Flora frowned at him, "I...I don't have to do it if y-you don't want me too..." She stammered slightly, "I-I was j-just worried about you." The vixen blushed mortified. She had tried so hard not to allow her shyer nature get the best of her, but it was becoming to much for her.
"What?!" Flora gaped at the vixen across the room, "G-Girlfriend?" She faltered to the ground, "N-No..." She shook her head. "Your father offered me food....and kindness....that was all..."

Auruum shook his head "no i just met her...."he shouted his face now red and orange. Not that he would mind. Flora was like Rinko .Gentle, and caring. Yet wirhout his former mates stubborn streak.
"Well Ill admit having flora as a mate would take some stress off all of us. And I could be there when the guy who abandoned her shows his face again..." Aurum was getting worked up thinking about it.

Flora couldn't hide the blush staining her cheeks, so instead she kept her face hidden. At least until he mentioned her being his mate. Did Aurum really meant that? He would want her, shy, delicate, mess of a vixen Flora? Why? It wasn't like she was anything special. She had been told too many times that she was as delicate as a flower and needed to get a backbone.
"You.....You want me to be....your mate Aurum? But....you just...met me." Slowly the shy vixen looked up at him.

Aurum shrugged."well your the type of girl Id go for sweet not overly joyful. Youur the perfect girl.." he took a look at her and grinned"of couurse Im willin tah wait if you dont think your comfortable. I just think your the type who id propose to if I spent enough time with her.."

Her head was telling her that it was too soon after Kif, and that she shouldn't just rush into another relationship, but her heart was telling her to love again. Her heart somehow knew what her brain didn't, that Aurum would never treat her like Kif, he would never abandon her.
"This is all so sudden....I....I don't know what to think." Flora blushed.

Aurum looked at her and nodded."Im in no rush, honestly I had no clue this would be happening today. So its kinda sudden for me too. so dont feel bad" his tail moved from side to side not reall wagging just swaying. his eyes focused on her. then moved to his daughter.
Hiyoko smiled."well anyway I'll leave you two be. I gotta get some more done."

She sighed in relief and smiled. He understood and wouldn't push her toward a decision. That was good because her mind was swarming like no other. This was the last thing that she expected to happen today. To say that it had taken her by surprise was an understatement. She was afraid that she was still in shock with all of it.
"Thank you Aurum...." Flora blushed, "So um...d....did you still want to take that walk with me....I mean....we could.....get to know each other a little better that way."

Aurum nodded."of course Id like to go on a walk, besides I got nothin better to do..."he gave her a teasing smile."Icould always spend it with you instead of laying around like a lazy daeva."he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and walked outside."Ok lets get goin" he grinned.

"eep!" Flora gasped as she soon found herself on the daeva's back, "Oh my gosh...." She looked down at Aurum, "I am not a sack of potatoes Aurum..." She pouted, blushing wildly. "I....I can walk...." Though she had to admit that laying on a Daeva's back was very very warm, she nearly purred at the warmth from his flame.

Aurum looked at her."I could put you down if you want" He lowered his body so she could climb down if she wanted."Im just used to carrying people around, I likeit actually its very relaxing to me , lets my size actually be of some use other then to just be menacing.

"Um...." Flora looked at the ground, then instead nuzzled up between his wings. "I think I am very comfortable up here." She laid her head on his neck. "Is your fire always this warm?" She murmured softly as she closed her eyes. She felt so relaxed, it almost made her want to go to sleep. Almost. She managed to remain conscious by sheer willpower. She wanted to get to know Aurum. She needed too if she wanted to be his mate.

Aurum shrugged"as Long as I dont get angry the flame will stay nice and warm, but if I lose my cool then It would burn whatever comes in contact with it."Aurum remembered the 2 times this happened when Rinko was attacked and when Hiyoko was nearly killed. "I dont think that will be happening soon theough, so dont worry" he decided tochange the subject a bit."so tell me more about yourself."

"Oh..." Flora looked at him surprised, "I didn't realize that your flames were governed by your emotions. That is very interesting. Hm?" She cocked her head to the side and smiled, "Oh well...there isn't that much to say about me." She nuzzled against the back of his neck. "You already heard about Kif....I don't have any family...my parents died a long time ago...I was the only child...no aunt or uncles either....I've been alone most of my life."

Aurum nodded."You told me about him, but the news of your parents and famly is news to me, Im sorry for your loss." he said softly. He remembered how he ran away from his family as a kit, and met Rin. had he stayed home he would not be the same man he was now.

Flora smiled as she snuggled into him, "It isn't your fault...and it was a very long time ago. It doesn't pain me like it used to. I didn't mind being alone. I think that might be why....I am so shy now....I'm so used to being by myself that I.....I'm not sure how to act when I am around other foxes." She blushed, "Does that make sense?"
