Well, let us see... Which would I choose...
Aphrodite, goddess of love? Would I chose her with her angelic beauty, and her oh so appealing offer of a woman most beautiful to keep by my side?
Athena? She was not a goddess of war. Technically, she was a goddess of tactics and strategy, not to mention knowledge itself. And what thing in this world could be more powerful, more beautiful than knowledge?
Hera? Godess of women, of life... of power. Would I take her gift of domination, the ability to rally armies at a single command?
Of course all of these gifts are dangerous. Love, pure and wonderful, can corrupt and destroy, driving men crazy and enabling them to do what they would never. Power has ben the fall of a great many, those who have thought themselves invincible, only to be struck down in an instant. And knowledge, unassuming and unbiased in it's natural form, can easily be turned to darker uses if one only has the motivation. After all, knowing one's secrets is a very personal, potent weapon...
And if I were to choose one, what of the other two? Would they not seek vengence apon me, apon my land, my family? After all this was Eris's plan from the beginning, for beyond all else, gods and goddesses are jealous and vain beings. You see, what was inscribed on that golden apple was the greek word kallisti, which means more than "to the fairest", "to the prettiest". And no goddess can stand to be anything but the prettiest.
And so the chaos ensued.
Vanity and Pridefulness are not attractive qualities. They push others away while turning one's own interests inward, like Narcissus. And look what happened to him.
Thusly, I would have to say that the fairest of all of the goddesses in this whole mess is Eris, because a sense of humor is the most beautiful thing anyone can have.
