Ptolemy made a noise even as he finished tapping the floor and folded his arms. "Either way, you know the whole thing know," He said, leaning against the wall. He flicked through the planes quickly and was slightly surprised to see a small, ugly, purple imp crouched at his foot, trembling.
"There is no way to go through," The imp whispered, inaudible on the first plane. He rocked against Ptolemy's foot and the djinni tsked, crouching down to it.
"You are pathetic, if you are going to give up and just sob there. Get up. Either you die or keep on living," Ptolemy said quietly, unpleased with his having to give an imp a pep-talk. The djinni moved on, shadowed by the imp who was sniffling and looking around warily, invisible and inaudible on the first plane. Ptolemy struck his hand against the wall, it jarring him slightly, and he came to the conclusion that it too had silver within it. His magic would not work on it.

 Ilyia Nerian
An agent of light, hidden in the shadows... I could never have dreamed this would happen.
"And it appears I have a solution unattainable to you," Ilyia countered, "now, if you have as much interest in discovering the source of all this power lodged in this building I strongly suggest you cut the manner." She reached back out of the reflection and looked over to Ptolemy with her own arms folded just beneath her chest. "Your preference of name, or I leave you behind. I'm not in the habit of asking twice more recently than a certain downfall in my life, and strictly speaking I have very little obligation to render this so you can pass, if I even can. Now, are you going to be reasonable about this or are you going to be so belligerent?" Her irritation rose, but still she kept what calm she could. It was true she had a way through the mirror itself, but despite rival interests Ptolemy had aided her despite her lack of need for it, and in fact he was in need of hers now. The chance to utilize this sudden advantage of position to her favor appealed immensely to her, although she dismissed the thought to what would come in the future on its own.
This is what I was created for, though; I can stand where she cannot. I can fight where she would fall.

A shriek was heard on all the planes as it was catapulted into the silver mirror and the djinni winced reflexively, a cringe locking him in a grimace for more than a few seconds.
"And I hadn't been talking to you. You aren't that important to speak to. I don't even know why you are here," He said, crossing his arms and looking to Ilyia with a raised eyebrow. "I hope you realize I am not following you through there," He said, indicating the mirror with his chin. Powerful as he was, especially compared to the deceased imp, even he could not traverse silver. He would die an unpleasant and painful death. He would have to find his own way somehow.
"If only I had chalk," Ptolemy muttered, eyes scanning the hallway, processing all that he saw, which sadly was very little. If he had chalk, he could merely draw himself out of the corridor. Simple enough...

 Ilyia Nerian
An agent of light, hidden in the shadows... I could never have dreamed this would happen.
The man made no sense to Ilyia. Even if he hadn't been talking to her his attitude was still remarkably belligerent, and all the while she was only offering to return a favor. Still the offer had been made and promptly refused; she had no more trouble in deciding to move on. She turned to the reflective space and paused just outside. "You save a woman from the wrath of a Shadow Dragon on the basis that she amuses you, you refuse to accept the offer of a potential aid forward even though you have more than enough reason to suspect a rival interest, and still you deem her unworthy of interest. I must say, Ptolemy... You have as much belligerence in you as an old friend of mine. The difference was he was the less of a fool as he knew when help was offered him. I bid you well." With that she stepped through the reflection, not quite figuring what she would find opposite it, but she could not think back either. The comparison to a particular Order seat that could best be described as a blundering dolt made her smile though. By her guess his pride and belligerence would easily have him venting rage for minutes on end, and that was with only a display that he indicated as not involving much communication. She laughed inwardly. It would be a hard press forward to be sure, but she was confident in her capability if needed.
This is what I was created for, though; I can stand where she cannot. I can fight where she would fall.

"You merely have very little patience for a djinni." He shook his head and chuckled, kicking the nearby wall and causing himself mild pain. He hmmed as a chuck of it fell away, revealing a small door, scarcely big enough for a mouse. He chuckled and entered it as a cobra.
The room Ilyia was in had again no discernable light source. There was a podium with a plaque on the top of it, reading "Three move forward, one moves back. seven move left, one moves right. Eight move forward." Beyond that was the floor, 10 squares by ten squares, alternating white and black. A door was on the far side of the room, simple and wooden.

Ilyia studied the floor for a moment, and frowned at her surprisingly few possibilities. The riddle made easy sense to her, but left her with an odd choice of beginning. She ran through the course three times in her head, but paused after a moment. Only one of them didn't have her coming adjacent to a wall... but all the same, it could easily have been by design. She looked back to the plaque and read it again. That it didn't mention any reprimand for mistake both worried and slightly relieved her, but she had no real choice in the matter. Stepping down just before the board, she stepped down onto the square second to the right, and braced herself in case of the worst.

