"It can get boring without proper company." He grinned and patted her hand, implying that she was great company for this. "Maybe if we go to this school we can have a regular tea time since you like it so much!" he giggled.

"I find mad scientists fascinating!" He grinned wide. "Is yours nice?" He'd never met a creation before and he didn't want to talk about Syb like she was just a science project of someone else's because she was much more than that.

"I've met one or two at parties but it seems some are meaner than others." He recalled one particular scientist at a party who had an igor servant that seemed very mistreated. Muka didn't judge really because the igor seemed to expect that treatment, but he couldn't imagine anyone treating Sybaline like that.

Maritess never really sat down, having no lower body made such a feat impossible. Instead she hovered, large, leather wings flapping silently to keep her at the approximate level should she be sitting. She gave the lightning dragon a shy smile when he arrived with her order. When she looked down at the plate, a pale hand covered her mouth as she giggled at the arrangement of the food. She hadn't thought of arranging it into a face, and it wasn't off-putting in anyway. After all, most undead did eat things with faces.

"Clever presentation," she praised. "And it's Maritess, actually. But nearly everyone calls me Tess. Pleasure to meet you, Aksaja. Is this usually what happens in a host club?" she asked, glancing over at the other students having tea and eating the prepared food.

"Really? Oh, I want to talk to her!" Syb said quietly, getting excited. "Oh, but what if she doesn't want to talk? She might be waiting for someone--it could be a romantic meeting--" Her eyes went large and dreamy. "Oh, how romantic, don't you think this would be the perfect place for a romantic meeting, Muka? A meeting over tea, looking into one another's eyes, sipping tea as gentle music plays in the background--"

And clearly she had gotten completely off topic and it was up to Muka to approach the student.

"Really? Really?" Syb asked, almost jumping she was so excited. "Oh, I want to help you so badly! What type of girl do you like? Do you want someone tall and exotic to match you? Or someone petite and delicate to made you look even more exotic?" she asked, digging through her pockets and pulling out a ragged looking notebook. "Do you have a preference in species? Oh! I know! What about personalities? Do you like someone strong and classy or--"

Having had her fun over at Desu-chan and Usa-pyon's game booth for the day, Ys wandered over to the stately looking area set aside for the Host Club. It was not the usual sort of place she would normally be attracted to, but her curiosity had won her over to the neatly arranged tables and elegant decorations. As she took in the scene before her, she noted just how different it was from what she was used to at home among the other Deep Ones, who tended toward the expansive and ramshackle, with just the right amount of decay rather than the beribboned sophistication of this booth. She felt a bit ungainly and out of place, but everyone had been so nice at this school so far that she took courage from that. Besides, maybe she would get to meet some of her future classmates here.

Realizing that she must look a bit silly standing there gawking at everything, she picked an unoccupied chair at an empty table and settled herself in it. She tried not to appear too interested in the snatches of conversations she caught from the others in the area, but her eavesdropping was not helping her to make much sense of the place anyway. What exactly was a Host Club? A few bubbles trailed out of her mouth as she belated realized that she'd never heard of such a thing. Filtering through her limited knowledge of hosts, she decided it was probably something for parasites to find hosts to feed on. As she absently fiddled with the tablecloth, she weighed the pros and cons of picking up some kind of parasite and decided that most things one could encounter on land probably wouldn't survive her saltwater home anyway, but might leave an impressive scar to impress other monsters with if she was lucky.

"Oh! Um, can I get the blood tea and the--the-- pumpkin tart, please?" Syb said eagerly. "Oh, I want to try all of them, but I don't dare. You will tell me if the ghost tea is good, won't you?" she asked Muka eagerly. "And I would love to study a romantic couple! I really thought that Ash and Cat were something more than just friends, but they said they weren't..." She frowned, clearly pouting. "But I think they would make a wonderful couple, don't you? Friends to lovers, it's so romantic!"

"Thank you." Muka gave his .. errr.. charming grin and looked down at his plate curiously. The snacks were designed thoughtfully and looked delicious.

"I know it isn't proper," he beamed at Syb and lifted his teacup, "But lets toast our tea to meeting one another. And this place. And all our new friends.. and hopes we get in here one day.. AND STAYING IN TOUCH." He said them all right after one another, like a sentence that never ended. With a hysterical giggle he clinked cups with Syb and took a sip. The tea was warm and deliciously musty. Just like a ghost!

"WONDERFUL!" The strix was excited and picked up a lady finger to munch on. He gnashed it between his teeth, crumbs seeming to be a problem for him, and tilted his head all the way back when it came time to swallow. "So good."
