Ooooo, new weapons? Thought Calenel as she got up from her seat. I wonder if I'll get a bow an arrow of some kind? That would make me very happy. Calenel smiled as she walked with the others to get their weapons.

Karlee smiled and silently clapped her hands together. She'd always loved new weapons, they always meant new things to take a part and study. Of course, she always did have to put them back together, but that was to be expected. Still, she couldn't wait to get her hands and tools on them.
Glancing around the room, she could tell she wasn't the only person interested with the new 'toys,' as Syao put it. He was excited, that was for sure. Cal looked happy, as did Rowen and could it be that silent and stoic Robin seemed interested as well.
It was a rare sight to see him interested in anything, let alone change his facial expression or speak. Through her entire time working with him, she believed she'd only heard his voice but a few times and only when it was necessary. He was cute, but definately not relationship material.
Rowin was a cutie too and she found him to be interesting. She couldn't see anything happening with him though. He was fun, but more along the lines of friend fun. Besides, he was way too into his loud music. Karlee was certain he'd be deaf before too long and what girl really wants to shout to be heard.
Then there was their leader, Syao. He was attractive, but she could never picture herself with him no matter how hard she may try. Once again, he was just a friend or a brother perhaps, but nothing more. It would be just to ackward as anything else.
Karlee sighed inwardly. She loved mechanics, but she need more than just some grease and tools. Truth be told, she actually thought the military would be a good place to meet some guys. That was half the reason she joined, but sadly, there just didn't seem to be anyone here that would fit the bill. Ah well, who needs to have a relationship right now, when you're about to go explore new land.

((alright, time for about everyone to get their own little NPC))
Syaoran lead them to a ship hanger which had been emptied to allow them a greater area for combat practice. If you looked around oyu'd see it was a standard military hanger, the walls were a dull grey and florescient lights hung from the ceiling. The hanger doors were opened and a large area of land opened up for yet more room, it was apaprent that these weapons were powerful from the begining.
"Alright, all of you report to that table over there" Syaoran said, motioning to a table which had what seemed like hundreds of scientists standing around it. He grabbed Karlee's arm gently and kept her from going over there. "I wanted to make sure you don't get your hopes up Karlee, you arn't nearly as high in the ranks due to combat as the rest of us... They've opted against letting you receive one of the new systems, but are chargeing you with maintaining them and are giving you a set of the best tools money can buy. Along with manuals on the weapons of course"

Calenel walked over to the table. "Ummm, excuse me can I get to the weapons please... Oh." Calenel stopped and looked into the eyes of a very cute scientist. He smiled at her. "I'm sorry ma'ma, but you need to wait until everyone gets here and until orders have been made for you to look at the weapons." Calenel listened very carefully, but was more staring into the scientist's eyes. Calenel blushed, "Oh, I'm sooo sorry. I'll just wait over here then." She waited by the scientist's side until the rest of the crew came and Syao gave the orders to look at the weapons.

Karlee nearly jumped and squealed with delight, but refrained from doing so. It would be improper and disrespectful, but she smiled her widest to show her joy. "Thank you, Syao. I promise I won't let you down. And just between you and me sir, I'm not much for killing. Besides, I'm a horrid shot. I'm actually relieved that I don't have to use one, but yay, new tools."