A creak could be heard beneath the Creation's foot, but nothing else could point towards anything being wrong. The entire board lit up in a pale blue glow before it died away. A chilled wind blew through the room and the door creaked open a hair at the opposite side of the board. No hints were given away, no indication that there was anything wrong. The Creation merely needed to step the right way.

 Ilyia Nerian

Ilyia hardly paused in seeing what had happened below and about her, and proceeded forward two steps more, then without missing a beat took one back. She turned to her left and approached the wall for another seven steps, careful to maintain her bootfalls to only one square as she went along and stopped with another step back. She turned to her right and crossed the remainder of the board. After a moment's contemplation of her memories she approached the door opposite where she had come in. "Why does this remind me so much of Necrotis..." she murmured.

Ptolemy's voice echoed in the vastness of the room that was on the opposite side of Ilyia's door. Mirrors reflected him to be somewhere at the left hand side of the room. It appeared that the circular room with the high ceiling was some form of mirror maze, mirrors on the ceiling, the walls, and even orchestrated into countless standing mirrors.
"Lets try that way, hmm?" The djinni said to himself before he walked to the left a few paces. He cursed as he collided with a mirror and burned himself mildly as the essence of silver leaked through the glass of a mirror. "Why the hell did they have to choose a mirror maze? A normal face would do just fine," He said in a low growl.

Ilyia pondered responding for several seconds before simply shaking her head and stepping tentatively into the maze itself. If these held the same features as the ones in the more dull hallway then she would not have the slightest of problems ascertaining an exit, but all the same she could not afford to take risks now. She raised a hand in front of herself and willed a minute spark of silver into it, but immediately doused it as the entire surroundings grew blindingly bright remarkably quickly, and even the Creation had to shield her eyes from what comprised her own power. "Disorientation, would be my guess..." she said, giving up on her silence.

Ptolemy cursed as he strode into another mirror and tsked, shifting into a bat to rise above the mirrors. Above them, he could see the exit, a small door to the left of Ilyia and far off from her.
"Different perspectives help, especially from up high. Oh, you can't fly. Dammit that rhymed." Ptolemy said hovering before Ilyia, his small bat eyes hardly being able to see well at all with the mirrors. He shut them and found to his delight that sonar worked well for him. "I could help you out you know," He squeaked out.

"No, you've helped me quite a bit already just looking that way." Ilyia smiled beneath her cowl, her movements suddenly followed by a trail of images of herself, as she phased through the mirrors and took a direct route to the doorway, fully appearing just outside as she opened it. She stepped just inside the door and looked around, for once realizing she had managed to in some sense, top Ptolemy at his own game. "I appreciate it though," she called back as she rushed through.

"Now, I was nice enough to help you. That constitutes a thanks usually, hmm?" He asked. The room around them was dark save for a single torch near them, illuminating them but not much else. He tightened his grip a bit, a slow hiss rattling from his throat.
"Tick tock, venom usually doesn't take too long to act," Ptolemy said as a drop of venom beaded on his left fang.

Ilyia stiffened and tilted her head back slightly, reaching to pry Ptolemy away from her with precious little success. Even as she did though, numerous instances in which she had been in much the same situation as she had been in now flashed through her mind, and troubling though they might have been she remained calm in the face of all of them. This would be no exception. "I said I appreciate it..." she said faintly through a slight choke, "What more do you want?"

Ptolemy hissed in her ear softly, his tongue flicking out to touch her skin before he chuckled and disappeared into the darkness only for a thud and an "oomph" to be heard.
The light flared up in the room, several more torches lighting up. The walls were stacked sandstone, and the ceiling was pyramid styled, and low. There was a raised altar with a gold lounge chair. Before the three steps leading to the altar however, was Ptolemy laying on his back. He was being straddled by a woman with pale white skin and scarlet eyes, a kimono dangling loosely from her frame. A silver fan was in her hand, hovering over Ptolemy's neck.
"I eat djinn like you for breakfast," Isobel purred, trailing a finger down the djiini's neck. Djinn were not her favorites, their reactions were far too detached to pain, and pleasure. The demon tilted her head to the side though and surveyed Ilyia with an inspective eye. She grinned slightly and the fan trailed on its flat side down Ptolemy's chest, effectively paralyzing him with pain enough to last. Isobel turned her attention back to him and grinned before spinning off of him, propelling herself off him with her arms, her legs following her twisting body, before she dissipated into shadow, reappearing behind Ilyia, a fan lazily dropped against the Creation's lower neck, Isobel stepped in close to her, the demon's head nearly sideways on her shoulder.
"I would like to know, what such a...ravishing pair of travelers are doing in the castle." Isobel whispered in Ilyia's ear, a hand on her other shoulder.
