a better idea of where they could find what they needed to get going. "What, a handy shed marked 'Smuggler Vessel Spare Parts, No Key Required, No Guards, Just Stroll In And Take Them'? I forgot this was a video game and not reality."

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "Ours not to reason why, ours is but to run the hell away from the people who'd quite like to shoot us. Grab the parts we need and let's go." While Khan saw to that (given he'd claimed to have owned the Manta at one point, there were few people better qualified to find spares for it), Jackson had a look around, his heavy boots eventually finding water. The Gym Leader's eyebrows furrowed, and he looked down, finding a puddle of water, which seemed to have originated from . . . well, whatever was behind crates containing what he could only presume was industrial machinery, given how large they were. Stepping past them, he stopped dead. An aquaplane. "A deHavilland Canada DHC-3, I think . . . the Otter." He quickly realized not only that he was talking to himself, but this would be the perfect way to rendezvous with the Manta. "Khan! Khan, have a look at this!"

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "Believe it or not, I do. What kind of Water-type Gym Leader would I be if I couldn't fly a seaplane? I'll get in and start her up, you load up the floats - it'll impair the performance a bit, but nothing a bit of Psychic elbow grease can't make up for." With that, Jackson jumped from the launch onto one of the floats, soon seated in the cockpit - luckily, the last pilot had been kind enough to leave the keys in the ignition, and within moments, the propeller was up and running. Vakarian began running through as many pre-flight checks as he could manage before Khan finished loading up.

"Alright, that's the last of the stuff!" Khan shouted over to the cockpit as Farad kept most of the parts floating with its psychic abilities. If the Metagross didn't float the parts with its telepathic talents chances are the airplane would sink where it floated. Hell, it probably wouldn't even be able to move. "Well, Jackson, let's show off your useful talents, eh?" The Tower Tycoon commented with a pat on the Goldenrod Gym Leader's back. Loki paced around nervously on the seaplane. The constant sea-motion was a bit offsetting to the Umbreon.
"Better hurry up, Jackson, we got company..." Khan shouted as he fired a few rounds at the guards. The black-clad men quickly dodged the fired rounds, deftly finding cover and other debris to hide behind. However, the former Team Snagum member felt he could make out what seemed to be a machine gun in the distance...

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Jackson didn't need to be told twice - he gunned the seaplane, the floats cutting swathes through the water as the Otter shot out of its dock and into the air, though Jackson made sure to keep it below a certain altitude. Not only would the added weight make high-flying a near-impossibility, but it would also make spotting the Manta a harder job than it needed to be. "All right, we've got plenty of fuel, ailerons are functioning perfectly - we aren't going to be ditching into the sea any time soon. . . now we just need to find Hans and Stringy."

"s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t..." Khan whispered to himself as he heard the bullets pinging against the metal exterior of the plane. "Uhhh, Jackson? Can you get us any higher? Since those machine guns don't look friendly whatsoever." "Fedora", as Jackson coined it, poked his head out of the loading bay to take a look at what was going on down below. The Tower Tycoon quickly ducked his head back inside the plane as a stray round ricocheted near his ear. Loki made a barking motion with his mouth, but no voice came out. Khan petted the Umbreon.
"Don't worry. I'll be okay, kiddo. No need to always look over me." Loki simply sat down and stared at its trainer, staring skeptically at his face before licking him and prancing over to the cockpit, where it was safe. Farad continued to hold the parts with his psychic powers as the "Otter" flew towards the Manta. Khan strapped himself in on a seat, waiting anxiously for the plane to get to the Manta. The sound of glancing shots could still be heard from the inside of the airplane, which was an unsettling sound.

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "No-one likes a backseat pilot. Your Metagross has the intelligence of a supercomputer and an electromagnetic body - would it be beyond his capabilities to erect, oh, I don't know, a shield?" Grumbling, Jackson nonetheless complied, pulling just out of range of the firearms, soon spotting the Manta now that he didn't have to worry about a hole appearing in the side of his head. With no warning, he sent the plane down into a dive, hoping that the maneuver would confound those who'd like to see them explode over the Islands - and it did, the gunners unable to keep up with the plane as it very nearly crashed into the sea, the only thing keeping the Otter up being Jackson's quick reactions. Moments later, they were within spitting distance of the Manta . . .
